Karen is a Sommelier, she worked at The Cellar for years and was the Wine Buyer for Cafe Med. The Theme for this Ladies wine tasting event was Red, White & Blue. It was a summer picnic type of atmosphere. Upon checking in we received A glass of Sparkling Blanc de Rose' by Blanc de Bleu. The bubbles were so refreshing on a warm Bakersfield evening. We were served Two still French Rose's, Vin de Provence AIX from Provence and Cape Bleue Rose' by Jean Luv Colombo of France. Next was a Spanish white wine Abarino by Lagan D Cervera. Then going back to South of France to slip into something red with Syrah Grenache by Cote' Mas. We finished with a Red Blend of Monastrel, Cabernet Sauvignon & Syrah by Juan Gil. The wines were delicious! What a fun evening was had by all! On the Vine has a very casual and welcoming ambiance. They serve wine, beer and snacks. They also have Taco Tuesday's. Most importantly No snobs allowed! I love this place!

Strolling through the charming vendor booths was such a treat; I left with candles, cookies, fresh sourdough, and salsas. There's something so special about supporting local artisans in a setting that feels both intimate and beautifully curated. We strolled over for brunch and the Breakfast Panino was outstanding: soft ciabatta layered with prosciutto, provolone, a fried egg, arugula, parmesan, and truffle oil, each bite perfectly balanced and indulgent. The unlimited mimosa offering sounded tempting, though the champagne itself fell a bit short. Still, with sweeping ranch views, gentle spring air, and warm, welcoming energy, this east-side gem feels like a serene escape, elegant yet comforting, a gorgeous Sunday morning well spent.

I bought some candles, coffee, pastries, and hair accessories. We went inside the building and it was so gorgeous ! Everyone is so nice and lovely. We decided to get a tamale, mimosa, and a spicy Caesar salad! The food is amaaazing. Not bland and great for lunch. We also got to experience wine tasting and bought a bottle. Overall, this was a great experience and beautiful ranch to explore.

The tasting is $15 for 4 wines made by them. The owner Ilda Vaja is so passionate about it she calls it a very expensive hobby. And I can't imagine what it takes to plant, care for, produce and bottle the wine every year. She was the sole managing person here this particular Friday and man was it such a fun conversation we had. We learned a lot about Tehachapi and how she started it and it is just heart warming to hear the story. She's also the first one to plant and produce a very good Malbec. The tasting consisted of a rosé, Cabernet, Merlot and Malbec. She served this with cheese, crackers and local chocolates! The ranch also has AirBNB rooms so be sure to check out her website for availability. Women owned, local and full of love. You can taste that in the product. During this weekend trip, I also visited 2 other wineries but I can tell you hands down, this was an absolutely memorable stop. I highly recommend stopping by here if you're passing by. I promise you the wine is great, the views and the person behind this winery are phenomenal. We ended up taking home 5 wines. During the week make an appointment. But weekends you can just stop by.

Even the owner goes out of their way to be kind, personable, and welcoming. Their wines are amazing and delicious. Very high quality, and very reasonably priced. They regularly create new styles and batches, so definitely ask what's new when you visit. They also host fun special events that make the experience even better. One thing I really love is that you can bring in your own food. They do also offer charcuterie boards that are absolutely delicious, although they sometimes sell out because they're so popular. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and truly feels like home. Everyone here is genuinely friendly, which is rare to find these days. I always leave in a better mood than when I arrived. Highly recommend. p.s. Make sure your GPS gives you the right address. Occasionally, it will take you to the wrong location.

I can't believe it took us this long to finally go because WOW! First of all, Todd and Melanie are the sweetest. So welcoming, so friendly, and just genuinely great hosts. They made the whole experience feel relaxed and special without trying too hard. The atmosphere completely transported me. It felt like we were in Paso Robles or Temecula on a random cozy wine night. Dim lighting, great energy, amazing pours. Ugh! such a vibe 10/10. For wine, I had two glasses. The NV Malbec and the 2023 Rosé of Pinot Noir. The Malbec was 100% hands down my favorite. Bold, smooth and packed with flavor..... just how I like my wine! The rosé was crisp and refreshing too. Anyway, if you love good wine and great service, this place is a total hidden gem. We'll definitely be back for more wine!

The place got packed pretty quickly so it was hard to move around. For the most part people just hang out at their table. The great part is that you can bring your own food and they have nice live music ( think Hotel California, and California Dreamin type of tunes). The crowd is mature and laid back. I like that people could bring their dogs and let them walk around, but in the back of my mind I was worried about stepping on someone's paw or in a puddle of #1. Luckily that didn't happen. The owners are really nice said they're expanding so that's great news. They have a nice selection of wine. On their paper menu. Tip- scan their QR code and you'll find more drinks- my group stuff two bottles of wine but I believe I saw someone drinking a glass of sangria? Nice to have a spot like this in town to relax and BYOF.
