One of the worst places of customer service I ever have ever experienced. As of 5-10-26 the door and the online website says the store is open at 10-am to 8 pm, went today around 6:40 and the doors were closed and there was a sign that says "on break be back in 10" with the store "open sign" being on and saying "were open" , waited till 7:10 and nobody came. We first went to went to the South Salinas location scouting out the bed scene. The salesman just seemed uninterested in selling anything. One word answers to most questions...and goodbye. Drove straight over to the North main store. A much better reception and conversation...one bed sold. We set up a pickup time and we call the salesman the day of and yes it's there. Sweet. We drive across town only to see that the bed frame was not the right size. So here's my rub, who's checking invoices. Neither the truck driver or the receiving clerk or the salesman that told us our bed arrived did. No one did. I've got to say we were comped $21 bucks which was fair for the wasted trip, but to check a few numbers against a box isn't hard. Last words...invoices are printed for more than one reason. read more

We had to buy a mattress remotely (from New York) for a relative in the Monterey Bay Area, and the staff at this store was outstanding. It really helped that we were already in the system with a New York purchase. We had a last minute glitch, and had to change the delivery location (from Salinas to Monterey!) and they were supportive and helpful. Mattress arrived at new location, on time, and all is well. When I entered the Mattress Firm store on Main Street in Salinas, I was immediately greeted by Steven. He was in the process of assisting another customer. However, he was able to accommodate both of us simultaneously. Once the other customer departed, I had Steven's undivided attention. I explain to him exactly what I was looking for. He showed me around the store and had me try different comfort levels. He explained the way that different mattresses, offered different types of support. He also explained how they were structurally designed. I was quite impressed with his knowledge, professionalism and friendliness. The sales experience was absolutely painless, I did not feel pressured, I felt informed and confident that I was led in the right direction. After much time and deliberation, I Purchased a mattress and adjustable foundation. Today, June 1 our new bed arrived. It was delivered in a timely manner and the two gentlemen that delivered it could not have been any more professional or efficient. I went into the business last Saturday I purchased a mattress and was told it would be bagged that night and prepared for shipment the following Friday. I went back on Sunday with another customer who recently made a purchase and noticed the mattress, box spring and frame was still on display. I inquired about this and the manager stated "well I guess Christina dropped the ball on that one" I was irate and felt my time and service wasn't valued as it should've been. After you make a purchase at this location you're basically dead weight to the employees. Dropping the ball to me is failing at doing something you're tasked to do. And if you don't follow through on your tasks then you are an incompetent employee. So far mattress firm N. Main Salinas has displayed nothing but incompetence by the smirky manager who threw Christianity and his family matters at me as a reason to leave at closing time and the associate for not doing what she promised to do. read more

Great service and quality of inventory. They have a wide selection of everything you may be looking for. Everything is priced mid range, they average same as other stores but during their sales, as when I went I got a good deal. I bought a King Size bed that I had seen online, I compared it to other places and it averaged the same price. I got 200 free of products with my purchase. I was able to get it home in 2 days delivered at my home and set up in my room for free. Paid 11 bucks for them to take my old one out. My mattress was in top condition. Sealy knighton hybrid!! We had a great experience purchasing the purple mattress this past Sunday from Steven. We went to the alameda county fair on Saturday where were able to lay down on the purple three mattress. After thinking about it long and hard we decided to wait and visit our local store in salinas. As we stepped in the door we were immediately greeted by Steven. He helped us with the questions we had about the sale that was going on for Father's Day. We were in the store for about an hour before deciding that Steven had answered all of our questions and we know what we wanted to do. We went through with the purchase of a purple 3 mattress, an adjustable base, sheets, pillows and of course the mattress protector. My wife and were very impressed by the customer service we received when we visited the Mattress Firm store in Salinas yesterday. The salesman was with another customer when we entered the store, but he greeted us and told us that he would help us as soon as he finished with the current customer. We learned that his name is Isaul. He answered all of our many questions. We had been shopping around for a while, both online and in person, and Mattress Firm had the best prices for the type of mattress we were looking for. There was a special promotion going on, and we ended up buying three mattresses for two houses. Isaul set up delivery, and wrote up both orders. While he was entering our orders into the computer, he received a phone call from a customer with a question. We were impressed by the way he handled the phone call--promising to return the call as soon as he finished helping us. One of the bed frames that we wanted was not in stock, and Isaul made the extra effort to substitute another, more expensive frame, for the same price. Shopped at this location during the 4th of July holiday. The salesmen were friendly enough for having to work on a holiday. We were looking for a twin bed for my disabled mother. A few models suggested promotional pricing but still a bit high in my opinion. Salesman worked with me to negotiate a better price which is why I give this store at least one star. The delivery date was set and we were on our way. The bed was delivered as promised but my mom reported that the bed came with no frame. Upon calling back to the store, the salesman informed me that frames were extra. Not once did the original salesman mention this little detail nor do I remember having to purchase a frame seperately when buying a new mattress and box spring. I got an apology and a quote of $49 for their basic frame. As the tagline states, "Eeks! Methinks not." What would have made me happy? Throw in the frame or a discounted offer. They are called Mattress Discounters after all. read more

She talked to us to find out about our likes and dislikes and recommended a few mattresses that would fit our needs. Well I spent 4 hours in the store looking for the perfect bed. I finally found the cal king I wanted. At first the delivery date was going to be a few days then the manager told us it'll be a week and a half he took off $80 I said that was fine. I called a the store a few days before my bed was supposed to be delivered I was told I'd get a call the night before to schedule a delivery time, I didn't get a call. I called the store as soon as they opened just to be told they would call me in 2 hours I wasn't having it so I got the warehouse number called them just to be told I wasn't on the schedule. I was furious. The nice gentleman who worked at the warehouse told me Mattress Firm knew my bed set wasn't in stock because the warehouse notified them the day before. I went back to the store because I was told they would upgrade my adjustable bed frame and mattress but I preferred the mattress I first picked. So I'm excited that my new bed would be coming soon. Then more bad news came my way...I was told it would take another 2 weeks. I said no thank you. I went straight to Mancini's Sleep World found a better bed and a better adjustable bed frame at a cheaper price and omg it's in stock and I'll be getting it tomorrow. I will never step foot into this business. It's a shame they give customers the run around and expect them to wait a whole month for a bed. read more
