Happy Daze, you think, okay, not a corporation, what could go wrong…read more Happy Daze train your sellers on how to solution sell. I mean... i left and all i could think was... what did I experience. It starts with me telling our sales guy that we do not appreciate pushy sales guys. 10 minutes later he is showing us a used trailer with failed clear coat, a dirty shower, and cabinetry falling off the wall. We kindly decline, and he proceeds to ask us what number it would take to make a deal. Buddy-- it's not a number, this trailer needs help. Okay fine, so we look at a couple new ones out of our price range. Finally, he has one online that is within our price range and is pushing us to go see numbers. This is where, as someone in sales (though solution oriented) I now know this is a team trained on Andy Elliot instagram clips. "How soon can you get this person to get pre approved so they feel committed" Okay fine, let's talk numbers so that when I do get serious, and take my business elsewhere, I know what kinda of approval I can get. This is where we reiterate that we are still just looking and a decision won't be made today, but miraculously we're asked how we'd like to proceed with a downpayment (card versus cash) don't worry, we won't be. Our seller disappears for 30 minutes, this is where it gets good. Okay we're leaving, but wait now suddenly he has numbers. Except there's a catch. "I'm sorry but the trailer we ran numbers on got sold, but what I could do is collect a $1,000 deposit incase that deal falls though, you're next in line to get it" I'm thinking... did this person, as a man, just ask me to give him $1,000 for a sold trailer. Are you out your mind Get a grip mate. Advice to management: Discovery goes a long way, listen to your buyers. Here I'll even give you some templates: - How long have you been shopping for a trailer? - What type of trailer are you looking for? - Is it important for it to have central AC? - is solar important? - do you need one with bunk beds or no? - what would be your ideal floor plan? - how often do you go camping? You have 5 bored salesman sitting around with their feet up on their desks bantering. Clean up the act and brush away the commission breath. You're asking people for a lot of money, act like it. Hope this helps future buyers!!

I bought a 1987 vintage luxury RV to live in and brought it to Bay Area RV to do a bumper to bumper…read morethorough inspection. The RV had to be ready to take me to San Diego where I will start my new job. As the inspection continued the number of mandatory safety and repair issues increased exponentially. I can honestly say they saved my life and probably the lives of everyone else on the road with me. This is no exaggeration. I am driving a 33000 pound vehicle. When you step on the brakes you need the vehicle to come to a complete stop safely. You want the lights to work, the electrical to work, the plumbing to work and the propane not to leak. Bay Area RV found and fixed so many crucial items that I would never have known about if it wasn't for them. Even though my total repair bill was significantly higher than I could ever have anticipated, I now have a safe , fully operational and beautiful RV that will last me for many years to come. I can't list all the details because they would be too numerous, but the number of times they have cut cost, discounted labor, and went above and beyond to work with their vendors and mine to get me the best possible price for the mandatory parts I needed is more than I think anyone else would have ever done for me. Even after I am down in San Diego I am going to drive that RV right back up here for any major work that needs to be done because I know it will be done right and with honor and with integrity. I can honestly say that they put me ahead of their own profits. My final bill was high but that is not their fault and it could have been much much worse if I had taken it to someone else. I don't want to exclude anyone on their amazing team but I do want to give a shout out to Alison and Alberto. You have made a friend and customer for life.

I brought my Winnebago Solis to Leales in June 2025 in prep for a long trip to Alaska starting in…read morelate July. It had been a very busy year and I still had many demands on my time that were not related to the trip, and I was stressed. I asked them to do routine engine maintenance and to find out why the dashboard AC had stopped working. They did as I asked and found and fixed the problem with the AC right away. I wanted new tires plus a spare for the trip. Savio referred me to Ramon's and they did a wonderful job with the tires, including locating a rim for the spare. The Solis has no space for a spare. I ordered a mounted from Landed Gear and had it shipped to Leales and Leales followed the instructions for the installation so that the spare stayed put even when we drove the famously rough Alcan Highway there and back. The road is built on permafrost and its reputation has not been exaggerated - we encountered one car with two flat tires - but with good tires and slow driving, we never needed our spare. We also did not experience the problems I've read people have with other brands or improperly installed back door mounted spare tire racks: broken window or warping of the metal doors.

AVOID LEALE'S RV -- Misleading, Frustrating, and Unprofessional…read more I had a really frustrating experience with Leale's RV, particularly with Michael in their service department. I brought in my 2024 Thor motorhome for a battery-related issue. Michael incorrectly told me that my coach does not support Group 31 AGM batteries and insisted I would need to spend nearly $2,000 to upgrade to lithium. He was adamant, repeatedly citing his past experience working at Thor (from years ago) as the basis for his claims--even though the coach came from the factory with Group 31s. He had a condescending attitude and loves to talk on the phone explaining how experienced he was. Meanwhile, he keeps sending me photos of their posted $239/hr labor rate as if that justified the misdiagnosis or poor service, rather than addressing the actual issue. It felt like a deflection rather than a solution. Thankfully, Savio his manager was able to step in, confirm the unit was indeed compatible with Group 31 batteries, and help me get the right battery installed immediately. I bought the battery myself and dropped it off for a quick, proper install--something that should've happened from the beginning. Although I'm having to pay for the diagnostics even though they have the authorization from the manufacturer to cover the diagnostics! To make matters worse, I was told they wouldn't cash the reimbursement check from the manufacturer (Thor), but they cashed it anyway, leaving me out $700 and damaging my relationship with Thor. I had to chase down Thor myself for clarification and deal with the fallout. Despite talking to them on June 26 and then explaining that they closed the case and zero checks would be cashed. July 16 and Thor confirms the check was indeed cashed. This whole experience left me feeling deceived, ignored, and frustrated. Between the incorrect technical advice, the lack of accountability, and the poor communication, I cannot recommend Leale's RV to anyone looking for honest, competent service. I'm just glad that I did not pay for them to upgrade my batteries at $1,800 because the coach already supports lithium batteries.
