So even if you call them for drywall, they can also do lots of other stuff - carpentry, paint, misc handyman, waterproofing, framing repairs, concrete, you name it.) Perhaps the thing that I like the most is how quickly they can accommodate and scale. While they were working on some cabinetry, I mentioned to their lead the flooring needed some fixes. Boom - their flooring guy is there the next day fixing the bad floor planks at the same hourly rate. They seem to have a large roster of motivated workers that show up on time and do the job to spec. I've had trouble with crews not showing or not finishing the job over the years - but not with Amador's. I was told long ago by family to never hire contractors on an hourly basis because costs can spiral. And before I knew what I was doing as a homeowner I might've been inclined to follow this advice. But Amador's charges a reasonable rate and works with efficiency - so this is how I work with them. I even trust them to let other workers into the house and report on their work. A lot of this comes down to whoever your point of contact is. On the most recent job, that's been Leo, and he is exceptional: attentive to detail, diligent, organized. Hired to replace and repair siding so we could prime and paint. Also installed a new sliding door…read more Dennys was very professional, on time, knowledgeable, and had a fair price. The team did a good job, but we did notice some of the patch jobs falling apart or allowing bubbles to form after we painted. Considering how bad the siding was in places, I'm not shocked but it would have been nice if they had pulled us aside to replace the boards that weren't serviceable instead of patching. Despite everything, would recommend working with Longshore.
