If you're ever to buy one of those cheese trays with crackers and sausages/pepperoni/salami, please please please double check first before eating them. I bought one yesterday and i was about to eat it, i found mold in one of the sealed sausages. Package says good until 6/9/2022. I brought it back and the manager let me exchange it for another one. However, most of the same trays with sausages also have mold! No wonder they were on sale! Hope they pulled those from the shelf! I let him know about it and asked if i can just get the one with the pepperoni instead. He agreed but doesn't seem to be apologetic. I get it, it was around the busiest time of the day, but don't make it seem like i'm being dramatic for returning a moldy food! I literally had to open the lid and showed him the mold! This Ralphs is pretty good. I like their salad bar. It's usually pretty fresh. They also make good sandwhiches in the deli section. It's a good place to go for lunch. There's even outdoor seating.. outside of the Ralphs, and along Sepulveda Blvd. There is a self service checkout here. Parking is pretty easy to find. The parking lot isn't too full. They share it with Starbucks, Robeks, and Quiznos. read more

This Ralphs Grocery store is going upscale, boutiquish and some what on the gourmet side. It's always well stocked with everything you may need and more. They have an area dedicated to all kinds of gourmet cheeses and the produce area its definitely worth checking out for their fresh fruits and vegetables. The bakery is stocked to the hills and by the way, the donuts and pastry are .75 after 4pm, just in time for the 5pm coffee break. Also, they are adding a Starbucks Coffee shop, inside the store in front of the cashiers next to the flowers area. They have a counter section to the right side of the store where they hand prepared fresh Sushi every day. They have a deli section that can make you a sandwich to order among other prepared foods the deli caters for groups for business meetings and football games parties or any kind of life event. Parking area can be a bit challenging at busy times and weekends as well. It's located on Sepulveda Blvd, and Mariposa near few hotels and I'm sure many hotel guest shop here. Also, it's the nearest to the LAX airport so, that said you will find that it tends to cater to that market. This Ralphs has a everything you need and more. Janet does not have an attitude and she year after year makes certain that she understands your needs and never tires of answering questions. Bought some bite size Dreyers ice cream on sale 4 for $5 after running around town not being able to get any National Ice Cream Day offers from Baskin-robbins or Cold Stone. Asked for some spoons, and was told to get some at the soup bar. No spoons at the soup bar. Asked the Deli staff, and after 5-10 minutes got a spoon. Service and stocking of items are terrible at this place. By the time I got in the car, the ice cream was partially melted. To add insult to injury, my wife almost fell after she stumbled on a cut iron bar in the parking lot. Looks like Ralph's got rid of a sign by cutting it down, but didn't bother to cover up the jagged pole remnant. A huge safety hazard. If she hadn't been holding my hand, she would have fallen and injures herself. Ralph's is part of Krogers, but Kroger's in Michigan is much better than Ralph's in SoCal. Prices are generally more expensive than Vons. Staff are ok, they just don't go out of their way to be overly friendly like at Vons. Good and bad I guess. The store itself is real nice and clean. Well stocked and lots of choices. They have the requisite deli and salad bar setup which is nice. Parking sucks during lunch and after 4p during the week. The part that gets my goat the most is their beer pricing during their so-called sales. They have posted signs in big bold black on yellow letters showing rediculously low prices. But, in teeny tiny little letters it mentions the requirement to buy 4 to get that price. 4? WTF? Why would anyone want to carry around 4 six packs instead of a case or 2? I know why... Because the average Joe coming home from a long day at work, looking to grab some cold brew to enjoy at home won't notice the small print, bring only 1 six pack to the register expecting the sale price, and be stuck paying the regular price instead of holding up the line like a jerk to grab 3 more. tsk, tsk. I went to Ralph's at 5:30 this morning since they no longer offer senior shopping hours. I did have a hard time finding anything with the aisle switch and many aisles were blocked. But the most disturbing thing was about 50% of employees were not wearing masks or were not wearing them properly. I asked 1 guy to please put his mask on and he tells me, "I work here" So I went and found the manager and asked her to walk the store and see how many employees were non-compliant! A blatant disregard for the guidelines in place, for their customers especially the vulnerable population. I have been shopping there for 20 years, but after today, I will not go back. This used to be one of my favorite places to shop, but not anymore. It's been declining for quite some time. For one thing there are never hand baskets available. Customers are forced to search the entire store to find a basket. On top of that some genius decided to create an in-store display using hand baskets. Brilliant! There are a lot worse Ralph's out there than this supermarket. Of course, there are better Ralph's around, too. This one fits safely in the A-OK range (3 stars). Most importantly, this Ralph's is convenient just south of the 105 Fwy on Sepulveda. Coming or going, it makes an easy choice to stop in and pick up whatever's needed. Since it is open 24 hours, you can find things when other places are closed, too. The store is similar to many other Ralph's with produce, deli, flowers, baked goods, pharmacy, liquor, and most other grocery basics. The store is clean and organized. Has a lot more than the ones by my soon to be old hood. However, my pet peeves is 1) The parking-seems because of the other businesses (Jersey Mike's, etc.), it's kinda hairy trying trying to drive into and trying to park or back out. Lot seems smaller. 2) the attitude of a couple of cashiers - just two bad apples. (three if you count meat Dept - just the young man that needs brushing up on customer service) But, other than that, the selection, the quality and atmosphere - reminds me of the one downtown LA on 9th (well almost, that one's bigger). But for living out here, it's as good as it gets for being the local market to go besides Whole Foods. It's got a few Latino products too, in case I can't make it or don't feel like driving to Hawthorne. The other employees are a lot friendlier & helpful. read more

I really hate coming to this Ralph's. If it wasn't for convenience I would rather go somewhere else. There is basically only one reason....and that is.....SOLICITORS. For some reason, this Ralph's seem to have the most solicitors at both entrances. I really don't want to be bothered when I just want to buy milk. I have turned back several times when I see them...even before I park my car. Or sometimes when I really need to get something, I pretend I'm talking on the cell phone. This Ralphs is my favorite Ralphs only because it is the one closest to my work place and I like to drop in for lunch quite often :) Common items I get are sandwiches, fried chicken wings, deli salads. Pick up some chips (Eat that, work vending machine!), fruit, and drink and I am good to go! The nice part is that outside there is an eating area by the Starbucks that is great if you want to have a seat and just chill while you have your lunch. I like this Ralph's because it's close to the office and I can get Spicy Shrimp Inari from their sushi counter. And if it's not ready when I get there, they will make it for me. Also tried the tuna pasta salad today. It would probably taste better without the dill and if the tuna wasn't so dry and if the pasta wasn't so al dente. Forget it, don't get the tuna pasta salad. Albert, my checker, is a total jerk! Rude, unfriendly, negative! Worst checker I've dealt with in years at least. No hello, no smile, no thank you, just his miserable scowl & negative personality. He should not have a job working with customers! As a commercial real estate broker I leased & sold 1,000+ properties including grocery stores, often dealing at the highest levels. Now mostly retired I shop at various Ralphs, Vons, and other markets every week, so I have reasonable expectations. Back in the middle of my career Albert would likely be out of a job. Most of my reviews are 4 or 5 Stars, so I'm not a tough critic. However I will never sit idly by and let a jerk like Albert treat me & others so poorly. I'll be contacting Ralohs corporate next week to file a formal complaint. If I could give this Ralph's ZERO STARS I WOULD. Ordered groceries online for pickup between 9a-10a. Auto system asked me to indicate when in route (I did) and when I arrived (I did). After waiting in front of the store for about 20 mins I called the customer service desk. Told the lady I was waiting (I was the only one waiting). She said someone would be right out. Waited another 20 mins then went into the store. Lady working the self checkout approaches. I tell her I need to cancel my pickup order because 40 mins is to long to wait. She asks the two emps working on some orders if they heard her announce my arrival. The girl mumbles (into the locker she's standing in front of) "I was on break". The male employee says nothing. The girl then mumbles again "I canceled the order". No one apologies, no one tries to make it better, it's just canceled and I leave the store. 40 wasted minutes and those three still have a job. This isn't Covid-related. This is a Kroger Ralph's that doesn't give a shit about its customers or their time. I still need to grocery shop but I think I'll head back to Target Manhattan Beach. A+++++++ customer service. Felt a little sickly this morning, so I stopped in my local Ralph's before work and grabbed a Vitamin C juice to boost my immune system. Being somewhat in a rush, I went to the self-checkout line to pay for my item. After having trouble at the first register, I was prompted to wait for assistance, but being in a rush, instead of waiting, I moved to the second register, paid for the item, and left. Moments later an employee shouted to me from the door indignantly saying that, "Hey, the transaction didn't go through. You have to pay for that." I quickly put 2 and 2 together and realized that the employee probably looked at the first register (that was calling for employee assistance and asking me to wait) and not the second register where I then paid for the item. I asked the employee, if she looked at the second self register and not the first register and then proceeded to walk towards my car. The employee went back inside. I was certain I paid for the item. Long story short, I felt unsettled after the experience and rang the store to ask to speak with the manager. I was taken aback that the employee assumed, but also recognized that the register asked me to wait for assistance, to which instruction I openly disregarded. My call was to ensure that everything, indeed, went through for payment but also to address the unpleasant experience. Sheri took responsibility for the mixup, immediately apologized for the mistake, and pleasantly wished me a great day. Professional. Courteous. Respectable. Unbelievable that in this day and age a store is still not taking Apple Pay. It's no wonder that the ratings for this location are so low.

Basic supermarket. Clean, organized, and well stocked. Parking is tricky depending on the time of day as it is it in a smaller lot with other businesses (which happen to be popular at lunch time). Produce usually seems fresh, although the bananas can get way over ripe before they have greener ones out. I usually shop later at night when there is no crowd and always am greeted by Betty Jo at the check out. She's been working there for years and always makes me smile since she's a well oiled machine and makes my check out fast and friendly.
