I came here a while ago and I liked it. I feel like there was more selection than last time. Their meat section and everything had a lot of different options. When you walk in the have a lot of fresh fruit. Then they have a Starbucks and a Wells Fargo. Also a large pharmacy. Everything looked fresh, and I liked a lot of their vegan options over in the frozen section. It seemed cleaner and nicer than the time I came before. So I'm boosting them up 4 stars. read more

This review has nothing to do with the availability of product, hours of availability, or even customer service levels within the grocery itself. What it doea focus on is the management team in place who continue to outshine their competition (at least in the Westside of LA but probably in a region far wider) when it comes to the hiring and employment of people with either mental and or physical challenges. More often than not, you'll see them putting in work either offering or receiving the numerous grocery carts that most of us leave near our car. In some cases you'll see them even cleaning the outer portion of the trash can-yes sir. If nothing else, in this respect, I salute the hiring/management team at this Pavilions location. read more

Came all the way to this store because mother wanted some SEASONED Jennie O turkey burgers. Out local Vons stopped selling them. Actually, all Vons locations stopped selling them. Walmart/Target/Food4less/Smart & Final dont sell them. They only offer non-seasoned. However, Superior sells them. They are just frequently sold out. Unfortunately I wont be returning here. This store seems to be full of "bougie" shoppers. Who storm passed you like you are a piece of crap. No manners whatsoever. Usually when we go to local grocery stores, shoppers will greet and acknowledge my mother as they pass her and/or they will make eye contact. However, at this location, most shoppers will d@mn near knock you down just to go between you/your cart and remaining space left on aisle. They don't say excuse me or they don't even acknowledge you. Some of the employees were like that as well. It made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I don't like to be around people who think they are above and beyond strangers. Even when I went to self-checkout. The mean Pavilions employee told my mother and me that we had to too many items. I told the lady that the bottom cart and top cart were separate orders and contained less than 15, each. She looked at me crazy and just waved me on like a dog or something . Only reason why Im giving this store 3 stars is it has SEASONED Jennie O turkey burgers in stock. Which all local stores stopped stocking or depleted stock. Moms got two packs of SEASONED Jennie O turkey burgers and I got one. Mine will last until next year . Hopefully I wont be forced to come to this location again. read more

This store is trash and I wont be back ! I come here 5 x a week on the way to work to buy lottery. Today I bought $ 23 in groceries then tried to buy Lottery and an error came on the screen. Clerk refunded my money but when I asked to buy direct from the customer service desk, she said the only one with authorization to sell left for the day. It was 2pm - unacceptable! Shout out to this store for their huge selection, personalized customer service, and DELICIOUS (!!) in-house made bakery items. Underscore and bold the delicious because their bakers are incredible. I just purchased a wild berry pie and a pound cake from their in-house bakers to take to my parents' for pre-Thanksgiving, and both are INCREDIBLE. I also love their in-house made cinnamon bread. Oh and their chicken pot pies are also such a treat. I appreciate it when Anna hands out samples. She is just the sweetest, the samples are tasty, and they inspire me to make new dishes. Whenever I use the self-checkout and mess up, someone is always there to assist me. Badly run store. Managers are inept and are clueless and cashiers often overcharge you on your bill. The cashier overcharged me and after looking on my receipt, (mind you, I hadn't even left the store yet) I went to the manager, and she agreed that I was overcharged, after showing her my receipt. I think I learned to tolerate this store when it was my closest option in Hollywood but really. Why come. Bakery selection unimpressive hot food unimpressive everything normal but upcharged. Not by much but by enough that I know better. They cater to the surrounding communities with pig cookies for 1.50 that are 85 cents at an actual authentic grocer. I feel like people only shop at these places to make a scene or something. Just silly. Nothing I need here that I want to pay extra for. What a mess.... Came here for two bottles of wine all the lanes have 4-5 people and gave bern in line for 10 minutes. We are just getting to the conveyor and the agent tells us to go to another line. What I ask? She says she has to do lunch and will get in trouble. We have two bottles of wine it will take 30 seconds.. I ask why she couldn't have told us earlier, she states she didn't know. Beware of this store specifically the Starbucks inside of the pavilions they are giving out counterfeit $20 bills for a change to children and will not do anything to address or rectify the situation. They are fraudulent and steal from people. I don't know what kind of game they have going on but It's really sad to do this to innocent kids, especially during the holidays. Checkout clerks - 0/5 stars because they are as mean as they come. There's one male clerk who is pleasant but the women are not nice. I just witnessed one berating an elderly woman. In fairness, when there are this many mean employees, it could be the management. I will now drive miles to avoid this store. Today, 9/21/24 at Pavilions in Culver City was another wonderful experience! Theresa at the deli provided such an amazing customer service. I had ordered fried chicken in the morning to pick up at 12:30pm. At our first encounter, Theresa already exemplified top notch customer service. She was pleasant, friendly and courteous. When I arrived to pick up my order, another staff was helping me out but I waited a while for the fried potatoes and Theresa took notice of me standing there waiting and she immediately came to help me out. Very grateful for Theresa's service. She was kind and polite and very professional. Theresa should be a mentor for others and teach other staff about what customer service truly looks like. This Pavilion is a great market. They have a clearance table where you can really find some great deals. The ambiance is welcoming and clean. Convenient and has many fresh options. Now I know why I love shopping at Ralphs and am loyal to various Ralph's locations... I don't come to this store much, but I needed one thing that Ralphs doesn't carry. When I was ready to check out, they said the internet went out and it affects all the check out registers. They said it's indefinite when the registers will work again. Well, now they said the internet is back on, but the registers still aren't working. In the meantime, all lines are a mile long with people waiting...They said they'll hold your cart if you want to come back...WHO WANTS TO COME BACK?! Unbelievable and ridiculous!!! My Mother comes here to conduct business for Western Union. This store is always so busy BUT the employees are always always attentive! And the store is always soo lovely. My mother waited for about a good 10 minutes to be assisted...lo and behold JOEY, the store's SUPERVISOR was such a gem. Although very busy he was aware of everything that was going on in the store. Yet he was so very patient, kind and caring towards my Mother AND ATTENTIVE. And he's only 28!! For a man soo young he sure is mature....I see him moving to the top! I needed a container of eggnog, and since it was after the holiday, I was running out of luck. Went to two stores, nothing. I called Pavilions on Jefferson, and I was transferred to Chris in Dairy/Deli. He was super cordial, and said that they got one final late load of eggnog last night, and they had five more bottles in the back cooler. I told Chris I'll be there in 15 minutes. Once I got there, he brought two containers out for me. He professionally explained how it was the final shipment of the season, and they were trying to move the eggnog out to make room for new seasonal product. Not only did I buy the two jugs he brought out from the back cooler, but he also marked down both bottles to half-price because it was after Christmas (mind you, the product was fresh-- it just came in the night before). Five stars to Chris in Dairy/Deli and Pavilions for exemplary service. Super job! read more

Today, I am writing about an incident that occurred at my last visit. I would normally consider this to be a 5 star establishment, including everything else that occurred that day except for this incident. It was a quiet evening on June 21 after 9:00 p.m. when I was shopping there on a quiet evening. I always use a cart to shop so that I can use both hands, but after the courtesy clerk was able to fit everything into one bag except for a sixpack of a soft drink, I grabbed my stuff and left my cart at the front of the lane in front of the courtesy clerk. As I walked towards the exit, the courtesy Clerk, yelled out, "Sir, you forgot your cart!" Thinking I might have left something, I looked back and the courtesy clerk was pointing to the cart Ieft at the front of the lane. I called back, "That's OK, I don't need it!" As I turned back to walk out, he yelled, "Sir, you mean, you aren't gonna even..." and before he could finish his sentence, I yelled out again, louder, and slower, "That's OK, I do not need it!" I looked back to make sure I did not perhaps forget and item, but when I did, he was still standing behind my empty cart as though he was waiting for me to return. By this point, the checker had stepped back out of her lane and was looking in my direction. There was no customer behind me during checkout and I did not see another person approaching to checkout. The checker and the courtesy clerk were discussing the courtesy clerk's break and he said something to the effect of "I'll take my break after this customer." Since I did not leave any items, it is clear that the courtesy clerk wanted me to return the lane in order to take the cart somewhere else. Assuming he wanted me to take the cart outside with me, since I was halfway out the store, I would have had to stop and return to where he was, put my bag and beverages back in the cart and then retrace my steps on the way outside. As a courtesy clerk, who I assume is paid to move carts around, he could have easily push the cart to whatever place in the store made him happy. Because it was a slow night, it heightens my concern. The time he spent calling out to me twice and standing there waiting for my reaction, he could have pushed the cart where he wanted. This employee needs training in customer service and simple courtesy. I would appreciate a response from the organization to know that they are addressing this issue. As I said, this store has met my expectations of it in the past and I have higher expectations of it than other stores. This incident fell way below my expectations. read more

I placed an order for pick up for the first time, and it's probably the worst service I have had. Over half the items are missing, but somehow there is no checking to confirm accurate item amounts and labels (the way Instacart makes the shopper check off items etc). The order I placed does not at all match the final receipt. I ordered 4 pears, I was given 1. Ordered 1 pound of beef, given 1/2 (1 lb cost a total of $18-19 online... but final receipt has 1/2 lb for $17.63?!). In total 4-5 more items missing while I was only notified of 2. I requested a refund online and I can only select items that were on the final receipt (how do I show proof of a missing item I don't have???) If your store can't support pick-up shopping, save us all the annoyance and simply don't offer it. read more

I'm assigning 3.5 stars, calculated as follows. Starting with 5 stars because the store itself is nice. Well laid-out, has a good selection, and the produce is quite nice. Extensive bakery, good cheese selection, nice flowers, etc. Parking is also pretty good. I knocked off 1/2 point because they are not as diligent about checking expiration dates of their pre-made food as they should be (yes, it's also on the customer to check, which is why I only took off 1/2 point). I took off another point for the check-out person, even though she hopefully isn't representative of the rest of them. Besides not being very friendly, I had brought my own bags and she seriously overloaded my regular shopping bag (full to the brim with heavy items). She also put a lot of perishables (meat etc.) into the bag even though I had also given her four empty "cool" bags to use, which she ignored in favor of overfilling my regular bag. When I started moving some of the perishable items from the overloaded bag into one of my cool bags, she made a snarky comment. She was not appeased when I said something apologetically about how I was worried about the bag because it was not in good shape (it already was starting to get holes and I was worried about the handles ripping out). She then informed me that she doesn't fill bags with more weight than they can handle (yeah right) and then asked me rather aggressively whether I was going to bag my groceries myself. I was happy to agree (possibly to her surprise) because that way I could make sure the cold stuff stayed cold and she didn't put heavy stuff on top of light stuff. At the end she again made a rude comment, which I ignored. If a grocery store checker is not motivated to do a good job bagging the groceries even when she has time to do so, at least she shouldn't act insulted when the customer does it herself. I would probably go back to this store again but make sure I don't end up in her line. read more

This Pavillions Pharmacy is very busy; the pharmacists and staff work diligently to help customers. However, Pavillions should be ashamed of their system. Their system has caused so much stress from repeated lost fax prescriptions; poor telephonic messaging quality; notifications texts; and reminder text messages afer the staff has pulled the RX from the shelf. I do not blame the staff for Pavillions not providing a professional and reliable system. Hopefully, Pavillions will respond and immediately upgrade their system to the 21st Century. The pharmacists have gone above and beyond to cover for their failed system. What a waste of professional labor time. Someone at Pavillions needs to perform an evaluation of how their faulty systems affect labor and production. The store in general is decent. They rely alot on plastic packaged vegetables and are always out of organic vegetables. But, ptherwise they have a good selection and even have some unique foods. Never had a problem with cleanliness as another review stated. It is a very busy store. read more

This used to be a great store but it has definitely aged. My favorite things - 1) check-out clerks. They are quick and friendly. I get excited to see who's working when deciding what line to hop in. 2). Layout of the store is easy to follow. Thankfully they have kept the same floor plan and items are always right where I know to look! My biggest complaints- 1. they want you to use their app but there is no wifi signal in the store. Good luck updating the app as you shop or checking your shopping list/coupons while in the store. 2. There are a lot of expired items on the shelves. I've learned the lesson the hard way. After multiple return trips with expired food, I now know to check dates on every item (I almost always pick up something past it's prime). read more

I came here because I got the best price using the GoodRX app. The pharmacy would not honor the GoodRX coupon. They wanted to charge me $127 instead of $12 with the coupon. It took the 4 1/2 hours to fill the prescription and then 1/2 hour when I came to pick it up to tell me they would not honor the GoodRX coupon. I took my prescription back and headed down the street to the Ralphs pharmacy. They filled it in 12 minutes and immediately honored the GoodRX coupon. Even though I was the only customer when I dropped it off and when I picked it up, they were slow. They would not honor the GoodRX price. I will never come back here and I recommend you avoid this place as well. read more
