Well, another month, another delivery, and we are all still in the same place. Got the same spumoni, cremolata, jelly ring, pineapple flavors and tried Rocky road and crazy coconut. This is Italian ice, so the rocky road is not that creamy. Not that crazy about the rocky road. But love the rest of the flavors. Especially the cremalata with lots of crunchy almonds. Happy start of summer Hi, everyone. Hope you are well. I just got a delivery through Grubhub of some Ralph's Italian Ices. Don't know about you, but I'm in need of some comfort food right now and ice cream makes me happy. Since Amazon and Fresh Direct are out of time slots and I'm too chicken to venture out, I sought the help of the trusty food delivery app. Good thing Ralph's Italian Ices is available online. Every time I go to a Ralph's on Staten Island, there is always a line and it's cash only. Through the app, I am able to order many flavors with no stress. I received delivery within half an hour of my order. Here is what I ordered (don't judge, this will have to last me for awhile and who knows what will happen to trestaurants soon): Cremalata Spumoni Cherry cola Jelly ring (my favorite! Ralph's Italian Ices - definitely a summer staple. I've tried a ton of them but with such a variety of flavors, I don't even think I've made a dent in half of them. And I've been alive for 28 years so that says a lot lol. This is one of the most spacious Ralph's locations I've ever been too. They actually have indoor seating and sell more than just ices - think ice cream, sundaes, and a huge variety of candy. There's a little something for everyone. The 7 Layer Cookie ice is a best-seller and one of my absolute favorites. It's a creme-based ice with actual cookie chunks. I usually don't leave here without a scoop of this. I recently tried the Vanilla Fudge Brownie which was just okay. Kind of just tasted like the bottom of the freezer with brownie chunks, but can't really win them all. My new jam might just be the Birthday Cake though. A close runner up to the 7 Layer Cookie ice. If creme-based ices aren't your thing, don't worry. They have a huge menu of water ices including Watermelon, Cherry, and Cotton Candy. read more

Very disappointing this used to be a Med size & now this what is considered a Lge & the poor workers get in trouble if it is not "To Go" w/o a flat surface on top w/a flat plastic cover. The ices are good however many of them are plagued with ice chunks. The place looks clean until you take a peek behind the counter where the freezers that hold the ices look very dirty, and it definately harbors bacteria. Im not sure they ever clean them thats why stickers are placed in the windows and the ices are not visible. Ralphs-you need to do better. read more

I come to this Ralph's a lot. They usually have a good service which they always do when I got my route and got home. I started eating it like a normal person would do when I took a bite of it. Staff can get a little fussy around closing time. They told me at around 10:20 pm (they close at 11 pm) that they couldn't make a shake because the "blenders were off" Really? Their red velvet ice is the bomb.com!! Super addicted to this flavor. I originally wasn't a big fan of Ralph's just because I'm from Jersey and I am partial to another brand of italian ice, specifically the bubblegum flavor. When the BF and I started dating, he brought me here trying to impress me w/ the great flavors of Staten Island. Needless to say, I was not impressed. I felt the bubblegum flavor was too sweet here. However my whole world changed when I had this red velvet ice. It's got chunks of real red velvet cake in it! This location is clean and the staff is super friendly and helpful. A nice plus is two seating areas in good weather; one large one indoors, and a few tables and chairs outdoors on the sidewalk. Reminds me of Little Italy. If you're pining for that old fashioned full of flavor ice that you remember from way back when, this is the place for you. Go in and taste a few flavors, they never mind. Then, try to decide on just one. It's not easy! Mango, peanut butter and jelly, spumoni, or some fancy concoction. I've almost never been unhappy with their flavors. Just a side note, a few flavors may be too sweet for your taste. If in doubt, ask for a taste first. Otherwise this would be a full five stars! Their selection is huge, and there's always a new flavor to try. If you can't decide on one, they'll be happy to put more than one flavor into your order. My family has been going to the original Ralph's in Port Richmond since it opened. It's a Staten Island institution. Ever since they started franchising though...eh. Even though this place is nice, it doesn't taste the same and the prices are through the roof. It used to be about a dollar for an ice. Now you're paying over $3 for a small. Don't tell me the cost of water and flavor has gone up so high. read more
