The atmosphere alone is worth a visit. The drinks are definitely crafted with care and have a lot of complexity, but with only two bartenders working, it took quite a while to get ours. Not the place to go if you want quick service or are grabbing a drink before another event. My biggest downside is the price point--most cocktails are around $17. They're good, but at that price I can really only justify having one. Note: They do not have food, just snacks like peanuts. Overall, amazing ambiance and well-made drinks, just expect slower service and a higher bill.

Very impressed by their craftsmanship and experimental flavors. There's not many places in this area that even attempt to do that. I love the speakeasy vibe. Super cool entrance and fun comfortable lounge upstairs. It's a fantastic place to go as an intimate group. But it's kind of small to take a group of more than 4 friends. Cocktails were made surprisingly quick even on a busy night. Everything is just really great about this place. Except for maybe the price lol but at least you're getting what you pay for in a good way

There's tons of drink options so there is definitely something for everyone and the staff there are very friendly. I love that this place also has another big room apart from the bar with lots of game options like darts, pool, cornhole, etc. I've been to Disobedient Spirits a few times now and it's usually empty every time so you pretty much get the whole place to yourself. I definitely recommend checking this spot out if you are in the area!

She replied with bad attitude, short answers to questions, and no friendliness whatsoever. She kept playing on her cell phone rather than helping us (owner check the cameras). I had to advise her, "You seem to not give a sh#t if you do or don't sell anything (liquor) here." I come here from out of state and this was the second time I've had this experience with her. The first time was in July-2020 with my son. He and I both left without spending one dime and my son swore he'd never return. I, however, tried again with my wife the afternoon of Friday November 13, 2020, and we both had the same experience with the manager. This time, I spent $300+ (receipt attached) but swore I'd forewarn all other YELPers considering a visit. I concluded this employee-manager MUST have a 'connection' to the owner, as NO right-minded business person would keep her around otherwise.

The inside is basically a poorly lit bar with a few tables. The outside, however, is a different story. They have a very nice patio area, which is where I chose to sit this evening. I was surprised that the restaurant was mostly empty on a Friday night at 6:00. The waitress informed me that things don't get hopping here until after 9:00, when they have live music or a DJ. Again, this is mostly a bar. Onto the food. I had their messed up taters and their caprese BLT. Let's do the bad first. The BLT was a poor attempt. It was mostly lettuce with some sort of balsamic sauce. I could swear I also tasted mustard for some reason. Very little bacon. I think there was supposed to be mozzarella on the sandwich but I couldn't find any. Two stars. I would stay away from that one. Now for the positive - the loaded taters were absolutely delicious. Lots of cheese, both cheese sauce and shredded. Plus a nice helping of bacon. Can't believe I ate the whole thing myself. Here's why I'm giving this 4 stars - the whole meal cost around $15. You can barely get a fast food meal for $15 and this was way better. My Blue Moon drafts were only $5. I will come here again on a nice summer evening, enjoy their patio, get the taters and try something different for my meal.

I've spent a bunch of time in the area in the other seasons but seeing it spring was new for me. So was lunch at Firewater. I enjoyed both. As you might think from the name, Firewater is all about the drinks. Not only do they look beautiful but they punch above their weight in a tourist mecca. My Baby Got Daq was so much better than one would imagine for a cocktail on tap. Served in a coupe, this traditional daiquiri was made with anjeo rum, which gave it a gorgeous brown color. The simple (traditional with a twist -- pineapple!) recipe (lime and sugar) allowed all the ingredients to sing and you would be hard-pressed to tell that it came from a tap, rather than a bartender's careful hand. Drink in hand, the food menu acquitted itself just as nicely. My large (Southern) party made short work of the deviled egg appetizer. Likewise, my brisket sandwich (on gluten-free bread and served with a side of grits) was filling, smoky (with a crunchy bark) and deeply-flavorful.My group took advantage of the nice weather and are outside, enjoying the lovely water views and pleasant service. With a population the size of a New England liberal arts college, odds are if you're patronizing Firewater you're not a local. That's fine. Tourist cities need tourist dollars. Spend yours here. While in Deep Creek, this will become a trusted lunch destination. I'm just surprised I 'discovered' it so late after multiple trips.

While the hostess initially quoted a two-hour wait and came across a bit cold, things improved quickly. As we settled in with some truly delicious cocktails--a smoked old fashioned and a playful Plum-P Up the Jam--we ended up being seated in just about 20 minutes. Once at our table, the experience really shined. Our waitress was wonderful: warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly. The food was excellent and beautifully prepared. I enjoyed the steak frites, cooked perfectly, while my wife had the scallops, which were rich, tender, and full of flavor. Despite the rocky start, the evening turned into a fantastic birthday dinner in a stunning part of Maryland. Firewater Kitchen & Bar delivered a memorable meal, and we were glad we chose it for the celebration.

Bill (bar tend) has been at the Village for over 35 years, and he'll pour you up something delicious, and also be able to recite the day's latest sports scores. The dinning room is very comfortable and they also have window tables (our favorites) where you can look over-top street level. The room has a feel of a country inn and it's not loud (like many today) even with a full house. The food is absolutely delicious! Maybe the best pizza anywhere, and pasta dishes with flavor we just can't find in other places. They also offer a salad bar with dinners (or as a meal) that has a nice selection of greens, olives, beets, peppers, cheese and great, great salad dressings. The prices are very reasonable and the service is always friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a noisy, (TVs and music blasting) type of outing, skip the Village. However, for those of us who dine out to relax and enjoy the company we're with, have some delicious food and drink, you must try The Village soon!
