After another 15 minutes, my order was ready for pickup, only to notice the packaging was smaller and significantly weighed less than normal. To ensure I wasn't loosing my sanity, I weighed it only to find out it weighed 12 oz in the container & LESS than 12 oz out of the container. Returning to the restaurant and informing the staff, they immediately pushed back and indicated the container was a 16oz container. I indicated to them I had weighed it at home and it was in fact less than 12 oz - causing the cashier and another staff member to looked shocked that I confirmed it was less than 12 oz. The cashier then responded " a pound is 12 oz." and I corrected her and said it was in fact 16 oz. The owner than proceeded to come and again, indicated it was an 16oz container and I once again informed him that I had weighed it at home & the contents themselves were less than 12 oz. He proceeded to talk to his staff in the back & took our container into the kitchen, and weighed it himself & then proceeded to resolve the issue. He then indicated that his staff is "eyeballing it and not using the scale" & that I was looking at him " as if I cheated you". Needless to say - I will NOT be returning to this establishment. Not only was my concern given push back multiple times, including the owner, but the lame excuse of having a scale & NOT USING IT, staff incorrectly stating a 1lb was 12 oz , and the comment from the owner was highly unprofessional. A message to the owner : 1. Please educate your staff how much a pound is. If I am going to be corrected matter of factly, it better be a correct statement. Also, rather than immediately be corrected, they should hear our customers concerns and check themselves on the issue to ensure they are aware of the situation BEFORE pushing back or offering a resolution. 2. If you have a scale - Use it. This was a sloppy mistake & an even sloppier excuse for the discrepancy. 3. Take ownership for your mistake instead of redirecting it to your customers. I didn't look at you "as if" you cheated me, I looked at you because YOU did cheat me, intentionally or unintentionally, and then gave me a sloppy excuse. If you have a scale, EVERY single package should be weighed before it is served, even IF the container itself is marked 16 oz, that doesn't automatically mean the contents are equal to that upon filling it. I am very disappointed that this was the service I received & deeply offended by the sloppy excuses provided for a product I already paid for. Further, it is deeply offensive to customers to have a sloppy operational process and then try to make them seem like the bad person in this situation when they in fact aren't getting what they already paid for. This was shady business practice & you should feel shameful for treating your community like this.

The pricing is fair between $11-$15 a plate but you can get tacos for three dollars and quesadillas for three dollars as well. Service was quick when we sat down, our waitress came within two minutes. however, I did take about 10 minutes before the chips and salsa were brought out, but you get free chips and salsa and of course we asked for the green sauce! Chips are homemade, which is always a plus and damn the green sauce is creamy, spicy and flavorful! Win! The red sauce is super flavorful and bright- my son said it's the best he's had. I ordered the Chile Riano and he ordered a hamburger... I don't know why he just felt like a hamburger today lol. but whatever, they have it on the menu! both dishes were fantastic, I'm giving this place five stars! I don't mind returning at all and I don't mind bringing guests here!

I highly recommend checking them out. Also I love that their salsa isn't super spicy. Their green salsa has a great flavor to it and the red salsa has a bit of a kick, but it's not just straight up spice. It was something my father Chef Werner would make, a little different with species but it looks the same. I loved it. The flavor, the spice, how tender the pork was. I thoroughly enjoyed the rice here and can confidently say they have truly some of the best rice I've had. The enchiladas were also stuffed and covered in oaxaca cheese which was a new one for me, but it ended up being super delicious and paired well with the enchiladas. The chips however were extremely hard but I enjoyed the salsas though and the red salsa in specific was super uniquely tasting. Yummy!!
