    Caesar salad

Tried Ranallis for the first time last night and it was a solid dinner choice. I ordered their 12-inch hot honey sopressata with ricotta on thin crust, plus an individual Caesar salad. Portion-wise, it was a perfect meal for one person. The pizza really hit the spot--exactly what I was craving. Not the best thin crust I've ever had, but definitely really good, and I'm glad I went with one of their popular options. The hot honey and soppressata paired with the ricotta was a great combo and made the whole thing come together. The Caesar salad was just okay, but it satisfied the craving. Overall, I'd absolutely try Rinaldi's again, and I'm looking forward to stopping in person next time to check out the bar.

Came here on marathon day for a break between cheering on runners! We shared the margherita pizza and seasoned fries, and I got a coke. The pizza was sooo good and garlicky. The fries were amazing! At first I thought it was funny that the specified "seasoned" on the menu, but the fries really were seasoned with some secret salt/pepper/sugar combination that was addicting. And maybe I was tired and thirsty but they had the best coke ever. Service was great especially considering the crowd. There was a nice mix of adult groups and families dining in. There were TVs at the booths showing the sports of the day. Restrooms were clean. You can pay at your table without having to wait for your server which was convenient. Thanks, Ranalli's! You hit the spot.

Ranalli's is the perfect spot in West Loop to grab a bite before a night out--or after--since they're open late. The vibe is fun, casual, and exactly what you want when you're out with friends! The service was phenomenal--seriously, some of the most attentive and welcoming staff I've had in the city. They kept the energy high and the drinks flowing!! We split a half jalapeño + pepperoni, half sausage + green pepper pizza, and it hit the spot. The crust leaned on the soggier side, but the flavors still came through and made it delicious. The toasted ravioli was another win--crispy, cheesy, and the perfect appetizer to share! With good food, great drinks, and even better service, Ranalli's is a solid go-to. Whether you're starting the night or wrapping it up, you can't go wrong here!

We shared these tavern style pizza: Hot Honey Soppressata - whipped ricotta, soppressata, roasted tomato, hot honey Ranalli's Special - italian sausage, mushrooms, onions, green peppers Not the best tavern style I would take tourists to but solid, affordable, go-to bar pizza when you're craving it. Good spread and flavor of toppings; crust could be crispier. No issues with service. Terribly loud inside.

Chef Alvaro is a great chef. We really love the pizza and the raviolis that are fried and the red sauce is really good and it's also sweet. The pizza is really thin crust and crispy, and if you buy a pizza with toppings, they lay on the toppings and it's amazing to enjoy your favorite stuff carefully laid out all over the pizza grid including putting mozzarella cheese very close to the crust which most pizza makers don't do. I tend to think that chefs like Alvaro really take such good care of making the pizza bc it takes time to add cheese so close to the crust. Thank you! The fried raviolis for $15 (not a lot of good at 5 pieces) were good but I didn't like the batter bc it was thick and grainy. I would have preferred a lighter batter. But the dipping sauces were good! Love the sports bar atmosphere and tons of ppl come here after United games too. Seats are comfy. Our waitress Dani was very sweet and attentive. Thank you! Street parking only and it's $4.75 per hour and the meters stop at 10pm.

Went here for a march madness game on a sunday and it was busy! The service was pretty quick which was surprising. We started off with the calamari for an appetizer which was pretty average. Then we got the hot honey soppressata pizza which was mid. Overall was not very impressed with the food. There is definitely better pizza places in Chicago. The bill was also rather expensive for a couple drinks each and food.

Stopped by before a show at the UC -- the staff was so accommodating-- we didn't want to wait so they set us up outside with heat lamps. Our server was super friendly and prompt-- we thoroughly enjoyed our calamari, salad and entrees-- the margarita pizza and chicken parm sandwich. All the food came out surprisingly quickly and all at the perfect temps. The chicken parm sandwich was excellent -- thin, crispy, with the right amount of cheese and sauce-- the focaccia it was on was perfectly crispy. And the thin cut sweet potato fries? Spot on. We'll be back!

Where do I start. Clean and casual right when you walk in. The smells in the air were so inviting. Service was prompt and polite. The Cabernet with the pizza was a perfect combination for me. The pizza got the extra star for sure!

Ordered for take-out through DoorDash so I won't comment on the environment of the location, however I was compelled to review because of the level of costumer service this spot has. I put in the notes of my order to change one of the Soppressata pizzas I ordered made with pepperoni instead of their usual hard salami ham they use, fully convinced they would just ignore the note as a lot of other places do when ordering takeout. However I was more than pleasantly surprised to see they listened to my request! Automatic brownie points in my book. Also, to make a good thing even sweeter, their pizza was amazing! The Soppressata pizza was actually a bit spicy, and the one we had made with pepperoni was a lot more mild if anyone is worried they couldn't handle the OG. Can't wait to come back in person and try more of their specialty pizzas!

We were in the neighborhood and decided to stop in here on Friday night and had an easy time getting a table. The decor is pretty sleek and modern, very comfortable chairs. Loved the tavern cut pizza, it was a bit spicy so having the Caesar salad on the side was a good choice. The waitress told us how good the skillet cookie is and it didn't disappoint. Considering the price the beer could've been better/colder, they were almost warm.

Such a fun spot pre-united center events! Came here before a Blackhawks game and was thrilled with the energy of all the folks in Blackhawks attire. Took advantage of the fun free shuttle to the game after our meal as well. Service was quick and prompt. We shared a dill pickle pizza, jumbo chicken tenders, large Greek salad, and toasted ravioli. Everything was delicious though the Greek salad dressing was too sour and overpowering so we barely ate that. My spicy margarita went down well with this meal. A fun time for the big group!

The hot honey pizza is the best. Thin and crispy / tavern style. $22/pitchers Great spot to go before a game or concert at the Unite Center

Plenty of screens to watch games!

We all ordered some drinks to start and I went with their twist on an aperol sprtiz (I don't remember the name.....) but its one of their specials that has aperol! And it was delish!!!! After that we got a bunch of bites to eat including some of the happy hour bites. We got the board which had a bunch of different dips of which each was great but have to admit the pimento cheese was my fave! Of course we had to get the parmesan fries and we decided to share the mac and cheese as well. Delicious bites! Our waitress was super great and checked in on us so we ordered a second drink an espresso martini! It was good, not the best I had so stick to the other drinks on the menu! Unfortunately, my experience at The Vig left me embarrassed, belittled, and questioning why I was treated the way I was. I walked in because the place looked good! We were ready to enjoy ourselves, order drinks, maybe some food, and see what all the hype was about. It was a busy Friday night before the Fourth of July. I understand busy. I'm patient. That's not the issue. After a few minutes, our server--a young blonde woman--walked over. Greeted Said "We've never been here before. Do we order through you, or is there a menu?" Instead of welcoming us, she acted like we had just asked her to solve a math equation. She snapped back, "Yeah, you order from me... or you can just go sit at the bar. So what do you want?" I honestly thought maybe I misheard her because... ain't no way that's how you greet people in an upscale restaurant. So I repeated again if we could get some water while we looked over the menu. That's when she looked me up and down and said, "If you're just going to order water and sit here for hours, you can't do that here." ......mind fcuced......thinking ......You don't know me. You don't know my wallet. You don't know whether I'm about to order one drink or buy the whole top shelf. But somehow, before I even opened the menu, you had already decided I was just there to take up space. Now, I can't say what was going through her mind. But I walked away feeling like she looked at me and immediately made assumptions about the kind of customer I was. Maybe I was wrong. Maybe I wasn't. But perception matters, especially in hospitality. The ironic part? We still ordered drinks. We paid our bill. We tipped. That's just how I was raised. But here's the thing: I'll never spend another dollar there. The ambiance is beautiful, but customer service is what people remember. You can have fancy lighting, expensive cocktails, and Instagram-worthy décor, but if your staff greets paying customers with suspicion instead of hospitality, all that elegance goes right out the window. Do better, The Vig. Because first impressions don't just matter--they're expensive.

I had low expectations since this is a sports bar but this is probably the best chicken Caesar wrap I've had in my life. There is an upstairs area that's a little more loungier whereas the downstairs can get more rowdy on game day. We came during the championship game, and this was the perfect spot to be. We came early to be able to snag some bar seats upstairs and enjoy multiple drinks and food. Drinks are great - some cocktails and beers are only offered downstairs. Food was a mix: Chimichurri cauliflower: smaller portion than I expected, nothing special I'd skip this dish. Ceasar salad: dressing is very heavy on the anchovy paste, otherwise good portion and veggies. Loaded fries: huge portion with lots of great toppings, though I wish their fries were more 'fry' like versus potato skin-like. Chicken tenders: I got this with sweet potato fries, and they were way too salty. The chicken tenders were 4 skimpy pieces of chicken, and I was charged for extra dipping sauces and ketchup. The spicy mango habanero and buffalo are good - skip the garlic parmesan. I will most definitely be back for the vibes, drinks, and service. I'm hoping the food is just working on some kinks and will get better the next time!

The food from Theory never disappoints. Last year, I had the Theory Burger and was delighted by how good it was. This year, I tried the Challah French Toast and it was pleasantly delicious. The Mac and Cheese was also a solid choice, and for $8, they provided a good amount of food! And that Chicken Parm Egg Roll...wow they were so good!! I recall last year a reservation was $5/person, but this year they charged $15/person. For this reason, we came in at 9AM opening time for an 8-person table and were able to get one without having to pay the reservation fee. I really like how organized Theory is though, as a sports bar. Service has always been great and I may come again for another game!

If you've been to the old spot I'm talking about, you'll notice immediately that The Scout still has the beautiful, soaring ceilings, but they've also remodeled a chunk of the restaurant, which is great! We sat down pretty immediately at a table in the back of the restaurant - not too far from the (new) DJ booth, and our waitress was extremely kind and gave us prompt service. We were just hanging out, listening to the music, when the NFL Divisional playoff game that was on tonight came back on, and let me tell you, it was the loudest game audio I have ever heard in a bar, ever. I've been going to sports bars for most of my adult life, and I get that folks can get excited and loud and that's not what I'm talking about. The audio of just the announcers and players from the telecast were almost exceeding 100 dBA, slow, without the bar cheering. I've been an audio engineer for over 20 years, and that isn't too far off from the base level of what you'll experience at concerts at the United Center (102-110 dBA, slow). We asked twice if the zone that encompassed our area of the restaurant could be turned down - but nothing changed, so we took our food to go and left. It wasn't just "can't have a conversation" loud, it was "I can't think" loud. This place needs to do some system tuning (the example I'll give - if you go to a Yard House the environment is loud and lively but you can still hold a conversation at your table because the audio system is extremely well tuned). The food that we ate when we got home (Kids mac n cheese and buffalo wings) were exceptional, so that's why I'm not leaving a single star. I don't know if we'll be back, I was incredibly disappointed tonight.
