I can't recommend the Tempranillo enough. But even the Chardonnay is great, and this is coming from a red wine connoisseur. There's indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of room for larger groups. Do stop in and say hello, because at Tlo, you'll probably make a friend or two over a great glass of wine.

I was and I know the other 6 people there and she was not one of them. These two girls came into a place they were not actually allowed to be in and they know it because of the sign on the front door. They placed a wonderful establishment in jeopardy due to their flagrant disregard for the law. The fact that one of them was a slight darker shade had no barring on situation. The manager, Karen, is one of the nicest, sweetest, friendliest and accepting people in the world. She is always willing to bend over backwards for anyone who needs help. She and this establishment are a warm and comforting welcome to a harsh world.

They had samples of their varieties of olive oil and balsamic. The olive oil is what they create right next door. Kelly helped us out and we got to have samples with little pieces of bread. I forgot the exact names, but I tried the olive oil "with a little spice and kick" and the olive oil that "was like butter". Both were so good- but my absolute favorite was LIKE BUTTER, she was Not wrong. It's hard to find good quality olive oil that you could just sip on for nutrients if you wanted to. But the best part was pairing the olive oil with the balsamic. They imported it straight from Italy. It was like dessert (in the best way possible). We learned a lot about Tehachapi and how she started it and it is just heart warming to hear the story. She's also the first one to plant and produce a very good Malbec. The tasting consisted of a rosé, Cabernet, Merlot and Malbec. She served this with cheese, crackers and local chocolates! The ranch also has AirBNB rooms so be sure to check out her website for availability. Women owned, local and full of love. You can taste that in the product. During this weekend trip, I also visited 2 other wineries but I can tell you hands down, this was an absolutely memorable stop. I highly recommend stopping by here if you're passing by.
