REASONS TO NEVER PICK NP ISLAM GANIE AS YOUR PSYCHIATRIST:…read more 1) Information blocking. Good luck getting your notes/records, he was willing to give me two records out of twenty sessions. Florida has laws in place to require providers to give records from all sessions for continuity of care, but he argues "two records are enough." Absolutely disgusting behavior from a nurse practitioner. 2) You're required to see him weekly. No other psych I've ever had required this. With other therapists, you can skip a week or two no problem. Not possible with NP Ganie, he will write you a nasty message for rescheduling one appointment. He forced me to see him every single week, zero flexibility whatsoever. No other psychiatrist has ever been so overbearing or inflexible. 3) Prices are insane. If you lose your insurance, seeing him is $300, and he won't write any prescriptions unless you see him weekly. You'll never have the choice to see him every two weeks, or once a month, etc. And if you ever need a letter (even if you pre-write it) he'll charge $800+. Other doctors sign pre-written letters for free. 4) He charges $200 for late or missed appointments (not billable to insurance obviously) despite the fact that he was an hour late to one of my appointments (literally missing it, but I was willing to still see him the hour after.) So him saying "no patient has ever waited more than 15 minutes in our two years" is a blatant lie. 5) His office rules say "Slander, libel, or defamation of staff or the office may result in legal action." Thankfully I have proof of all of my claims, but there's a good reason he includes this in his long list of overbearing office rules. He wants to scare you into not criticizing his practice. Other psychiatrists don't have to say "we'll sue for slander" pre-emptively to every single patient. 6) "Patients who have been discharged must wait a minimum of 4 months before requesting to return.The current waitlist for returning patients is approximately 6 months. A $250 non-refundable Return of Patient Appointment Fee must be paid upon scheduling." These are all just scare tactics so you continue seeing NP Ganie every single week. "Six month waitlist" is total BS considering you can see his availability on Grow Therapy and he has tons of open slots every single day. 7) He will intimidate you into returning all your medication to him personally if you try to change psychiatrists. No, I'm not kidding. I have screenshots as proof. UPDATE: He just sent another threatening text message to me, see the attached screencap. Notice how he can't say that anything I said is wrong, he just vaguely mentions "discrepancies" (no specifics because he's unable to name any) and threatens me that "further action is now pending" despite the fact I've been discharged for weeks now. I genuinely believe NP Islam Ganie is a sociopath. I also attached my response explaining how he's violating federal law by threatening legal action in response to an honest review (not that he cares, he's violated Information Blocking laws, he's violated DEA regulations by admitting that he coerced prior patients to return all their medications to him personally for alleged "disposal" under threat of being discharged, he repeatedly intimidates patients with legal threats just for leaving an honest negative review, etc.)

From first hand experience, the excellent reviews did not lie and it has been a reason I've been a patient for over 2 years. NP Izzy is very friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. He provides excellent patient care and makes one feel super comfortable. He took the time to go over my history and listened to my concerns. He has done a wonderful job ensuring I am doing well and actually keeps up with any changes in my life, both physically and mentally. When taking care of his patients, Izzy provides a lot of useful information and takes your input when coming up with a medical plan. I'd absolutely recommend going to TCL Medical if you want to be treated as a whole person rather than just a number. You will not be disappointed!
