The staff is nice and attentive and don't generally bother you while you're on the line. They leave it up to the shooters to watch over each other and decide when to clear the line to set up targets via the audible siren and light. I used to go to a range less than 2 minutes from my house but they ruined my experience in one visit and I will not go back to them. This place is worth the 30mile drive.

Full club house with bar and kitchen including twice monthly Friday fish frys, 6 Trap fields (open to the public), 2 stocked fishing lakes, brand new 20-lane covered rifle/pistol range (members and guests only), archery and a pro shop--ALL for the astoundingly low membership dues of $125 a year, family included. Need I say more? Okay, let me mention that the Thursday League Night burgers, fries and deep-fried mushrooms are delicious! EGC has the claim of being the oldest continuously chartered gun club in the USA (since 1879). Whether there's a private club somewhere in the original 13 colonies that can beat that claim, I'm not sure, nor do I care. EGC has none of the pretentiousness that usually accompanies a "private club". In fact, they welcome the public on weekends and guests of members are always welcome. A "round" of trap costs about $5 for non-members which includes your 25 clay birdies. Ammo available for sale or bring your own--(shot heavier than 7.5 prohibited). Hours: Saturday: Noon - 5 p.m. fun shooting open to the public Sunday: Noon - 5 p.m. fun shooting open to the public Thursday: 10 a.m. - 10 p.m -- League competition on Thursdays begins @ 7 p.m. (year-round) All other time, you are welcome to use the two lakes for fishing. There is an additional $20 per year fee if you're using non-powered boat. Membership gets you a key to the front gate which allows you to fish on any non-shooting day at your leisure (license required). Please lock the gate behind you when you enter! The only positive part of this experience was the price. Unfortunately, everything else was unacceptable. Customer service was extremely unprofessional and openly hostile -- not only toward me, but also toward the FFL dealer. When the FFL contacted them to resolve the issue, they were told, "Fine, I'll just remove you from the list," despite the fact that the FFL had already requested removal months prior. I was later told by the company that they had never spoken with this FFL before, which directly contradicts documented communication provided by the FFL showing they had asked to be removed over 3 months ago. Because of their failure to update their system, I was placed in a situation where my order would have been shipped to a location that could not accept it -- and I was told I would be responsible for paying a second insured shipping fee, even though the issue was entirely on their end and the item had not yet shipped. Thankfully, my local FFL worked with me and provided proof of prior communication, which made it clear where the breakdown occurred. Canceling my order and blocking me after raising legitimate concerns only reinforces the lack of professionalism and accountability. I will not be doing business with this company again.
