Wow! Having to be towed is never something one looks forward to. After my engine just decided to die on the freeway I reached out to AAA to be towed (engine light on & Hybrid engine malfunction -Stop - Do Not Drive...as if I had an option). AAA reached out to Ramos Towing who called me back in less than 5 minutes. Fortunately, Joe was nearby in the area. (nothing like being stuck on the So Cal freeway shoulder at the mercy of shoulder drivers in 100 degree heat). Joe called, got clarification on my exact location (which was super helpful as the AAA automated system was having challenges translating what I was telling it) and let me know where he was so he could properly gauge his ETA Joe arrived on time, assisted me out of my vehicle to keep me safe from traffic whizzing by. His truck was immaculate. Joe was extremely professional, considerate, and quite affable. Hoping i never need to be towed again... but if I do, would definitely be reaching out to Ramos Towing. This place was recommended by triple A when I was stranded on the 60 fwy Noth down right before the 60 fwy interchange. I had the unfortunate luck of getting a flat tire on a heavy rainy day. This place Ramos towing was assigned to me my by insurance. Well, needless to say , it is a very memorable journey but in the worst way possible. They sent me a text message that it would take 40 minutes at least, ok, fine, it's raining and they are busy. When I saw the Ramos truck coming up, he just drove right by me and did not even stop. I emediatly called their office and some lady by the name of Candise,when I explained what had happened, she was quick to say that the drive stopped and that I declined service. This was all false, and as I was telling her that I was going to report this to triple A she did not even let me finish my conversation when she just hung up the phone. After 2 and a half hours in the rain, finally chp and Coltranes truck that is state funded and free to motorists in distress stopped and held me. Just FYI all you need to do is dial 511 from your phone and you will get connected to help. Worse experience ever with RAMOS TOWING! Will never recommend this location to anyone. Tuesday, Sept 3, 2019, events: 8:30a: req tow from home to auto repair facility 8:35a: received text that a tech was dispatched. ETA:10:20a 10:30a: checked phone, tech showed arrived at my location/then service request was canceled. I immediately called AAA. They said the tech canceled the call and said he couldn't find the location. No call to verify, nothing. Luckily I wasn't waiting on a freeway. Requested tow again. 11:30a: tech dispatched. ETA in 40 mins per AAA. Received AAA text. New ETA: 12:40p Tech tracker map updates with 12:55 ETA, but now the driver shows as "ARRIVED", but his location is on Crenshaw and Arbor Vitae (5 mins away from my house). Then the driver takes a cruise around the neighborhood. Drives away from the direction of my home and is gone for about 20-25 mins before he arrive at the security gate. I don't know if it's a matter of not understanding his GPS, if he had other errands to run before the call or what? But a call for service from 8:30a to 1:30p is unsatisfactory. Your driver needs closer supervision, training on how to read the GPS, and Ramos needs a dispatch center to contact either AAA or the customer if there's a problem with location. The previous evening we towed the car home using Falcon Tow from Gardena. Their dispatcher called me immediately to verify my exact location and the driver arrived ahead of time. Put this service out of order !! I've been stuck on the side of the road for the past 6 hours waiting for my tow. They never showed up, they said they "called me" and I didn't answer but I have no missed calls!!! So They cancelled my tow and did not send me any type of notification , after hours of waiting I decided to call back myself to confirm the status of my tow, and the guy laughed he said oh "we're not going" , I asked for his name and he laughed and said "julieta" (Juliet) and they hung up on me. Terrible service from these company i feel like they are rude and inconsiderate. On the day i had my car accident my car bumper and wiring were still on and my alignment was still pretty straight. I usually ask for flat bed to avoid any towing issues because my car is lowered. The driver gets there and i seen him pull up with a tow truck that only carries the front wheels. I asked him "would i be able to get a flat bed cause my car is lowered" he says " it should be fine lets check" we check and he says "we should be fine im just lifting from the front" after that i waited to get home because i had no ride and had my gf with me. I get home and my car was more damaged than it was before my side skirt was damaged and my bottom bumper was pulled out along with my fog light wiring and my oil pan when the fell of the truck a bit. I had sent pictures to them and i also have video and more pictures of the damage they caused. Ive been trying to deal with them as soon as i got into my accident and just barely got told that they deny damages and i have to call AAA. I was pretty upset and i still am because i need to get my car fixed and i have no transportation for myself which sucks because i have a child & job and this needs to be made right! read more

This review is for Advanced towing which shares the lot with Ramos towing. They are horrible people Went to pick up my car at midnight after they towed it. The two guys there were A holes from the start. After giving them my drivers license they made me walk to my car, through a dirt lot. in the dark by myself with the two of them and would not let my fiance come with me to get the registration. After paying him $480 cash, he drove my car up, parked it and left my lights on. While waiting forever for a receipt we asked if they could turn the lights off so my battery wouldn't die.. The prick starts yelling that if we touch the fence he was gonna call the cops and he wouldn't give me my car until I get my receipt. Told him never mind about the receipt, I just wanted my car, he said too bad I'm not giving you your car and I'm writing the receipt. After I threatened to call the cops he finally came out with my receipt and gave me my car. This place only operates to rip people off. Having your car towed sucks but if the people who own the car aren't being rude, why be such A holes. Karma is a bitch and how you treat people will come back to you. If you're truly in need of a tow, do not use them. read more

SCAMMERS, RATEROS! I don't understand how this company can get away with scamming, my husband's car broke down at a gas station, we had permission from the manager to leave the car parked until our towing guy was available, this company showed up and took the car and claimed they had signatures from the property manager, but the manager and owners had NO knowledge of them! We are guessing they lied to the police when they reported they had permission, (getting legal advice for better understanding of this whole situation). They were trying to get more than $500 Cash !obviously! to give us the car back, the nerve this people have to scam you is unbelievable, we are thankful the managers and owners of the gas station helped us out, they were also very outraged, the owners of the gas station had to get involved and only then they gave us the car back, just like that! no money was needed anymore or any other paperwork, from having "all the signed papers" to just giving us the car with no hesitation! I have video of everything, all interactions with them, specially the ones where they confirm having the "signed papers" SMH, I plan on uploading a video on social media for awareness but I won't do so until after legal advice since we believe something needs to get done. read more

Ramos towing BROKE OUR FENCE while they were servicing some guy who got his Honda stuck in the ditch behind our house. The driver drove off leaving his lug nut covers on our property next to the damage he caused. We have video and pictures. They have not addressed this issue. Requested fuel from AAA at 742am today. It's 944a and they never came. Called and they lied and said they came and that noone was outside and that they called. My phone has no calls. My home has front cameras and shows no one came to the house. Dispatched stated she'd send it again...asked how I'd like them to reach me, I said via text since the phone option was a problem. AAA CHAT stated arriving at 1040am. No one came...it's 1050am and no text, no call no one is here. Called again a mf 3rd time, and she said they'd be here in 10 mins. They did not come till around 11:20am. FOUR MF HOURS LATER FOUR HOUR WAIT I DONT CARE IF IT WAS DISPATCH, AAA OR RAMOS TOWING...IM REPORTING EVERYBODY FOR HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I believe his name was trey, he was WONDERFUL! super friendly, had a lowered car towed which last time I needed a tow had to call 3 different companies until someone finally got it in the truck AFTER scratching the bumper. He got there and did it first try no scratches no problems then sat in Friday night traffic to bring it to my house. So nice always had a positive attitude didn't feel rushed. Needed a tow, hit up AAA. My app said it was going to take an hour for the tow truck to get to me. Surprisingly a couple minutes later the status updated and Ramos Towing staff would be there in 4 minutes. 4 minutes later a friendly tow truck dude asked me if I was ok and started hooking up my car to his truck. About 3-5 minutes later my car was secured on their truck and my ride still was not there so the tow truck dude said he would wait for my ride to get there. When my ride showed up we took off and we met up at my mechanic and he got my car inside the lot safely. He was very friendly, amazingly efficient, and this was the best towing experience I ever had. I didnt catch his name but he had a man bun and glasses hahaha (no judgment). This entire ordeal took about 15-20 minutes total, including waiting and dropping my car off at the mechanic. Overall would recommend this towing company. Also, want to thank them for making me feel safe (when it was dark and cold) and secure that my car was in good hands. read more

If I could give no stars I would! They are a scam towing company. They towed my car from a handicap spot even thought it had the placard hanging. They tossed the placard on the passenger floor. When I went to pick up my car from their tow yard, the office at 11pm, the 3 people in the office were smoking weed (2 that then got into tow trucks and drove off). They had no paperwork on my car nor had it been reported to the police as towed. They made me wait for the driver that had supposedly towed my car he wanted me to pay $480 in cash to get my car, even though it clearly stated they accepted credit cards. I asked for an invoice and then went to the back office and tried to handwrite an invoice so that his math would add up according to the prices listed, it didn't add up. I said I would come the next morning, because they were trying to rip me off. He tried to tell me my car would be sent to the auction yard. I have filed a complaint with AAA, the Better Business Bureau and the city of Riverside. Predatory practices like these need to be stopped. read more

As soon as hung up with AAA, Ramona Towing called stating could be there in 10-15 minutes and was at my place in 12 min. Dispatch was friendly and the driver was polite and professional. At drop off, they got the truck right where my dad needed it and even he was impressed with the gentleman who dropped it off (which says a lot, my dad isn't easy to please).
