This Ramada Inn may be cheap but don't book here. First off they were remodeling so construction is everywhere, small parking spaces and don't even try to get on the internet, had big trouble. Although the room was small but clean oh I forgot they do not have any drawers to keep your clothes in. I had to keep my stuff in my suit case and the refrigerator was sometime working. So if you don't mind keeping your clothes in your bag it might work for you. But I wouldn't come back. If you need a day maybe but not more than that. read more

If you stay here, you will regret it. There was a maid that was so unprofessional. She hit a guest's car and when I pointed it out to her she didn't even care. I was walking from my second floor room to the first floor and she had the audacity from the second floor to throw a really heavy stack of dirty laundry bedding in front of my path to the first floor into a really big black tub on wheels. Seriously she's so lazy, walk the dirty laundry down to the bottom of the step. It's not that far. Since the parking lot is obviously uneven, when the dirty laundry crashed into the large oversized tub, the tub rolled and hit a mint red Tesla that had no pre-existing damage. Photo attached. I told her that she hit the red Tesla with her bin because she threw it. She told me it didn't matter because there's no damage. I looked at her and said that is SO unprofessional. I shook my head and disbelief. I also went to use the microwave in my room and apparently the microwave in my room automatically locks your food in there. So while waiting for the maintenance person to come unlock it. (Obviously when you're microwaving food, you're ready to eat it right away). He didn't arrive so I figured it out myself, in the middle of the sea of buttons, there was an actual "unlock" button. I've never seen or noticed that before. Even though you don't lock the microwave, apparently it locks on its own and so I was able to figure it out and unlock it myself. I went to the front desk to check out and I told him about both of the issues and he did apologize but didn't do anything about it and just gave me my receipt. I also have never in my entire career with a company had to personally pay for the hotel room because it's billed out. This hotel actually billed my personal card instead of the company direct bill. This went all the way to corporate in order to fix it and all the way to our travel company as well. I will never stay here again. There is also no window facing the outside parking lot. Quickie, next-day update: I got the 100$ incidentals deposit back this morning. While I wish this place had the amenities of Extended Stays (Kitchen! Poo bag stations!) along with this hotel's particular location, I was satisfied with our stay. I use the Bring Fido app to book rooms in the area, and I've been to every Extended Stay from here to Gardena (all are yucky, ghetto, shady...). I chose this one based on how close it is to my mom's place... literally less than 2 miles away! I started my check-in online and finished up in the lobby and the clerk was super friendly. He offered me a downstairs room but I declined; next time I will say yes. I could feel the motion of people walking by and hear others taking showers in their rooms. Walls and floors are thin here. Parking was plentiful; room was tiny but clean. I didn't expect a microwave as it wasn't listed in the amenities but was grateful there was one to warm Cali's food up in. A nice touch was the Dove brand soap, haircare and lotion. I showed a photo of tons of scratches in the floor to my checkout clerk; I didn't pay for the pet insurance through the app and sincerely regretted it this visit. My dog is very well-behaved and didn't make those; I would like to get my 100$ deposit back. Many reviews are low because of the dining experiences; I didn't eat breakfast here because I didn't want to leave my dog alone in the room. Overall, we will be back when visiting the area. I hardly use hotels so note that it costs more if you use a hotel on Friday-Sunday. I was here, Tuesday-Friday and checked out on Saturday morning. A 4 night stay cost $570.91 for me. Out of all the hotels I've been to, this place has the thinnest walls. The first room I stayed in had noisy neighbors. I could hear their TV and loud conversation very clearly and I had tons of trouble sleeping. It was so bad that I I had to ask them to give me a separate room because I couldn't even sleep. Even though I could still somewhat hear my new neighbors, they weren't nearly as loud as obnoxious as the previous ones. Note that there is no complimentary breakfast at this place; it costs $10 each morning for it. The hotel does come with very slow wi-fi, a very small gym on the second floor, and an outdoor pool and jacuzzi. Unfortunately, there is no printer which I really needed to use. Also unfortunately, the gym has no elliptical, just an old treadmill, bike, and row machine. There's only 3 sets of light dumbbells. The good thing is that the rooms are clean and comfortable. Not all the AC's/heaters are the same though. I prefer the ones that have the actual number of the temperature written on them instead of just a flatout knob with colors. My partner and I booked a room on their website using their "instant booking" feature but when we arrived to check-in they said we did not have a booking. We showed a confirmation number and the confirmation text. If I could give this a no star I would. I made a reservation on booking.com and I had until 6pm the next day to cancel. So I did cancel the room. I proceeded to call the hotel and one man named Jorge answered and stated there was nothing they could do because I needed to cancel 24 hours in advance. When I checked my bank statement on my pending transactions they had already charged a deposit and the room even before I got there to even check in. So since I canceled the reservation and called The property. The manager, another women, and a man named Jorge all were rude, unprofessional, and made me call back three times to check in about the status of a refund. The last call that I made was to one of the women and she lectured me and had attitude of me the entire phone call about the refund and then proceeded to tell me that she'll refund me and then just hung up on the phone. I would not stay here and I will not be doing services with Ramada. I had to call corporate in order to verify that the refund was made, and that the deposit was reversed so if you want to avoid all this, I will check into another hotel. read more

This is not a Ramada/Wyndham standard quality hotel. It's obviously a Motel with the brand name attached. The rooms are junky. The sink drain was broken with stopper cap off; the towels were dingy and very grey (see photos); the door to the "balcony" was unsecured and unlocked (see hole in wall on balcony). It was not worth the $129 plus fees per night. They also bury the pet fees policy on the website-- $30 per dog per night, not a flat fee like other hotels. I asked to speak to the manager who hid in the back office and told the front clerk to make an excuse about being on an "important conference call" and that I should be the one to call her back in 45 mins. I said I'd like her to actually call me , which she did not, and I had to call her over an hour later. Needless to say, she was not helpful and was indifferent to my complaint. We were not going to stay another night because of the conditions, so I asked for them to release the 24 hour advance policy to cancel the second night and not charge for the room. She wouldn't allow it and then said the owners also refused. Can't believe anything she said. In any case, it is not a hotel, it is a motel and not a very good one. read more

The infrastructure of this inn is outdated. During our visit, the water tank in the bathroom leaks, the water output of the shower is lacks water pressure, and most importantly the wi-fi reception in our room is mediocre at best. We smelled an unpleasant odor left by previous guests in the room and bathroom... It is useless asking the front desk to change the room, because almost every room is in the same terrible condition. If you report these problems to the front desk, they will delay it with various reasons until you leave. The fees they charge are not worth the bad accommodation. We are paying customers and yet we feel like we are being treated with terrible living conditions... This management needs to train better staff and update the maintenance on hygiene sanitation in these rooms. read more

The Front Desk staff (Sam & George) were very gracious customer-oriented staff that always aimed to serve the guests with a SMILE. You will ALWAYS remember the GOOD ones! On my check-in, Sam called my attention that I had TWO (2) erroneous confirmations made by Booking.com. And suggested every measure to call the attention of Booking.com that did not have an available means of contact to clarify the issue. No chat desk, no Toll Free telephone number, just an email (duh?!). With him noticing that I was disabled, he gave the closest easy-access room available. This is usually the hotel I book with but the last few times their cleanliness standers have declined. My recent stay 6/24 - 6/26 was my last stay unfortunately because of a disturbing stain on the bottom of the mattress. I was able to spot it from the closet sliding door mirrors just across from the bed. This occurred on the first night; the property said they had no other vacancies and could give a 10% discount for that day. I had to reiterate that there was no way I was sleeping in that room and it took some persistence to finally have them change me to a different room. This is a HORRIBLE PLACE TO STAY. We were given a room in a pet friendly room as we had a dog. We found the bathtub to be filthy. Called and asked for the tub to be cleaned. Came back to the room and it was locked. Checked at the office and they said on entering the room they saw what looked to be 2 beds and wanted to charge additionally. Tub was still dirty. I booked a room through Booking.com, when I arrived to check in the front desk attend it was not very helpful and a little fussy. It took a long time for the check in process, longer than I've ever waited at any other hotel. Once I got to my room I was a little disappointed it felt like it was a halfway house. If I could give a ZERO, I would without a second thought. I booked through Booking.com (they get a ZERO also for lack of rectification), which means I was on the hook when I approached the door. I was booked for 3 nights. The reason why I picked this hotel is because they claimed to be pet friendly with no other stipulations. When I showed up GEORGE informed me that there was a $30/night animal charge. Since this wasn't listed or mentioned anywhere on their website or at their front-desk, I asked if the reservation could be canceled. They wanted me to pay one night, which I had a major issue with. Unfortunately George is not the decision maker, nor does he possess the skills to be able to handle a customer service issue in a way that prevents me from being on here writing this. Simply put, buyer beware... do not stay here unless you are desperate. Besides the awful service, this spot looks pretty shady in a rather upscale area. Upon entering the strong odor of urine hit me. Strange thing was a couple of women were cleaning the breakfast area. At Registration a young lady was polite and apologized for taking a long time with 2 guests before me. I booked prepaid for a room through Southwest Airlines travel concierge that included breakfast but the woman at Registration insisted if I wanted breakfast it would cost me per person per day and would not budge on refund or giving me the meals....then to make matters worse the room smells like the lobby, the walls are thin and you xan hear peoples conversation next door,the parking spaces are tight... probably won't stay here again read more

It's 2019 and I'm sitting in my motel room with one bar, I step outside and I see people holding their smartphones up to the sky trying to receive better service, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! A cheap budget isn't worth the stay. When I mentioned the poor connection the front desk man, he said "I know" giggled/smirked then walked away. The housekeepers throw away stuff you save, they clean your room even with a do not disturb sign up. The doors to the rooms do not fully seal to the frame bugs get in. I'm in a room (116) where the A.C kicks out some sort of residue from the actual unit so I have black particles on the floor of a white towel I've laid downand the rooms are all laminate hardwood so you hear ever single human/animal/ drop/ sneeze from the room rooms around you. Well my first night here, Sunday, we noticed that the toilet continued to run, but a jiggle of the handle and it stopped. I was awaken at 3:45am with the continuous sound of the toilet running. I called Front Desk, no one available to fix toilet and changing rooms at that time was not an option. The following morning, we relocated two doors down and after returning from doing laundry and pool lounging, we discovered that our key cards were deactivated at approx 12:30. I called Front Desk asking for assistance to get into it room and was asked to come to the front Desk to retrieve new cards. I explained to Marlene that I was soak and wet and was not going to be able to make the trip to her office in that condition. She mumbled hold on and I assume disconnected, there was just dead air afterwards. There was a gentleman walking by, clearly maintenance, and I shouted it to him to help assist. He abruptly waves me off, advised me to contact the Front Desk and keeps walking. I explained to him that I had and was waiting for someone. I requested that he reach someone on his walkietalkie to confirm someone was coming. He was clearly annoyed and irritated that I would ask him to do such a thing. However, he did get me into my room quickly once he took the initative. It is 10:50am, this morning, I am preparing to checkout. I have spoken to manager Nicole in regards to the first night and how my guest and I was not able to sleep, however the 2nd night was OK and that I would be interested in staying another night. She offered a 10% of discount and when I asked if that was all she could do for a terrible night at her hotel, she confirmed there was nothing else more even after I told her I was a Hotel and Customer Service Analyst. My objective is customer service and problem resolution. My stay here was strictly based on reviewing customer service, relationship building and how issues are resolved. I was willing to over look the first night as the 2nd night in the 2nd room was great despite the early morning construction outside my door, but 10% of the first night? My time, my money, my sleep is valued at more than 10%. Anyway, we will not be starting another night here, it's not worth 10% off, we are booking elsewhere for the day. Now for those of you who are big on noise. The walls are very thin, they are currently renovating (see attached photo) and the machines and scraping of tools are loud and sound like nails on a chalkboard. The construction crew communicate by means of shouting across the parkinglot to each other. The tub in #139 is extremely slick, we had to lay a towel on the bottom of the floor of the tub to keep from slipping. I needed a quick place to stay when I learned that my apartment was uninhabitable on 12/29. I called Ramada and they were able to immediately accommodate me and I stayed from 12/29 - 12/31. PROS - Affordable. The Ramada Torrance was one of the lower-priced hotels in Los Angeles at the time. I am satisfied with the price I paid for a budget hotel that was safe and clean. - Pet-Friendly. I had my cat with me, and because my apartment was uninhabitable, I had to bring her along. The Ramada was able to accommodate her for a fee of $30 per night, which I thought was reasonable. - Amenities. The Ramada had everything I needed and wanted at the time, including free, reliable wi-fi, a mini-fridge, and a TV with many channels. They also had a fitness room, coin-operated laundry, pool and hot tub, and free breakfast, although I did not use any of those myself. - Cleanliness. I see that some people have had issues with cleanliness at this hotel; it was not a problem for me at all. Everything looked clean and there were no bugs. I even forgot to wear shoes at one point on the hard floor and my feet came away without any markings. I would still recommend wearing slippers/shoes in the room since it's a good habit, but even when I forgot to wear them once I had no problems with marks on my feet as other people have had. - Safety. It's not the best area, but not the worst either. I felt safe walking around during the day and I felt safe in my hotel room at night aside from the window covering issue described in Cons. CONS - Uncomfortable bed. This is the most uncomfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. I woke up multiple times in the night and started each morning in pain from the bed's hard surface. I would described it as sleeping on a slab of marble with a thin padding on top. - Off-brand furnishings. I'm not someone who needs furniture to be name brand or anything...however, it seemed like the furniture in the hotel was a hodgepodge of different origins and didn't match very well. I didn't really care except for the TV, which was a brand called Hanspree. The TV did not offer any program information or channel guide and the channels were weirdly numbered (for example, NBC was channel 47-2, BBC was 55-18, and HGTV was 66-41.) I had to spend 30 minutes going through the channels to create a channel guide, which I'll include below for others. I would recommend that the hotel provide a printed channel guide to help guests operate their TV more efficiently. Overall, the Ramada Torrance fit well for what I needed during an emergency weekend stay. It isn't the most luxurious hotel, but it is safe and clean and that is all I really need at its price point. 1 king size bed and only 2 small,pillows for 2 adults? Due to covid? I stayed at Torrance inn and suites across the street the last 2 nights we had 5 pillows, endless towels, change of sheets. It was dirtier but more expensive. Outside currently 10pm there's a truck bbqing in the parking lot, girls that are either drunk or high walling around like prostitutes. The front door has about an inch gap in it going outside. The guy "Miguel" at the front had zero customer service skills My opinion is we can't get pillows cuz it's 10pm and he's probably the only one here. Good job Ramada. Stayed here one night after a conference back in November 2019. It was along pacific coast highway which offered many options for eating and shopping. The room was spacious and had "hardwood" floors. The entire hotel is very worn but it was clean and comfortable inside. They offered a standard breakfast. Parking was easy and convenient to rooms. For one its a Motel and not a hotel in my opinion. I booked it on booking..com due to the pics I saw and the reviews. I later came in yelp amd saw some terrible reviews. The reviews here made me want to cancel my reservation but I waited too long. Would have been charged for one of the two nights I booked. I told my GF. Actaully more like warned her and apologized lol. She said hey what's the worse that can happen. Which I figured that's what she would sat anyway. 1) We arrived after 8 P.M. to check in and the guy at the front was very nice and informative. The parking lot had a lot of spots open at this time. I was a bit worried about the room ill admit. 2) we walked in the room amd it was completely clean and looked just like a room in any regular hotel. We had a king room. The mattress wasn't the softness but it was still great. Everything from bed linen to the shower was clean. I searched the room to make sure I saw no signs of bed bugs (always do no matter what hotel or motel we stay at.) None found. 3) we left the room and came back around 2 A.M. parking was bad. There were only about 3 spots open and not too close to our room. But it still was as bad as people make it seem. Only saw a few people hanging outside maybe 4 if that and they weren't any shady looking folks. They were guess at the hotel also. Either by their car smoking or just hanging right outside their room. 4) The room was quiet all night ans I didnt hear a sound. The only thing that bothered me was the cleaning staff started around9 A.M. there was no do not disturb sign provided. So they kept knocking and I had to get up and tell them to come back later. Once we left we asked them to clean the room and replace the sheets and we asked for thicker blankets. They did all we asked for when we got back later that afternoon. We went out both days for our own breakfast so I can't speak on that. Overall my experience was quite decent and if needed if stay there again. Oh and as for the 50 dollar security hold I saw someone complain about....um almost all hotels do that. After your stay they give you the money back. They do this so if you steal their property or damage stuff they can take that money and use it towards repairs/replacements!!! read more
