Wish we had one in Fresno 11/05/21
    Angie R.

My sister and I stopped in Ralphs on 11/05/21 as we needed to get some drinks for my early birthday celebration and snacks for the nieces, other sister and bro in law. They were all so tired from our fun day at Six Flags Magic Mountain so we volunteered to go in and get the items. When I lived in Santa Monica and Westwood for two years. Ralphs was a whole new experience for me. It is such a staple in Southern California. I still have my Ralphs card and my family always get excited when we come to Ralphs as we know we are going to find legit good deals! I honestly believe the food prices are cheaper here than Central Valley in my opinion. Anywho, my first time at this location in Culver City as I usually frequent other locations were I use to live or where we are staying. But since this was on the way to the place we made a quick pit stop but I seriously do the most in any store especially if they have popping music in its over. My sister usually gets annoyed or embarrassed but I can't help it xD They have your usually grocery store items like ice cream, alcohol, juice, meats, deli, bakery, dairy, seasonal items, snacks and so much more. This store was very organized and clean. We found everything with ease. We got deals on alcohol purchases which was nice and saved boatloads of money. After check out I wanted to get some scatchers from their lotto kiosk and some older dude was there and we waited patiently. While waiting he struck up a conversation with us that he let us know he was a chauffeur and waiting for his "well known celebrity client" to be at the airport and shared with us a few stories which was pretty cool if it was true. Anywho, I got my scratchers and he let us know that earlier at another location he let a younger gentleman go first and that dude won 100K from a scratcher so he decided to come to this Ralphs and try his luck. I guess moral of the Ralphs story is don't others go before you when you are playing lotto as you never know if you passed your chance of a lump sum xD Great location, friendly people, staff ! I think I just won free tickets from this location from their scratcher machine xD

Local and reliable! Ralph's in Culver City is one of the most convenient grocery stores for me to pass by, so I find myself here often even though it rarely has the variety of Asian ingredients I hope to find. The parking lot out front feels really tight, so I try to find a spot a little bit farther away to spare myself the stress of nearby cars and pedestrians. It is always pretty clean, as all grocery stores should be. I spend a lot of time in the produce section and was really grateful to have kind staff bring out the fresh fruit for me when I'm there. That's really only happened on maybe 2-3 visits, but they've helped me pick out the best of what I am looking for, which they definitely didn't have to do. I also want to note about the time I bought napa cabbage here. It seems they only carry the dark green napa cabbage, which offers a different taste from the light green napa cabbage I prefer to cook with. I was hopeful to think I had one of my favorite hot pot vegetables available here, but I was wrong and will likely not be getting that cabbage again now that I know better. Finally, the sushi available here looks kind of sad compared to the sushi I have seen be available from other Ralph's locations. The selection is small but rarely seems appetizing, so I have never craved sushi from the options they have there. I am curious to see how their rotisserie chicken is. Overall, Ralph's is generally pretty reliable and has a large selection if you aren't looking for ingredients from other cultures.

tortillas found in the dairy section

I had only one reason to stop here after a morning at the beach. Our friends had shared with us that Ralphs sells fresh ready to cook tortillas, which I have yet to see at a grocery store. We have been on the hunt for the best tortillas without preservatives. Yes I know I can just make them myself, but to save some time, we decided to travel to the store to buy some. Most of the Mexican markets I go to, do make their own fresh tortillas but many of them use preservatives, which are listed on the back of their plastic packaging. Parking: This parking lot was pretty packed and tight. We just happened to snag one upon entering the lot. Customer Service: There are many people working at the store. After looking around in the tortilla and frozen section area without any luck, I asked a worker where I can locate the fresh ready to cook tortillas, she had no idea what I was talking about. She told me to look in aisle 10 in the frozen bread area, nothing. My husband happened to browse the dairy section, which is how we found them. Checkout: They have regular checkout aisles and two sections of self checkout, which is what I did. No line, was easy to use. Verdict: The only reason I would come to Ralphs is for the tortillas if I don't feel like making them myself. I generally buy the ones with preservatives, this flour tortilla only has 5 ingredients, which is fantastic, and actually taste more like an authentic tortilla. I was impressed and would travel every now and then out of my way to buy these.

This Ralph's is disorganized and sort of chaos inside. They put wrong price tags next to some fruits, what you actually paid is three times more expensive than what they have labeled.

I've had pretty good experience the few times I shopped here. Large produce and diary sections, well stocked service deli .... I was able to find everything I needed. Service was not bad. I saw a cashier opened up as lines get long. The helper at checkout bagged my items very quickly with good courtesy. A few customers were a bit rude but that's not anything the store could control. I'm pretty satisfied with the store.

Is that what this Ice cream Flavor will have me be... Ha! I'll take it!

    WEAR YOUR DAMN MASK
    Jonathan N.

You do NOT want to shop here, at least during the pandemic. They DO NOT enforce masks. So, if you want to catch COVID-19, then by all means, shop here. But seriously, don't. They can't enforce their own employees who are wearing masks without covering their noses, and I had to ask 3 employees to fix their mask, AND 2 customers who walked in WITHOUT A MASK AT ALL.... And the store does nothing to enforce it. If you want to see this crisis end, then for god's sake WEAR YOUR DAMN MASKS! Employees, WEAR YOUR MASK. Management: ENFORCE THE MASK POLICY AS REQUIRED BY LAW I will NOT be returning here again, and I will be filing a formal complaint with the main office at KROGERs.

What's more, after suffering a miserable kidney stone bout, I now have to be super conscious about the levels of oxalates since that's the particular type of stone my body unfortunately produces. So with a nice amount of calcium, and low carbs, I'm going to give these Icelandic bad boys a shot. The CSA of this experience was a classy cat named Jeremy-pictured. Although the purchase in and of itself was relatively simple, he saved me from what would have been a borderline embarrassing moment that's happened before. That's when you turn down a bag, and the product falls outside of or inside the basket and the leaks and everything else starts up-and milk, jello, or yogurt seems to be the leading culprits for this kind of pending accident. It was a small gesture, but a memorable one, particularly given the pressure of the crowd behind me. Thanks Jeremy! Your a credit to the Trader Joe's brand!

Yes, they are super cute, and will make great gifts. Just fill with your favorite TJ treats! They always have something new - like everything to do with strawberries at the moment, the arrival of the fearless flyer, or, the return of the spicy cheese snacks! This store smartly staggered their drops- thank you! Not everyone can get there early in the morning to await their allotment of three coolers (your choice or one of each color being dropped). I learned from those in front of me that they went early in the morning and had gotten the other "set of colors", and were back in line for the next three to make a full set, one of each color! Nice! Stood in line for an hour (people in front were smart and had umbrellas for the sun) - so after shopping, I did wait in line to use their restroom. The staff and management were busy cleaning, and I had a chance to chat. I complimented them on their organization-there was signage outside (three tote max per adult in line), and the fact that they were sure to let customers know that they didn't need to wait in line to shop if they didn't want any totes. I also learned they don't mind the craze and hype-and the most time consuming task was answering the phone;(. Yikes, I admitted having called first to check - which makes sense as a customer- but it also makes sense that they'd need one person just to answer the phone to repeat their stock status and drop times. (Can't do a recording, because you'd miss the other important calls unrelated to a drop.). They said it is literally hundreds of calls, which takes away from their regular tasks. I picked up water and more treats for the office in addition to the bags. Did I mention that my co-worker wanted one of each of the striped colors? Ummm, hard to do unless you're here for a couple of days and can revisit stores or something, ha ha! Nonetheless, my son is getting his favorite TJ treats, as will my office. Check box, task complete! Thanks TJ, for the good eats and drinks, reasonable prices, clean stores, and fun drops.
