Ralph's should not contract with Instacart. Per the shopper, our order was left on a luggage cart by a "big white thing" at the valet's direction. There is no valet where we are lodging, no big white thing and no groceries. We are seniors. I tried visiting and calling nearby properties -- no luck. My sister is traveling with me, so now we have a possible health problem because she's a 76 year old diabetic. Someone has $200 of food, we have a health and safety challenge ( it's late and dark). Instacart tells me it will be 10 days before our money is refunded. Ripoff and incompetence. read more

I've been coming to this Ralph's ever since I moved to the area. I have always gotten quality service from the employees and managers. The store is always kept very clean and tidy. Make sure you sign up for a Ralph's Membership Card as they will get you killer deals all the time. The deals do rotate every few days, so you can get quite lucky on certain items at times. This Ralph's is great. It's clean. It's neat. Staff is friendly. It's close to my work. It has self check outs for us sometimes anti social people. The store never seems too busy. They're open from 6am-1am daily. I love it. There's really not much else to say regarding a grocery store....we all know they sell foods and drinks and random misc stuff that you can be surprised to find at a store. On a side note--when I went in today, I also needed to pick up a new Compact (powder make up) and I didn't want to have to stop at Target too. So, I bought one here. Holly cow! $11.99 for a compact that I could buy for $6.99-7.99 at Target? I'm reminded why I never buy make up or any sort of hygine products at the store. I guess it beat the gas driving to Target and the hassel of standing in another line for one item. But still...really, dearest Ralph's, must you jack the prices of hygine/makeup products like 50%?! If I could shop at any supermarket it would be this Ralphs. It's awesome! Unfortunately I live in Costa Mesa so the only time I can shop here is when I'm at work picking up a couple things at a time but this Ralphs seriously is HUGE. They have a huge delcious deli. I love their sandwiches, salads and chicken. Everything is fresh and delicious. You can tell because whenever you're walking through their deli you can see about 5-6 people working back there so you know their pushing out food constantly. Great place to shop. This particular Ralph's grocery store is so much bigger than the Ralph's location that I frequent. It is my local grocery store for the drive home from anywhere. It is on my way home from the office and seems to always have what I am trying to find. It suits me fine when I need to find something quick and easy. The fruits, vegetables, and breads seem to always be fresh and well maintained. The larger aisles are always clean and well stocked with the big sale items. All in all....Four Yelp Stars is great!!! read more

After going to fancier grocery chains I decided Ralph's will be my go to. You just save money coming here because you will find incredible sales on items that are nearing sell by date. Other chains don't have those kinds of markdowns. Especially if you go mid week you are more likely to find the deals with the "woohoo" sticker. read more

It's a pretty new Ralph's so the inside is pretty nice and clean. It has a homely feel. The produce selection is very colorful and eye catching. I had to come here late at night b/c people are sick at home and I needed to make a ginger and medicine run. This location is open until midnight and parking is relatively easy. There is not a lot of people out at night especially not in Lake Forest so I parked really close. It was an easy grab and go. I looked around for the ginger and found it. They didn't have that many to choose from but they looked nice and I picked up a bunch. I was in and out in probably less than 5 minutes so that is always a plus. I have been here a few times and everything has been smooth. Out of all the Ralph's around here I think I like this one best for being new and very clean. read more

I have never been more upset, nor embarrassed while grocery shopping. I had one to many things in my hand and decided to put one of my items for purchase (deodorant) under my arm. I later decided I'd get it at a discounted price somewhere else, thus putting the item back. As I made my way out of Ralphs I stopped to catch up with a friend, and within moments was confronted by an African American man running up to me- claiming to be a "Ralphs secret shopper" (he had a badge and all) and was accusing me of shoplifting. I was in awe. What the hell gave him the idea I did that? I handed my bags over, he recognized there was nothing there, and moved on with his day. I'll never be back here.. I understand secret shoppers are great, but there should be evidence before you run up to someone and accuse them of a crime. read more

Just had the misfortune of dealing with "Kaleb" who was downright mean and unpleasant. Kaleb was abrupt and impolite and talked down to my mother. I think he has a serious hang up about females. He was brash with the lady ahead of us also, but very friendly with the blonde boy next in line. He overcharged my mom on two items and refused to correct it. Beware!!! My visit to this location was a dangerous one. While checking out an issue came up with the self-checkout. I was then approached by one employee who was followed by another employee. Jay approached me without allowing social distancing and both employees were within 6 inchs of my face. When I expressed my concern and anxiety and then had to step away to give the six feet distance, I was then made fun of by one of the employees and called names. I am a senior citizen and I felt very concerned and high anxiety by the way I was treated. I've even tried to contact the store manager when I returned home, and was told that he wasn't available to speak to anyone until after 1. This is not the first incidence of a Ralph's employee at this location not observing the 6-foot distancing, however, I never felt more in danger then my visit today. I've been coming here for a couple of years now. The store is always clean and the staff is always ready to help. I have a six month old and sometimes carrier him in front carrier when I come into the store. Whenever I have him in the carrier, someone always offers to unload my groceries on to the conveyor belt. Checking out is usually fast and they are quick to open another lane if there are more than two customers in line. read more

This Ralph's isn't even in my city of residence but it's still one of my favorite stores. About 2 months ago they did a complete reorganization of the store interior and it was definitely a winning move. The shelves are stocked higher and the displays are much more modern. I love that the have the brands we grew up with but also have added a great deal more of newer, healthier options. read more

This is a big Ralphs and it is clean, but I find the layout not so good. They do have a deli with high quality meats, Boar's Head, but their prices are high. They do have De Waffelbakers frozen pancakes, which will bring me back to this Ralphs. Awesome homemade taste out of a frozen pancake, amazing! read more

I have to say this place is very clean! Considering I eat the food from here, if it's not clean, IT AIN'T HAPPENING. Okay, now that we got that part out of the way my two favorite places in this store are the Boar's Head Sandwich Station and the CBTL (Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf). The sandwich artist (lol whatever) are quick to help you out and they listen to what you want on your sandwich goes. For example, I asked for the sandwich to be light on the dressing, and they didn't pour the whole bottle on one side. Thanks! The CBTL has someone working there 6-6p so I usually walk over on my lunch break to grab The Original Mocha (an iced drink with whipped cream). It's tasty enough to satisfy my sweet tooth which I appreciate without feeling super guilty, even though I still feel guilt after. Oh well, whatever. I will still come for you my delicious mocha drink! ;) The employees here are quick to open up other lines but some of the PEOPLE that shop here are a different story. They're seriously so rude sometimes which reminds me that this isn't the fabulous Ralph's location in the Woodbury Town Center in Irvine. I was watching somebody grab a cart and some disinfectant wipes from the dispenser and Mean Old Grandma scoffed and went around. Fine, you take the dirty shopping cart, you jerk. This place has changed. There is NEVER anyone at a register which forces you to use faulty self-service machines. ALWAYS LEAVE AT LEAST ONE SERVICE LINE OPEN!!! Being 100% 'modern' is not a good thing. While I was checking myself out there was a handicap woman that had NO help and was unable to do the self-service line. NOT OK!!!! That is a ADA Violation. I was there today trying to get someone to assist me with a Western Union service and I waited for 20 minutes and no one helped me. Employees we're walking by the front area of the store and didn't acknowledge that I was there. Finally a cashier named Patty said that it would be a while. Her lane light was off and she kept working with clients that kept coming she just had me there waiting. No one called anyone to assist, and I keep asking if someone worked the area. Went their today at 1:00pm today and I was at the customer service desk, for 5 mins everyone just went in and out of the customer service desk and never bothered to ask what I need. Finally after 5 mins, i was told to wait for 15 mins for the manager to attend for my needs. After 20 minutes, I asked where is the manager and was just told that the manager was busy. If only zero stars were a real thing, the deli at this Ralphs would be a winner. The two sullen teenagers (one with ballcap pulled brim down over eyes and the multicolored hair one) left people standing at the counter while they chatted away, leaving alarms going off and not making eye contact with customers. I really like this Ralphs alot more then most Ralphs cause it is a lot bigger and more of a higher end looking and feeling store. The Good -a REALLY good selection of booze. They have the 30% off when you buy ____ amount of qualifying selections. (They have Wyders Pear Cidar!) -A nice store compared to most. The Bad -Ralphs rarely has great pricing anymore. -Still need to have a card to get the pricing. -Meat department kinda sucks. Last time I was at this location, I found Private Selection "Huckleberry Pie" ice cream (described as huckleberry ice cream laced with cinnamon ribbons and studded with buttery streusel pie clusters). This Ralphs is located in The Arbor next to the Goodwill. It has so many closeout tables and it is also very big. The closeout tables were piled high with merchandise that was on sale, ranging from cosmetics to canned goods or baked goods. We bought a lot of it. The closeout tables are located in the back aisle, next to the restrooms, and in the freezer aisles. They have self-checkouts here too, but they were all being used at the time so we used a human cashier. It went pretty quickly and everything was scanned properly. We had a stellar experience at the deli here today. We needed a lot of stuff for our 7 day RV trio so we were full of questions. Malcom helped us and he was so knowledgeable about the brands and shelf life of each item, it was really great and so helpful! So the other day, I was grocery shopping at Stater Bros. Honestly, I was disappointed to say the least. But then I decided to hop on over to Ralph's. Everything was so neatly organized and the food looked so fresh, but nothing compared to the astounding customer service! I was paying for all my food and a lovely little lady by the name of Ashley struck up a conversation with me. She asked me how my weekend went. Honestly, I was not in the mood to talk, but she totally turned my day around. It was a small conversation, but she genuinely wanted to ask about my day.
