I first called RV Solar Guys to come out to the San Mateo Coast to do some maintenance on our 2018 Leisure Travel Unity motorhome. I also asked them to provide a quote for lithium battery, solar panel, inverter, solar controller, DC to DC, converter upgrade, plus roof reseal, soft start for roof air and 2 MaxxAir II vent install. Their quote was for 315Ah of EpochLithium battery power, Xantrex 3Kw inverter, Renogy Shadowflux 740W of solar, Victron solar controller, DC to DC converter and other equipment above. They kept the original storage space, and the total cost was fair. A few weeks later they came back to our home and did everything in one long day. They taught me how to use the equipment and associated apps. A week later we did a three night dry camping trip that had fog and sun. We were able to use all of our electrical appliances and devices all day without worry (air conditioner not used). The lowest the battery level got down to was 59% overnight, and the solar panels recharged them in a few hours. RV Solar Guys designed a solar electric power system that does exactly as I requested. My wife is happy that we don't need to use the noisy generator anymore, unless we needed extended roof air use. We are very happy with the knowledgeable, thorough design and service provided. The trick to having your RV/Motorhome/Camper/Toy Hauler/Van/Trailer etc. last a good long time is upkeep. I was at the point I needed a new roof on my Toy Hauler and wanted it done right. Enter RV Solar Guys. They came out and gave me an estimate and the price was right so I had them do the Toy Hauler's roof. While the old roof was pretty worn it wasn't yet totally shot so this was a chance to get ahead of major repairs or quite possibly having to total out the toy hauler if it leaked bad enough. The guys showed up on time and did a fantastic job renewing the roof the right way. They sealed up around things and left the roof ready for another 10 years. While they were at it I had them do some minor work on a bumper pull RV that I am fixing up after it being a total loss due to leaks in the roof. I am making good progress myself but I wanted a professional to seal up the front and rear caps to make sure it was done right so my work doesn't go to waste. I am also having them replace the vent lids on my Toy Hauler and the RV while I am at it. Their work is impeccable and their rates are right where they should be. The risk of putting off the work is not worth it, so you can rest assured get a great job done by RV Solar Guys in upkeeping your RV. They do it all, including Solar Installs, appliance change outs, major repairs, minor repairs, and all kinds of things. They can even replace brakes etc on your trailer if needed. My 16 foot Casita trailer had been stored and unused for about a year, I needed some help (on relatively short notice-2weeks) to get it ready for a trip to Texas. I solicited a few businesses in the bay area for an estimate, and Ben at RV Solar Guys was the quickest to respond, visit to assess my needs, and provide a detailed estimate broken down by labor and parts. He was able to schedule me within a couple days; and completed everything in one day. I had a new lithium battery for my solar panels, and he was able to install a compatible converter, shunt, DC/DC charger, as well as replacing a water pump, brake controller for the trailer, a new electronic tongue jack, he serviced all systems including all appliances, he rewired my battery to the converter, replaced AC filters, 20 amp circuit breakers, propane tank level gauges and showed me how everything works.
