It gets crowded in there, looks like a fun place to go before you head to a United Center game! They even provide shuttles that take you to United Center. They're known for their thin crust pizza, more so than the pan style (per the host). My fellow diner went with the pan style, "looked good, tasted okay." I had the Gluten Free 11inch Thin Crust - Hawaiian. I really loved the toppings on their take of Hawaiian: habanero BBQ, honey baked ham, smoked gouda cheese, thai basil, grilled pineapple. It was good, but I've had better crusts. The toppings/cheese slid off the crust as I ate it, so it wasn't as cohesive. The nice thing is that the gluten free crust is only an additional dollar, and just one inch less in size. Looks like they've got salads, appetizers, sandwiches as well. Tonight, after traveling we arrived back in Chicago. We decided to try a pizza place that's new to us, that was on the way home. We found Ranali's Pizza. I ordered over the phone. The noise level was insane over the phone, even worse inside the restaurant. There was a NFL game on their tv, so I get it will be loud, but this was insane. Ordering over the phone felt impossible. We ordered a 16in build your own with sausage, garlic, onion, green peppers, and mushrooms. Before I hung up I asked if the Ranali's special was the same thing or similar and the receptionist yelled into the phone no.. while driving over, my wife compared the 2 and in fact, they were identical with 2 extra toppings added. When we arrived at the restaurant to pick the pizza up, I asked the receptionist if they could ring the pizza up as a Ranali's special with 2 toppings added (would be $5 cheaper after taxes). The girl said I don't think we can do that. I asked what the difference was, were the pizzas more different than I thought. She said no. Then she asked another woman who appeared to be a manager and she refused saying sorry, next time order it as a Ranali's special. So it came down to just pure laziness or greed over $5. Talk about lack of customer service. All they had to do is cancel the order and re-ring it up. Was $5 worth a new customer never returning? Guess so. Unbelievable. I' should have just walked out and said forget it. Eat the pizza yourself. I've never seen this. As for the pizza, the sausage was good. We loved the crust. The rest of the pizza was very bland. I'm not kidding when I tell you a Digiorno pizza you get at Walmart has more flavor. So much better options out there. I cannot recommend this place. Customer service gets about -5 stars, pizza gets 2 stars. Skip it, there is much better out there. And for those who may think I'm just bitter over the bill, look at my hundreds of other reviews, they usually are very positive. read more

Tried Ranallis for the first time last night and it was a solid dinner choice. I ordered their 12-inch hot honey sopressata with ricotta on thin crust, plus an individual Caesar salad. Portion-wise, it was a perfect meal for one person. The pizza really hit the spot--exactly what I was craving. Not the best thin crust I've ever had, but definitely really good, and I'm glad I went with one of their popular options. The hot honey and soppressata paired with the ricotta was a great combo and made the whole thing come together. The Caesar salad was just okay, but it satisfied the craving. Came here on marathon day for a break between cheering on runners! We shared the margherita pizza and seasoned fries, and I got a coke. The pizza was sooo good and garlicky. The fries were amazing! At first I thought it was funny that the specified "seasoned" on the menu, but the fries really were seasoned with some secret salt/pepper/sugar combination that was addicting. And maybe I was tired and thirsty but they had the best coke ever. Service was great especially considering the crowd. There was a nice mix of adult groups and families dining in. Chef Alvaro is a great chef. We really love the pizza and the raviolis that are fried and the red sauce is really good and it's also sweet. The pizza is really thin crust and crispy, and if you buy a pizza with toppings, they lay on the toppings and it's amazing to enjoy your favorite stuff carefully laid out all over the pizza grid including putting mozzarella cheese very close to the crust which most pizza makers don't do. I tend to think that chefs like Alvaro really take such good care of making the pizza bc it takes time to add cheese so close to the crust. Thank you! The fried raviolis for $15 (not a lot of good at 5 pieces) were good but I didn't like the batter bc it was thick and grainy. I would have preferred a lighter batter. But the dipping sauces were good! Love the sports bar atmosphere and tons of ppl come here after United games too. Seats are comfy. Our waitress Dani was very sweet and attentive. Thank you! Went here for a march madness game on a sunday and it was busy! The service was pretty quick which was surprising. We started off with the calamari for an appetizer which was pretty average. This place is so cute and much larger than it looks from the outside! It definitely has the sports bar pool with multiple large screen TV's and a lot of long tables for groups of friends to sit and watch the games. It's very loud when busy but it's part of the vibe/atmosphere there. Even though it's big and loud I found a comfy ambiance there. The food was excellent from the jumbo pretzel, warm, crisp outside and soft doughiness inside! The Greek salad was huge, plenty for 3 people to share! I wanted to try the hot honey pizza with the ricotta but without the Soppressata due to my meal allergy. They were very accommodating and the staff was lovely. Ordered for take-out through DoorDash so I won't comment on the environment of the location, however I was compelled to review because of the level of costumer service this spot has. I put in the notes of my order to change one of the Soppressata pizzas I ordered made with pepperoni instead of their usual hard salami ham they use, fully convinced they would just ignore the note as a lot of other places do when ordering takeout. However I was more than pleasantly surprised to see they listened to my request! Automatic brownie points in my book. Also, to make a good thing even sweeter, their pizza was amazing! The Soppressata pizza was actually a bit spicy, and the one we had made with pepperoni was a lot more mild if anyone is worried they couldn't handle the OG. Such a fun spot pre-united center events! Came here before a Blackhawks game and was thrilled with the energy of all the folks in Blackhawks attire. Took advantage of the fun free shuttle to the game after our meal as well. Service was quick and prompt. We shared a dill pickle pizza, jumbo chicken tenders, large Greek salad, and toasted ravioli. What a fun and delicious spot for pizza! We were able to get a table for 4 on a bustling Friday evening. The restaurant is a lot larger than what I had expected which is nice. There is also patio seating available for the nicer days. We started with the fries and calamari which were good - the breading on the calamari fell off easily but the pieces were fairly large. For pizza, we shared the hot honey soppressata and prosciutto and arugula. Both were good and we had enough for left overs. I visited Ranalli's West Loop location in November 2022 for a holiday party. I had a wonderful time. The restaurant is very clean and spacious. They had a large bar area. There were ample amounts of seating and can accommodate big groups of patrons. There is street parking nearby. The Pizza was delicious. It was flavorful and had a crispy thin crust. I had the Ranalli's Special Pizza, which consisted of Italian sausage, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers. I tasted the Meat Lover Pizza, which consisted of Italian sausage, pepperoni, bacon, and meatballs. The Bruschetta was also tasty, which consisted of tomatoes, basil and olive oil. The chicken tenders were big and juicy, and were served with dipping sauce. The garlic knots were yummy as well. They were knotted pizza dough, garlic butter, spicy Parmesan, marinara and ranch. The drinks were strong and well made, so I was definitely impressed. The customer service was very good, and the staff made me feel right at home. They had def been done for a bit bc they weren't very hot but they were good! Nice crispy breading and lots of white meat inside. I liked that they came with different sauces, all which were pretty good. For pizza, we got the spicy soppressata with ricotta and added sausage. They added a generous proportion, which was nice.
