Ilda chatting about their award winning Malbecs and her awesome community having recently celebrated her 80th birthday!

I'm not a wine drinker, for years I would get headaches when I did. Ilda shared some wisdom and explained more about why while sharing her awesome Malbecs. Love their hospitality and took home a few bottles; the Tehachapi wineries are very supportive of one another which made our trip such a wonderful experience! Looking forward to coming back!

My all-time favorite wine! The Argentinean-style Malbec is aromatic and flavorful, award-winning, and goes amazing with chocolate. Ilda is a fantastic host and really loves to share her experience with her small vineyard, which is family-planted, grown, and maintained. She has an annual harvest and I helped out with this year's. Every bottle of her wine is small batch, like a vintage! She told me all about her dreams to start a vineyard and how she hopes to share her wine with as many people as possible. The vineyard and tasting room are conveniently located off of Hwy 202 and there are lovely hills surrounding, with great views of the mountains. Highly recommend a visit if you're a Tehachapi local or passing through. Will definitely return again!

I just stopped to taste the famous Malbec. It does not disappoint! It received a double gold in the San Francisco wine competition. Ilda the owner is a doll. She is so friendly and kind. The place is also an air b'n b! Just one acre. Tasting room is a green house off of 202.

Some girlfriends and I stopped by Sunday because I heard they were known for their Malbec wine they had us try their 2015,16,17,18, it's small inside but on a beautiful day you can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful views we each went home with a bottle of their award winning 2018 so good!

Their wine is superb but the people are by far the best and nicest. Beautiful setting; best place to watch the sunset

    Ilda's grapes.

What an unique experience! Ilda, the owner, is one of the most interesting women I have met. She has carried with her from her native Argentina a love of Malbec and many stories of world travel and love of the land. The grapes she grows on her small stretch of land seem to carry with them her unique and complex story. She has many award winning wines to offer. This winery should be a definite stop if you are looking for an authentic wine tasting experience and high quality Malbecs.

A glass of Malbec in the winery's tasting room where we had our tasting!

Where to start?!? This place is amazing. I only wish I lived closer…read more The Wine: I had an incredible small-batch Primitivo that was aged in oak bourbon barrels. It was smoky and subtle at first, with a rich tannin finish and a warm, soft whisper of bourbon. Barely noticeable, but definitely there. I loved this wine and ended up buying several bottles to enjoy later. The Food: I'm not sure why I wasn't expecting this, because as the name implies, they really know their beef. This is a winery that partners with a butcher for the finest selections of mountain-grown beef and they clearly have a man (or woman) on the inside because their cuts were fantastic. My wife raved about the tri-tip salad, and I can honestly say I've never had a better smash burger... Ever. It was called the Black & Blue and featured two fresh smash patties smothered with grilled onions, cheddar, and blue cheese. The cheese intentionally overflowed the burgers and melted onto the grill, creating a ring of crispy, chewy cheddar and blue cheese around the entire edge of the burger. Absolutely fantastic. The Staff: The staff were outstanding. I had a great conversation with the owners, Mike and Beth, about their community and what they're building. Their passion and joy were obvious. Mia and Rhonda were attentive, friendly, respectful, and professional. Tie all of that together with a beautiful view of the Cummings Valley and I don't know what more I could have hoped for. This place exceeded my expectations in every way.

Such great service, scenery was lovely ( a country feel) and the WINE! I ordered a bottle of wine, and my boyfriend got the wine tasting. My friends went for getting glasses of wine which everyone loved their choices. Very tasty selection of food. We got the charcuterie plate which was beautiful and a good size. My favorite was the loaded tater tots with their yummy chili. Next time the smash burger. Another customer ordered it and it looked amazing. The owners were very kind, warm and friendly. Came out to check on us several times. Doggy friendly. Live music. Just an overall wonderful laid back time. Relaxing. Perfect. Hope to come back soon. Nice get away close to home.

I've been here a few times and it's always nice being remembered by the family. Bill, Lisa, and Tony are the sweetest people in town! They care about your tastes, they want to know who you are, and best of all, is they want you to be a part of their story. These people KNOW wine. They have mountains of experience, and scrupulous amounts of great taste. If you want a good time, belonging, and great wine, this is definitely the place to be. The wine tasting is the best bang for your buck you're gonna get. $20 for 5 pours? Sign me up! Bill does very fair pours, and he makes sure you know the story. Each bottle uses a different logo from their family history, and every picture has a unique story. It's always nice to hear how they pay tribute to their roots! Adds an extra depth fo the already flavorful wine! This is where I tried a Dry Muscat, and a Montepulciano for the first time. Have never even heard of these wines in my life! But now they're my favorites! Don't be afraid to ask them any questions, they're very knowledgable and eager to teach. I'd say I learned most of my current wine knowledge from this family!
