    a band performing on stage

Staff, very nice and professional. Service at the bar, great. Sound? Abysmal. I went to see the Violent Femmes last night and the sound quality was such garbage we left before the end. How is it possible to mix a full horn section so poorly that they cannot be heard? Ditto for the drums. I'm not saying I want to have my doors blown off but having to take out my ear plugs to hear better is something I don't think I should have to do, especially at a venue charging a hundred bucks a ticket. The mix was so underwhelming and muffled, it was only the excitement of the crowd's love of the band that did not cause a mass exit. It was terrible from upstairs stage left and equally bad standing near the merch table. I won't waste my time and $$$ at Rams Head Live again.

Went to rams head for the first time! The lighting was great for the bands, sound quality was great too. The drinks were not a bad price and they were nice and cold. Super fast for the drinks too and everyone was very nice. The bathroom was a great size, been a few other places that were tiny. Wasn't to hot and wasn't to cold either inside, absolutely perfect experience for the first time!

One of their security workers was throwing half frozen water bottles into the crowd during sets. My friend got hit in the face with one and was bleeding everywhere. The management and head of security at Rams Head were huge pricks to him about it when confronted later. I witnessed their security manager telling him that his name was "Haha" and mocking my friend and his injury. Very negligent and disrespectful.

Came here for the Floetry concert. This venue is general admission and you have to stand, save for a few seats at the bar at the entrance and a few bar tables with seats. I suggest you get there early to cop these. Entrance was painless with ladies having to have their bags checked and you get your hand stamped (l believe to go in and out). They only had one bar open with ONE bartender...really Rams Head? Of course the line stretched far back so l decided to wait until after the concert started, but by then, l didn't want one. Your loss Rams Head. Parking in downtown Baltimorean is typical, with a number of parking garages and metered street parking available. The show itself was great, but they really need to work on the acoustics there because it kinda sucked. I believe this will be my last show here as l am older and enjoy a good 'ol seat to enjoy my concerts in instead of standing as my dogs slowly began to bark....

Man, oh man, I love live club concerts. I've been to a few I'll never forgot. Something about being in closer quarters and the freedom to move around and dance (or just sway) while enjoying a drink makes me more in tune with the artists on stage. I was lucky to score a free ticket to see Raphael Saadiq (RayRay of Tony! Toni! Tone'!- had to look the sp up!) from one of my chicas bc her sis sings back up. It was packed! Yeah, we sure do love us some 90's throwbacks, huh? And this show surpassed my expectations. I got to hang backstage, grab some food (meh) and enjoy my cocktails while listening to a prolific artist. RayRay killed it! The sound was amazing and his voice filled up the spot, so I didn't notice any acoustical issues. Only thing is I wish I had gone out to the stage area before they went on to try and find us some stools. It was cool how folks lined them up around the balcony on both levels. It was definitely easy to see the stage from that vantage point. However, me and my girl had to look over people's heads until we decided to head down to the lower level and catch a side view. All in all, a great saloon-like venue. Very clean with monitors all around the bar, even the bathrooms were tidy and bright. I would definitely go back. Ladies, just be sure to wear comfy shoes just in case you can't find a stool!

Behind the planters is a seating area to enjoy drinks/food. Through those doors is the "Rockstar Entrance".

    Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the main floor is wheelchair accessible. There are also some tables and monitors accessible from a side entrance so you don't have to fight the crowds.

Even during busy times I've been where she was the only server working, she's always really pleasant and never made me feel rushed. This review is about tonight's experience. After picking up my order (by foot), I get home and see that someone named Maurice called to let me know only half my order was given to me (I believe he's the manager). I asked if he could just credit that portion of my order, and he said I'd have to do it through the app (there's not an option to do so). There was no offer to have the order delivered to me so I just walked back to pick it up. He did apologize for the inconvenience when he handed me the bag, and said he put a $10 card in the bag. When I got home and open up the food (dinner-sized scallops entree), they gave me the smallest scallops I'd ever seen, they were not pan-seared (or under-seared), were rubbery and had NO flavor. This was not worth the price, the inconvenience of walking a half-mile back to the restaurant for, and def not worth the $10 card that I'd have to spend $30 to unlock on an order that automatically includes gratuity. I hope if this happens to a patron in the future, they will consider having the order delivered, and at least throw in a complimentary appetizer or dessert if it's too much of a hassle to credit them. As for the food quality...i just want them to do better. The place is beautiful and I want them to succeed.

The night that I went, the manager shared that more than five people had called out, so I'm trying not to hold the service against them. It was clear everyone was working really hard and trying their best. The food took a really long time to come out and unfortunately, it wasn't the best. The pasta was super spicy, which I was not prepared for, but it was enjoyable. The chocolate cake was served cold, and as a result tasted a little gritty. The drinks were nice. The crab dip was all right, but did not come with enough bread to eat it. And when you asked for more you had to pay an additional fee. Overall, I would come back, but I would just make sure I ate somewhere else.

But…read morerecently I had a bad experience that left me feeling dark and empty, like the cycle of the moon was causing everyone around me to radiate negative and hateful energy. The interaction forced me to go home and watch Mr. Bean's holiday to remind me that there is good in the world. I came in at 1:15 which is late but the door was open and there was a DJ in the back playing music and like 7 people at the bar. The bartender was chatting with two people at the bar so I walked up. And the bartender gave me the dirtiest look that made me question if I had known him as a child and did something wrong to him because he looked at me like I was his number one enemy. Then he said "yeahhh we're like ..... getting ready to be done....." and I said "okay is there time for one drink? Or did you already do last call" Then he just kept looking off and said yeah no. We're done. And I said okay! No problem. I was curious what was happening in the back like if it was a DJ or karaoke or what because I hadn't seen the set up before and like I said I like this place for shows. I was just genuinely curious and I was preparing to leave no matter what but like F SAKE can a girl not ask a bartender a question about the establishment??? Again he looked at me like we had ancestral beef, like he had been hating me and my families bloodline for years. And he just kind of ignored me. And said something like "you can't just go back there and hangout" and I said "I know, I was just asking. I thought it might have been karaoke or open mic I didn't know you guys did that here" Then he ignored me. Like I was not trying to hangout and get a drink after he already told me no I was just curious because if there was karaoke I'd like to come back for it!!!! Then the woman he was talking to at the bar turned to me and said "have you ever been to Royal blue? You could go there" And idk how to explain but it was in the most condescending way ever, like you don't belong here or like she was talking to me like I was 5 years old?? Anyway I said okay thanks, I was just curious have a good night. And I left. And I left feeling the anxiety and humiliation in my tummy like I had just been bullied out of the cool kids lunch table. So. Sorry for bothering that bartender by asking 2 questions about the bar that he works at and sorry for whatever crime I apparently committed against you in our first cycles of life that made you absolutely HATE MY GUYS even though I was literally wearing my "please be kind to me" shirt. Now im too humiliated to go back and it was just sinister vibes. Sad.

We also found some random Halloween decoration that we ended up dancing with. I guess there's food here because Yelp is offering it to me as an option to review, but I have never eaten here. The drinks are all well and you should not expect a drink anything faster than a beer or a well drink. I really liked how empty it was and the music was really made for us. You really don't need to know anything about square dancing, she taught everything you needed to know. It was my first time square dancing, and although I was anxious about switching partners/dancing with strangers, it seemed like the caller took that into account: you start with just your partner, then find another couple, then you find two other couples, and all these formations ease you into switching partners. I was sweating by dance #2, but I stuck around until the band took a break after 1.5 hours. I had three complaints: her mic was not loud enough, the water machine was broken, and not enough chairs for folks taking a break. However, besides those concerns, square dancing made for a great, affordable date night.

Maryland Deathfest is the high point of my year. Four days of heavy metal (grind, death,…read morethrash..the heavier, the better), booze, friends, and loading up on awesome merch. Typically the first day starts around 5ish and goes til 2 am, the second starting a bit earlier and the weekend being an all day event. I love perusing the amazing merch tents and finding band shirts that I could only dream about (or, I suppose, find online). I've been going to MDF for five years now and it is THE metal fest in America. In fact, it is one of the few fests in the US to draw people from all over the world (both bands and spectators). They've had their bumps in the road as the fest has grown over the years including venue and security issues but I feel that for the most part that has been resolved. Sure, drink prices can be high (like this year water prices kept going up every day. Weird) but for a festival they have a nice diverse line up of drink and food choices (I recommend the bbq and the tacos). The frozen drink stand offered some delicious and refreshing daiquiris and margaritas that were worth the high price in order to cool down. So metal heads, unite. Eat, drink and get crazy. You won't find another metal festival like it in the states. I've seen some of my favorite bands here and have really developed a love for Baltimore in the process. This city doesn't get enough credit sometimes. They are more than gracious hosts. Oh, and don't forget your sunscreen. Most of your day will be spent at the Edison lot in the blazing sun which is a parking lot turned in to a venue. The other two venues included in fest are the Soundstage which is a nice smaller venue and Ramshead Live!. Ramshead is a very nice larger venue with a nice craft beer line up. You will learn to develop a nice way to balance water, caffeine and alcohol intake after a few years. Or end up being one of the swaggering drunk zombies or people sleeping on the asphalt. haha. So, if you are a metal head, I highly recommend you start making the yearly pilgrimage. It is well worth the money, exhaustion and sunburn to see some of the best metal acts in the world, stateside.
