The 4th of July, 2021 is now history, but for me and others it will be a lasting memory in our hearts. We have been staying at Rancheria RV Park since 1999. It is a family oriented Park, in a forest setting with Generations of families returning year after year. Last night around dusk, there was a 4th of July celebrations, people of all ages, parading through the park. It was led by a guest with an American Flag, followed by guests of all ages, carrying small American flags and a wagon with a sound system playing Patriotic Songs, guests greeting guests with Happy 4th of July. No Fireworks, just families and friends celebrating their Independence. Thank you to the guests who organized this. This is a great country and hopefully it will remain as so. read more

Park was not up kept or clean as far as rv spots and tent sites. There is no WiFi or cell signal. Sites are dusty and ashy. Just expected more for a higher cost sight fee. read more

Love this RV park - set in beautiful pine forest, nice roomy sites for the most part, a lovely pond with water fowl and nice folks at the registration desk. The park is very clean, including the large showers with lots of hot water, and well maintained. I've read complaints that the internet/phone is inadequate -- people, people this is the woods in a rural area; get a grip on your expectations! And best of all, they have great pie in their cafe/store. this is a great jumping off spot for Mt. Lassen Nat'l Park, fishing, hiking, etc. We just got back from a stay there and are looking forward to our next visit! read more

I would sell my RV before staying here again. Rude manager.....made us wait over an hour until check in time even though our reserved site was vacant. She also has her friends roaring up and down the park too her slum trailer well into the night. Firepits never seem to get cleaned, I had to throw water around it to keep from starting a wild fire. TV connections haven't worked the last two times we were there and they blame it on the cable company. BAD EXPERIENCE!!! read more

I give the setting 5 stars but I am only giving an overall rating of 4 stars. The setting is beautiful and it is clean and well maintained. What brings the rating down is that if you have AT&T cell there is no service here. Also the wifi is terrible. They really don't have much wifi choice because of their location, but the service they use is Tengo - 2 hour a day limit and there are megabyte limits. The internet service is really really slow. Both my husband and I work when we travel and it is difficult to do when you have no cell service and limited wifi. We have to travel 5 miles to get cell service. The fires that recently went through the adjacent areas really destroyed the beautiful land. Wish AT&T would get better service in this area and we would give this 5 stars. read more

Tacky RV camp with old printed papers posted all over. Not well maintained. They never answer the phone. I agree with last post, women in front office is useless. No where on their website do they state their laundry room is not working. When I inquired, her comment was "will I didn't know you need it". And, of course the nearest ONE is in Burney. So you need to drive 15 miles to maybe find the one and only laundromat. Will not stay here again. read more

Our first stop for our 2019 vacation. I was so glad I found this place! Very nice, friendly people at the office, beautiful place with a nice pond. Their bathrooms were clean and the showers were big! We even had breakfast the next day at their coffee place, they were big portions and delicious! Their PT sites are huge too, just wish it was a little bit more level, but it was ok, we managed. Totally worth it! Will come back and recommend to friends. read more

We stayed in one of the cabins and it was wonderful. There are critics of the cell service and wifi service but I have family that live in this area and that's just the beauty of this part of the world, you are almost off the grid. If you are looking for the conveniences you get everywhere else, keep driving. If you want to enjoy what it's like to be in a rural area a stone's throw from an amazing National Park and an beautiful State Park this is the place! The facilities are top notch if you realize that this is an area that has to drive a half an hour at least for a second grocery store. I thought the owner was really rude. She was sitting on her butt with another lady just chatting away. She saw us come in and not once did she say hi or welcome come on in. You would think friendly service would be important to her and it wasn't. Anyway. So we are walking around collecting items and I see some pie it looked good I wanted a piece. But who to ask? So my husband says "I'll get it for you, since no one is helping us" (he's a very independent person and does things on his own) and she starts yelling! "you don't do that yourself!" He says "oh ok I didn't know" (at this point he is laughing about it attempting to be friendly) and she turns around says NOTHING and her friend says nothing it just and across as rude, unfriendly, odd, and it was almost like we were interrupting her precious talk with her friend. If my husband wasn't supposed to be getting it, I have a brilliant idea. Quit the chit chat with the friend and do your JOB!! And the pie was ok but just very sugary. I got the coconut cream and I actually ended up getting sugary sick over it. Would not go out of my way to go back read more

Yes the park is beautiful and the location is AMAZING, but the Owner and her communication not so much. WARNING! They don't tell you on your website that you cannot have tents in your RV sites. I don't know about others out there but we have a teenage son and when we go out he doesn't want to sleep in the trailer with us, he wants his own space so just like we do EVERYWHERE else we go, we set up his tent in our site, which by the way had plenty of room. The next day a worker who didn't speak very good english came over and told us that the Owner said we had to move it. We thought okay maybe we have it set up outside the "limits" of our space and moved it. Later that day what we believe to be the Owner came knocking on our door to tell us that we had to take it down as no tents were allowed in RV sites and that had been the rules for 12 years. Rules not told to us when the reservation was made by the way. It was close to 100 degrees when she asked so we thought we would wait til the sun went down a bit, but that wasn't good enough, she again came and told us we had to take it down NOW! I can see that they don't want an RV site with 8 tents on it as I wouldn't want that next to my site but c'mon, limit the number maybe. A family of 3 with an RV and one tent??? I hear they are selling so maybe the new owners will change that stupid rule. read more

I emailed a cancellation request five days before my trip, and after not hearing back after 1.5 days, called them to confirm my cancellation. I was told that they have a SEVEN day cancellation requirement and that I would not be refunded. I told them that was an unreasonable cancellation policy, and is not communicated on their website. They lied and told me that their policy is communicated to everyone during booking. DO NOT USE THIS RV PARK ... very unethical and dishonest folks!!! read more

We have stayed at this park multiple times over the years but our stay last October was our last. We booked an RV site for ourselves and a cabin for my elderly parents. They got the booking wrong (too many nights). We informed them when we checked in that we would probably not be staying the extra day they had us booked for., We were told, no problem, just let us know and we will cancel the last night. When we went to settle our bill, we informed the woman at the front desk (a different person than who checked us in), that we would not be staying the extra night. She informed us that they can only credit us for the last night. No refunds. I explained that it was their mistake in the first place. Didn't matter. She still refused to credit us the last night. After several minutes of calmly arguing, it began to escalate and I asked to speak to the owner/manager (an older woman who I could see, cowering in the office, nearby). Again, I explained to her that this original extra night was their mistake. The owner would not budge. My elderly father and I were respectful, but insistent that they give us our money back. Finally, the owner became very nasty, F-bombed us and told the woman at the counter to give us the credit for their mistake. I think this old woman has no business working with the public. Watch out. Do NOT pay for any reservations you don't KNOW you will be using because you will not get your money back. Check your receipts to make sure you didn't get charged too much either, unless you like being verbally abused, and do not take anyone's word for it that you will not be charged for their mistakes. They say they provide internet . . You get 2 hours to check your email that takes 55 mins to load, then you are cut off and must buy more time. . No cell phones work there. Stay was for four days and told if we need to leave early, there would be no problem to get a refund. Because of no internet and our business we wanted to leave a day early. Whoa, here comes the nasty. They said it would be a $15.00 cancellation fee, which I agreed to out of the $42.00 per night. I explained that we would leave in the morning if they would refund us the balance of $27.00 after the cancellation fee. They wrote me a check which I refused because I paid them cash and felt they should refund me in cash. Since they had an attitude at this point, I was not comfortable with the check. . They threw money on the counter and told us to "get the f##k out of their park!" The mother, daughter, and worker were all nasty. We were shocked at the foul language and packed up and left immediately. There is no cell phone service and they could care less if you cannot get their slow internet to work before it cuts you off. Terrible people running this place. . . Never again. . Beware read more
