I went in to purchase two pillows and was very fortunate to work with Maria Ruiz who was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the process so easy. She asked good questions and also explained what probably happened to my existing pillow which was over 7 years old. I ended up choosing two firm Tempur-Pedic pillows, and they are absolutely wonderful. After struggling with my old pillow that kept collapsing in the middle, I went home, tried my new Tempur-Pedic pillow, and enjoyed the best nap I've had in ages! My neck and head felt evenly supported and very comfortable. Maria also shared the inspiring story of the company's founder and famiy when I asked. I learned how over more than 55 years, Mancini's Sleepworld has grown throughout much of Northern and Central California. It made me appreciate even more the care and quality they put into their business. Next time we need a mattress, I'll feel completely confident buying it from one of their stores--and I'll definitely explore their selection of sheets and other bedding, too. I love their tagline, "Sleep Better, Live Better" - couldn't agree more! Highly recommended!

I was connected almost immediately when it had anything to do with a potential sale. The moment I called to address a concern, crickets. This tells you everything you need to know about where their priorities actually lie, and it also makes me genuinely question how authentic their current reviews are. Here's what happened. I visited their Sand City, California location on July 9, 2026. No greeting when I walked in. After browsing independently for nearly 10 minutes, you know, the thing you're supposed to do in a mattress store, I reclined on a display mattress and was abruptly told by an associate "hey, you can't be on there ". No explanation. No apology. When I asked for clarification, I got "just not that one". And when I followed up, he turned to me an elevated and aggressive tone and asked, "are you OK?" A question that had nothing to do with customer service and everything to do with intimidation. I exited the store shocked by what had just happened but returned 2 minutes later to demand to speak with Director or above. I ended up texting the store manager the same day. Read receipt confirmed. Did not address the issue as I asked. I also sent a formal written complaint on the same day to corporate customer service. No response. I followed up again on July 17 to emails directly from their website. No response. I called corporate on July 31 and was connected immediately, because again, it rang like a sales call. I was provided a new email contact and told someone would reach out. That was weeks ago. Still nothing. So here we are. If Yelp allowed it, this would be a a -5 star. I'm not easily rattled, and I don't write reviews out of emotion. I write them after I've done everything right and been ignored at every turn. This company had multiple opportunities to acknowledge a legitimate concern and chose silence every single time. That's not an oversight. That's a choice. Shop elsewhere. When I shared my experience with a friend I was told of a similar experience she had at that location. I am not writing about it because I myself was not witness to this however encourage anyone and everyone who has had a bad experience to post it on Yelp as customers should be aware of what occurs there and maybe then management will take customer concerns seriously and conduct their own internal investigation of these matters.

BUYERS BEWARE. I purchased a couch from Ramos Furniture in Salinas and the driver damaged my house, DENTED MY REFRIGERATOR, MY WALLS, BROKE MY DOOR IT WILL NOT CLOSE PROPERLY, BROKE SOME OF MY NIK NAKS AND LEFT THE COUCH THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DISPOSED OF IN MY DRIVEWAY. It has been one month since this happened and they have not reimbursed me for any damages and they told me the driver is a independent contractor and he is responsible. The driver is not going to pay for the damages as he has told me that Ramos is responsible. Needless to say this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced with a company. The manager and transportation manager have been giving the run around for weeks! next step is small claims. So sad that it has to come to this. read more

The Sleep Number company is a scam and their products and services are absolute garbage. I bought…read morea Sleep Number bed for my 85 mother who was moving into a senior living facility. When the technicians dropped of the bed, they noted that the pump wasn't working and an air bladder wasn't working. They didn't have any extra parts to fix the bed that day. I called the Sleep Number customer rep and said that my mother needed a bed to sleep that evening and asked him if the technicians could come back and fix the bed, and he said "that's not going to happen." It would be two weeks before they could come back. At that point I went down to Mancini Sleep world and bought a mattress and platform so my mother had a bed to sleep on. I took the Sleep Number bed to my garage and called Sleep Number to come and pick up the bed. They keep on saying that would deliver the new parts in a couple weeks despite the fact that I told them that I didn't want the bed and that it was in my garage. They finally agreed to pick up only the mattress, but that they had no obligation to pick up the platform. Apparently, under their terms and conditions, you can only return the mattress because in their opinion, you can use the platform on any other mattress. The platform cost $1,500. Plus, they charged me $250 to pick up the mattress. In essence, Sleep Number doesn't back up their products, they don't give you a full refund for your product and they charge you $250 to pick up their defective products. Basically, their beds are expensive air mattresses. I would advise all people who are considering buying a Sleep Number bed to avoid the company.

The bed loses the number (as in THE sleep number setting) by morning. I had service technicians to the house more than once. They claimed nothing was wrong but one of them says that periodically, he needs to unplug and re-plug his own sleep number bed and set it to 100. He left me wondering if burning incense and rattling chicken bones would be the next "fix-it yourself" recommendation I'd get. Today, I wearily dropping into the Monterey store to be told that when I am in my bed watching tv or reading to adjust the settings to 'private' so the bed wouldn't give a false reading. Why do I have to service the bed instead of expecting the bed to give me good service?? Save your money. This lemon is too expensive at any cost. I could go on an on - but I didn't sleep well last night AGAIN.
