Ralph has done work for us before. We called to have him come out again. He has a receptionist who answers his calls. When I first spoke with her, she went on and on about how Ralph doesn't want to go outside 1604. I think I know where I live. I live inside 1604. I explained that to her. So she took our appointment. Then the night before he's supposed to come out to do our repair, his receptionist calls again. Tells us she is cancelling the appointment because we are outside of 1604. My husband again tells her we are not outside 1604, we are very very much inside 1604, by several miles. She doesn't listen and our appointment is cancelled. Very unprofessional. If you don't want to come to our address, fine, but don't tell us we live outside 1604 when we very much live inside 1604 as the reason you are cancelling. read more

I'm glad I found this service on Yelp. All other repair shops in the area said they were backed up for four or more weeks. I called called Monday and they were able to set up an appointment for Tuesday afternoon, the service was fast, thorough and professionally done. The price was fair and they didn't try to gouge me or sell me anything I didn't need, I was also given tips on how to better care for my lawn and mower. I highly recommend calling and setting up an appointment. Side note: the service came with the added pleasure of talking to Ralph and his wife and getting a few good laughs in the process. Ralph is a great guy, but his scheduler is terrible. She promises he'll come, you wait all day, then she texts you at 11pm saying how sorry she is, he can come tomorrow. So tomorrow you wait all day... and he doesn't come. Again she apologizes and comes up with a myriad of excuses. Its terrible to just want your mower fixed, know that Ralph can get the job done, but his scheduler almost seems to enjoy messing with your mind. Other mobile repair services have even heard of Ralph and not showing up to promised appointments. I would not use this business. I made the appointment a week in advance. They were supposed to come out the following Saturday. I was given a 5-hour window (7-12) for them to show up. It's 12:30 no call no show. It's 2pm. No call no show. It's 3pm and I call them. I'm told Ralph is trying to make up for the previous day and the he would be coming. It's now dark. They never called nor showed up. And I still haven't received a call from them. This business if you want to call it that, is very unprofessional. Ralph is proud of his knowledge of small-engine repair for good reason: He's really, really good at it. My mower was a mess, thanks to another guy who didn't know what he was doing. When I took it to Sears for repair, they gave it back, saying it couldn't be fixed. After showing it to Ralph, the mower was cutting the lawn better than ever. Frankly, I think it was in better shape after he repaired it than it was when I bought the damned thing. That's how good he is. He's the man! UPDATED REVIEW---When Ralph came by this evening I was amazed. He is extremely organized. His old van has a roll-out cage on metal wheels that hold all of his tools, spare parts and fluids. He can put the lawnmower on a waist-high platform for easier access. He's intimately familiar with the small engines that power these mowers and quickly gets at the suspected problem, and explains the issue in a way that is logical and makes sense. As you observe the way Ralph goes about his work, it becomes clear that he is both a fixer and a teacher. Watch him long enough and you'll learn how to fix these cranky engines, but don't bother. Garbage, complete garbage... says I am outside 1604, which I am 5-10 miles INISDE 1604 down Bandera, and calls to cancel my appt because he demands that I am OUTSIDE 1604. I think I know where I live, and where 1604 is, lol. If you didn't want to fix my lawnmower, make up a better excuse. He has been to my house before, 2 years ago, but now he thinks I picked up my house and moved it outside 1604, so he won't come out anymore. ROFL. With that said I called this company to set an appointment to have our church lawnmower serviced and repaired. I spoke with a female who took my info and set me up an appt and said the repairman would call 1 hour b4 service was to take place. Here it is 4:50 place close in 10 mins and I have yet to hear from anybody about the repairs of the church mower.
