This man doesn't like to be bothered.

The worst, most insulting customer service I've ever had. I was shopping at Ralph's after church when I had an immediate need to use the bathroom. That happens when you're a 70+ year old guy. I found the bathroom in the back corner near the pharmacy, but it had a combination lock, which makes sense these days. I asked the Pharmacist for the combination but he refused to give it to me, and sent me to the front of the store to get it from a manager. The produce guy took pity on me and gave me the combo, just in time! When I finished attending to my needs I exited the bathroom, and seeing the Pharmacist in his cage asked him why he wouldn't give me the combo. Having just come from church I was dressed in my Sunday finest and I was pushing a cart of Ralph's finest I was planning on cooking for a big Sunday dinner. "We don't like to be bothered" was his response.

Paul told cashier that I might peel off the Reduced label and return the 4 bags to get $80 barcode full price refund.

This one star review is only for my experience on Fri Nov 18, 2022, with employee named Paul, short guy with short dark brown hair . I found four 1.6 lb bags of shelled pistachios on the clearance rack for $9 a bag. I know the cheapest pistachios where you pay for the shells cost $5.99 on sale at Sprouts, usual sale price is $6.99. Costco's shelled pistachios are $18.99 for 1.5 oz. This clearance label does not say like the other clearance labels say, what the "WAS" price was. Employee was adding a cartful of clearance bakery items to the rack, so I asked her what the regular price was of the bag of pistachios marked down to $9.00. She said to take it to the cashier up front and they will tell me. When I asked Paul, who was at the self serve cash registers to help me find out what the original price was, he put up a wall of an unwilling attitude and said it could not be done. When I told him that his co worker stocking the clearance rack told me the cashier's would be able to tell me, he said that his cash registers in the self serve were "too sensitive" and he did not want to subject them to my request. When Paul saw me starting to peel back the clearance sticker from the original barcode, he said what I was doing was "illegal". I got in a female cashier's line. She peeled back the rest of the Clearance sticker, that I had started, and scanned the original barcode. It said $19.95 was the original price. Wow, I told her. I am going back to get the other two bags I left on the Clearance shelf, cos not knowing what the regular price was, I only brought two of the 4 bags to the cashier just to find out how much the discount was. When I told my cashier to charge me for 4 bags, Paul told the cashier in front of me and the customer behind me "make sure you write this down, because she may return the next day, after I peeled off the Clearance label, in order to return the 4 bags and get $100 refund at regular price.". I was shocked. I thought Paul's conduct was so unprofessional that I am going to tell the store manager what Paul said and give this Ralphs a 1 star review about my experiences v--- - with Paul. His whole demeanor from the time I asked if he could to me the original price, will last in my memory everytime I come to this Ralphs. I see this Ralphs has more 1 star negative reviews than any other star rating.

This is from a recent visit.

The people who work here are nice. The place is fairly clean. That's all that's positive to say here. The shelves at this store are typically empty of basic items. It's so frustrating to be unable to complete your shopping. Every time I've spoken with management they blame "the supply chain." But the Ralph's just north on Ramon does not have the same problem. This place is so bad I've stopped going here even though it's two minutes from my house.

Overpriced on a lot of items (basics), and a pharmacy that went downhill in service and attitude very recently.

Ralph's has a nice selection of alcohol. We went through the beer and wine section and came across a nice selection of sparkling wine.

Get them while you can as they are seasonal and only available during certain months. Besides picking up the flowers, they alway have everything I come for and then some. The isle and shelves are alway neat and clean. The staffs are alway so friendly and welcoming. I've seen some even help people take their groceries out to their cars for them. The layout is pretty easy and classic to the ways of Traders locations. I'm usually only in town for a weekend here or there and when coming up to visit friends and or/stay this is one of my main go to places for snacks, small groceries, and wine. The service here is great and even when it's very busy I still feel like everything runs so smoothly. Awesome produce, nuts, hummus, dips, chips and veggie friendly finds. Impossible nuggets in the frozen section? Yes, please! A bottle of French rosé... It's a yah! Good prices and quality everything. Whether your local, passing through as a traveler or just visiting. I don't know how they pick and choose location to add one compared to the normal. I've only been to the one in Orlando and now this location in the desert. Of course you have to have a massive parking lot to accommodate the loads of shoppers and wanderer's. Three entrances on either end of the store and garden center. There's a fast food place inside, you have the deli section and bakery. Of course the frozen section with quite some nice decent items. It's basically a grocery store on one side of the place. Even a decent isle for the international goods. There's a fairly decent section/department where the alcohol is located. So you have one side that's groceries and the other is basically everything else. Home goods, technology, clothing and so on. There's even a pretty decent size garden center that is pretty massive but it was a little sparse with what they offered. Some patio furniture, mainly soil and the usual pots and some plants. They also have a department for delivery and pickup. It's quite interesting for me...lol... Of course you have the option of self checkout or with someone. Bags are additional fee as we all know. What I didn't understand is, some of the items you would need to pay before hand if you want them. There's the beauty department where you have to leave your basket outside and pay for what you need before returning to it. And some other items in the store where you have to do the same or they can leave it at the customer service counter until you're finished. I had to do that with a measuring tape. We were still shopping and asked if it was ok. The staff seemed a bit annoyed with the request but took it to customer service anyways. Besides that concept, it a pretty good place for your one stop shop.
