I forgot why I came here but I'm a big lazy acres fan. I come for the meat counter, there's yummy things in the bakery and hot bar, now I'm a fan of some of their juices in the tonic bar. The oatmeal raisin coconut is a can't miss. I love that in each city I've visited them in, they have merch representing the community. This one had surf gear too. Senior moment! I came bc wild caught salmon was 30% off. They sell Beelers items and have a kick ass McConnells section. There's little things here and there I can't find other places. Never did I think a grocery store could make me feel this way. It is my favorite place to shop with such a wide variety of products. The fresh poke bar rivals some of the best poke in the South Bay. The staff is so kind and when I was studying for my NCLEX here, one kind man gave me a warm fresh cookie to nibble on. It was delicious! The store feels like a more personal and better version of Whole Foods. It has that total beach vibe that makes you excited for a day in the sun. One subtle thing, when trying the soup bar, maybe ask employees how fresh they are. I recently brought home a soup that I've liked in the past, but today it tasted old and smelled off. But overall love this place. read more

We come here for their pies. So far, we've had their peach raspberry, blueberry, cherry, and apple. All have been delicious. My husband likes their freshly baked peanut butter cookies. I gave an extra star because this is an absolutely beautiful market, everything was so orderly and clean and honestly the hot bar, salad bar, fresh food, bakery all smelled and looked amazing, This review is only based on an açai bowl. I was shocked at how awful the açai bowl was. Really just the açai itself, it tasted freezer burned but in addition to that, just really tasted terrible. The fresh fruit, granola and peanut butter was delicious and I absolutely tried to get the least amount of açai on my spoon while eating the bowl. The photo is what was left at the end and it went straight to the trash. I'm shocked at a store of this caliber serving such a terrible açai. I love an açai bowl and I have had açai bowls many places, never met an açai bowl that I didn't like but until today. For being a natural market I was really shocked that the açai was not made fresh or at least of better quality. read more

Food: Higher quality grocery items are available at this Lazy Acres. I love coming here for their Butcher service area. I got some great short ribs and chuck steak that was choice quality but felt like I was getting prime. There are wagu and prime options as well. The veggie and fruit section is great and I love to come here when hatch chilis or when sumo tangerines are in season. Food bars have some items I do not see at a Gelson's or Whole Foods so it is great for that as well. Service: Very nice staff on all my interactions I have ever had here. Ambiance: Clean and well kept grocery store that is "rural-classy" so it never feels pretentious. Price: It will cost you more but you will get better quality here. My favorite items to get here: Straus Milk, Carrot Cake Slice, and Chocolate Walnut Cookie. I always come here for a quick dessert when I am craving something sugary and quick. Carrot Cake Slice - This is one of the most delicious desserts I have ever had in my life. The decadent cream cheese frosting mixed with the cinnamon carrot cake is to DIE for. We went to the kids cooking class today for the first time. My children had a wonderful time making their own tacos . The chef was so sweet and kind to all the kids . I'm sad to find out that there will no more classes after June 30th , I wish that the ceo changes their mind . We signed up for all remainder classes until theirs no more . I called before St Patrick's Day and they assured me that they would have corned beef and cabbage starting Monday, March 16. When I went there, no corned beef cabbage and the worker said, "Well I asked them about it and they said no." I bought clam chowder on that Monday, it was tasteless, the worst I've had from there!! While purchasing food for my daughter, I was treated in a way that felt rude, judgmental, and discriminatory by an employee named Tammy at the self-checkout. Tammy made comments and behaved in a manner that left me feeling uncomfortable, singled out, and humiliated during my visit. This is a fully stocked market with a very large variety of produce, food items, and all of the kind of the everything-else that you would hope to find not only a your average supermarket but at one that is focused on living a healthier lifestyle. This market is located on the corner of PCH and Artesia. So, if you're anywhere in the South Bay it is easy to get to. Plus, it has a very large parking lot. So, finding a parking spot should never be an issue. Once inside, you will find a very clean and very airy shopping space. This is a large market that is very well organized. From my experience, the staff here are all very nice and happy to help you with anything you may need. This market truly has a lot of stuff. From a great produce section, onto health orientated fish and poultry. Plus, a large variety of items like vitamins and shampoos and all of that kind of stuff. It truly is your one stop shop. Yes, of course this is a high-end grocery store and so expect some of the prices to be high-end. But actually, some of the prices are less expensive, uncertain products than a store that you would think of as cheap cheaper like Vons. Some of my favorite aspects of the store are the people who work here. They're always so nice to me even though I'm only buying a couple of things. And people like Johnny in the beauty products section are kind and helpful when I have loads of silly questions. Back in the bakery area, they make the most phenomenal cookies! I'm only sad that the cheese department is so tiny. They do have good cheese and yes, it is much more expensive than Trader Joe's, but they have some amazing flavors and types that you won't find anywhere else. I like the smaller scale environment of the store compared to how massive it is at Whole Foods up in El Segundo. It just feels cozy in here and like it's easy to find everything. I go to this location frequently living in the area, but this review is specifically for the girls who work at the juice/coffee bar. There's 1 girl who's really nice who works here, but the others usually have an attitude and they're not very friendly when you come in and make an order with them. I'm not sure what's up with that, but I've seen other reviews on here about the exact same thing. So whomever was working Mother's Day today (5/10/26) around 11:50am..... not sure why they seemed so irritated I placed an order for 2 juices. They also were not nice to a man picking up his order next to me. Edit: during my order the girl was interrupting me going "yeah ok anything else?," she threw 2 straws at me after I picked up my juices I ordered LOL -- and there was a man who was waiting at the pick up counter who asked the girls if that was his order. And they said to him very fast, "yeah it's written on the top" and walked away. He said "oh sorry, I didn't see that" and the girls "yeah it's written on the top" and walks away. I love this market. I love the freshness of the salad bar and the hot bar is sooo good! Their cookies are my favorite! My only complaint is the older Caucasian lady at the bakery she is sooo rude. After 2 visits to LAM, I consider this a high quality supermarket with alot to offer. They have an excellent selection, including many hard to find brands. I particularly liked the fresh oysters and cakes. The seafood guy was very nice and offered to shuck the oysters for me which was great. BEWARE. This is a review about the hot bar and sandwiches. I haven't eaten at lazy acres in a long time, It used to be much better quality. This year I have had food poisoning twice both times right after eating at lazy acres. I cannot say with a hundred percent certainty but it's enough to make me stay away. The first incident happened after an assortment of food from the hot bar and the next time was the poke. I noticed the poke quality has gone down significantly and immediately regretted eating it. That day I also bought a sandwich from the sandwich area where they made them over the counter or heat them up. The bread was so dried it was basically a cracker consistency and just so not worth the price. I don't know what happened to food selection at lazy acres but it's a huge bummer. read more

Lazy Acres has been my favorite grocery store since I discovered it just before Covid hit. I love how clean, bright and open it is. I took 3 stars away because in the last year, the cashiers have gotten horrible. They are slow and don't seem to care that they are slow. I was just there today and it took 15 min to checkout with only two people ahead of me who had very few items...I had 3 items and almost just said screw it and leave without making my purchase. I don't have the patience anymore to deal with it so I'll be going back to Gelson's and Whole Foods. read more

Hands-down, one of my favorite grocery stores in the Southbay area. They have quite a few natural and organic items that you really can't find at most grocery retail outlets. A few items that I usually pick up here include t Calle Vida's Ginger Manzana Tepache , Big Tree Farms vanilla coconut sugar and I am also huge fan of their $5 slices of cake !!!! What really won me over and what inspired me to write a five star review today was there environmental token reusable bag program . If shoppers bring in a reusable bag, they will give you a green token in which you can place in one of six boxes that correspond to a local nonprofit or charity of your choice . Update review: I drove to their Carson corporate office, spoke to the front desk lady, I was given a number to call to complain and I was able to speak to a store director within an hour over the phone! They offered to hear me out, was kind, and then followed up with me by email offering me to come back to the store and offered a $20 gift card with an apology! Shout out MARK! All the love that was shown because I didn't give up! I kept pushing my side of the story! They fully investigate employees behavior because they don't tolerate non sense like that! First review: I see they respond to reviews! GREAT! I have a complaint that is regarding what happened this morning at this location. I already sent the L.A website contact us page a message about this, to corporate and to this location after going through what I went thru this morning. Service was pretty bad, basically it was the managers fault and behavior that made the company or store look bad. On his behalf, in which I hope he gets reprimanded for his behavior, he did not take accountability nor did he apologize for what he did to me today. He was racially profiling me while I was in the store, being evil, as I walked out, yelling nasty verbally abusive slurs in the parking lot at me while I was walking to my car. He then lied about what he said as well when he was confronted. Misbehavior on his part. In which I forgave him but I addressed it first. Since I already explained what was going on through the website contact me page, I don't feel like writing it out, just know this manager at this location was hostile, nasty, and abusive. Just know, nothing I did was guilt worthy. I was a victim till I told them off. I defended my rights myself and my life. As I should had. The ambiance of the store is beautiful and I'll go back regardless of the employees behavior because it's not all them it's a few that aren't good. I love lazy acres and I'm very local. But I must say, the juice and coffee bar service has dramatically gone down. The staff is never friendly or happy.
