A luxury grocery experience in the heart of the desert Bristol Farms in Palm Desert feels less like a grocery store and more like a curated boutique for food lovers. Walking in, you're immediately greeted by an atmosphere that says this is not your average shopping trip. Everything here feels exclusive--from the thoughtfully arranged produce to the imported snacks and gourmet cheeses you didn't even know you needed. It's the kind of place where you find truffle mustard next to hand-churned butter and realize you suddenly have dinner party plans. The juice bar deserves special mention. I ordered a custom green juice and watched as they pressed everything fresh on the spot--no shortcuts, no mystery ingredients. The staff was happy to make suggestions based on what I wanted (a balance of earthy and energizing), and the result was bright, clean, and delicious. It felt like a spa treatment in a cup. Every section of the store has a "discovery" moment--whether it's the gorgeous seafood display, the curated wine wall, or the deli stocked with chef-prepared meals that look like they came from a restaurant. If you're looking for a quick in-and-out grocery errand, this probably isn't your place. But if you want to elevate your ingredients, indulge in the art of shopping, or just feel a little fancy on a weekday afternoon, Bristol Farms is it.

This is a hidden gem within a grocery store chain (Bristol Farm's). The server (Carla) was soooo friendly and helping. She takes orders with a huge smile. There is plenty of seating with a taste of oak and brick interior. I ordered the avocado toast which was amazingly delicious. A bit costly, but I can't expect cheep from this franchise.

Let me start with, I truly miss the San Diego and Irvine locations. Bristol Farms has spoiled me on a few things... Poke and Cookies! The San Diego location was close to my work, and their Poke is THE best, on par with what I considered to be great in Hawaii! When we are in the area, we always stop by the Palm Desert location. They are extremely friendly and helpful; the store is always super clean and organized. The layout is very consumer friendly, and they have so many great things to offer. They have great selections that you won't find in a lot of typical grocery stores, their cheese selection is fantastic, they have a great selection of very high-quality meats and unique produce. They offer great selections of premade, hot food as well as their own cafe with a nice little area that you can sit and eat your food. As I mentioned in the beginning, the stand outs for me are the Poke and the cookies! They have a Poke Bar, and their Ahi is amazing! Quick tip, ask for your sushi rice separately so that you are not paying poke prices, for rice. They will happily place it in a container separately for you. Their Cookies are amazing! I still prefer their original chocolate chip, but I don't hate on the peanut butter ones. They always have a buy 6 get 1 free deal that is hard to pass up. These cookies also DO freeze well, and I was told you can get them par baked if you are planning on picking them up to travel with them back home and you don't live close, although I have not tried this yet. If you are in the area, and I know it sounds weird, but this is a fun place to go check out and check out some cool, unique and delicious items. Also, their Beef Jerky is pretty amazing!

    The cookies!

I have one word for you: cookies. If you know, you know. They are warm and delicious. Dark chocolate chip with walnuts, milk chocolate, or peanut butter. Everything in the bakery looks delicious and of course the entire store is beautifully displayed and everyone who works here is pleasant and kind. Buy some groceries if you like, but don't forget the cookies!

Bristol Farm is store of color, freshness, and life...When you walk in you can smell of the fruits, veggies and etc...The service today was great...They are all very friendly and offering help! The parking outside is pretty big and the store itself wasn't busy which it makes shopping pleasant...I love their flowers! Bristol is a local farmer market that you can find great products all organic/ natural...In this place, the price is high and I call it the luxury farmers market! Everything is carefully selected from meat, to cheese, to wine and etc...Organic produceeee!!!!'They also have, bakery, Deli and sushi and I love their fresh salads....

I just can't get enough - just can't get enough (Sushi Combo Plate: on sale this week for $15.99 :))

*Bridging the Gap* Bristol is a gender-neutral name of Old English origin meaning "meeting place by the bridge." It is derived from the Old English word brycgstow meaning "place at the bridge"--a reference to the bridge built over the River Avon in England around 1000 CE, where modern-day Bristol is located. There's 35 Bristol cities in the United States -- mostly known in Connecticut, Virginia, Tennessee, and New England. There's also cities in Peru, Jamaica, Costa Rica too. There's 13 Bristol Farms Market locations in the U.S. -- all in California. But for the past 18 months, my favorite Bristol is in Palm Desert bordering Rancho Mirage. Without being repetitive and ranting as I can do with my previous review, I feel the need to express myself again because Bristol Farms has bridged the gap from a 4 to a High-5 The Sushi Bar: Anna, Daniel and Rick are so friendly, helpful and as legit as the fresh fish. They're happy to please your palette with freshly made sushi & sashimi, if what you're looking for or craving isn't already premade in the cold case counter. IMO it's the best bang for the buck sushi in town. POKE' BAR: Fresh & Delish. But I prefer sushi rice than what's provided. Service Deli: 3 words -- Ted, Brisket Period (Ted in the service deli is the best and takes serious pride in his smokehouse Brisket skills and provides exemplary service to all customers) The pulled pork is better than I expected. Hot Food Bar: I don't eat too much Chinese Food, but they have the best Orange Chicken. They use real chicken breast that's lightly coated in tempura batter. The orange sauce is so delicious and not too think nor salty. Whenever I'm craving Chinese Food, this is the only place for me (unless I want Chinese Chicken Salads) And the freshly made daily roasted turkey & gravy is pretty pretty pretty good too. Bristol Cafe: Excellent food, quality ingredients, large portions, reasonably priced, and outstanding customer service from the entire team -- especially Carla. (if you want to learn more, search for my Bristol Cafe review on Yelp) Bakery: Excellent but pricey. My favs are the vegan donuts, bagels and cookies. The grocery items at BFM are priced more than I like to pay at other places I shop, but Bristol Farms has great weekly sales, discounts and promos that make routine weekly visits more worth while for me, and wifey too. They also carry a few items we rely on that no others do. And Benny in Produce is so awesome & helpful. Most of the cashiers are friendly & helpful but would like to see more checkout stands open during peak hours. The past 18 months I've spent most of my time in the Coachella Valley and eat most meals at home, so I shop at lots of grocery stores. I embrace the challenge of balancing quality and value. But for me, I can't live without Bristol Farms for the reasons mentioned above and that's why they're still in my grocery store starting rotation. And already planning my next visit ;-) {{{Big High-Five}}} Grandslam Lifelong Fan

Beautiful Bristol Farms. So clean and organized. Addicted to their freshly baked warm cookies. Large prepared food section with dining tables and booths. Great juice bar with super service.

Things were very expensive. But the peanut butter cookie is delicious and I'm so surprised they have tamago. Japanese sweet egg. Even masago. I'm going back for those. I'm surprised at how great the quality of the egg sandwich was. I highly recommend.

Outdoor Seating, Dog Friendly! It's been a while since I've been in a Bristol farms, I was in the mood for pizza unfortunately, I think this location stopped selling pizza? They did have a hot bar but the food did not look pleasing. The sushi looked ok and the fresh poke also, did not look good. I decided to grab a sando but those were overpriced, nothing special about them, they were pre-packaged an no one was at the sandwich station. After that experience I probably would not step into a Bristol Farms again. We shall see........

We arrived at 8 AM on Thursday and sat near the front of the restaurant. There were three other tables occupied at the time. I really enjoyed the Bees' Knees latte. My husband enjoyed his latte and my son had iced coffee. Beverages are served in unique and very pretty porcelain teacups. We ordered the Bananas Foster waffle with sausage patties, the half order of prosciutto avocado toast with eggs on the side, and my son had the chilaquiles. This is the kind of place where you can savor an old time atmosphere with many things to see as you enjoy conversation. This is not a fast food restaurant. The staff are warm and friendly. The half order of prosciutto avocado toast was really delicious. The bread was lovely and dense and could have been toasted a little bit lighter for ease in cutting through the vegetables. (This was easily the perfect size for a meal, and the whole order is equally beautiful and generous.) My husband is still swooning over his lovely waffle and sausage patties. He gave his dish a solid 4 stars and talked about it all the way home. My son had chosen the red chilaquiles which had just the right spice level. The place filled up steadily until we left about an hour and a half later. We have a patio outside, which is receiving a new sunshade and lights. Mona the owner explained to us that on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. They will be serving dinner. She was warmly greeted by people who are obviously regulars to the café. We look forward to coming back soon because it was very difficult to make a decision on the menu and everything looks so good.
