Hidden gem in a warehouse behind Home Depot. Great beer selection. We visited at the lunch hour but there was no food truck, so we hit up the local bakery for a sandwich. Great service, nice open air seating, even tho it was warm, it was nice to sit outside. I had the Hazy & Juicy which was fruity and delicious. The staff was kind and attentive. Had a flight of 5 beers and was very pleased with the selection. Also had sodas for the younger people in our group. We were there for around 3 hours, the seats were comfortable, and we never felt like we were being rushed. A fun and very inclusive place to hang with friends. Taproom features many beers on draft and in cans for on site consumption or to go. We tried four different beers on a flight, the girl working behind the bar was nice and the beers were ok. Went there Sunday afternoon and it was pretty empty. Super friendly gal that works there greeted you as you walked in. She is new but sweet and personable. I think the vibe is fine for a brewery but obviously there are many that are way better. I like the choices they had that day and went home with the Double IPA "Call Me Vangough".. I might be a brewery snob since I live near Anaheim, but this place is dog friendly and has all that you need in this small town. read more

Local Craft Brewery is a hidden gem in the mountains! We dropped by on the Sunday of Memorial Weekend after visiting Death Valley (really need a cold one), about an hour before closing, and to our surprise, we were the only customers there. We were greeted by an incredibly friendly server (we didn't catch her name), but she definitely added a cheerful vibe to our visit. The ambiance of the brewery is cozy yet cool, with a rustic industrial feel. The beer menu is pretty extensive, offering a diverse range of styles that cater to every palate. We got 2 flights, and here's a quick rundown: (1) Corvo Nitro Coffee Stout (I mean who can resist a nitro stout??) This is my must stop on the way to Big Bear from Monterey. They typically have a ton of taps going with high quality hazy double IPAs and sour heavily fruited "slurshy" beers. On the latest trip it was freezing so I tried a coffee stout made with Corvo coffee. It rang in at 8% which is typical of a LCB beer. They like to test the higher ABVs and their cooler is usually stocked with a Triple IPA or three. On this latest trip I really scored with a freshly stocked fridge with Red fruit roll up Sour (had never had one but wow!), Tangerine sour, and two different Hazy Double IPAs. The "This Label Sucks" IPA was one of the better beers I've had in a long time. I am not exaggerating when I say that we time our trips to coincide with their opening hours. I trade these with friends who have now begged me to bring them back beers on our trips back. Don't miss this spot!! read more

Local Craft Beer, also going by the abbreviation of LCB. I had the Hop Bender, the can art is definitely referencing the character Bender from Futurama. This is a triple New England IPA coming in at 10% ABV so it's leans more towards the stronger side. This beer has hoppiness (of the dry flavored sort) and tropical flavors. A decent New England IPA but not necessarily the most memorable as so many breweries have taken this route and it's hard to distinguish between one IPA from one brewery vs. that of another. Though the New England style still holds my interest more than the usual IPA. Despite my critical opinion the Hop Bender is refreshing in of itself and would be a very suitable match with a fresh slice of pizza or nachos. read more

I came to Tehachapi for 4th of July weekend. I decided to meet with a friend while in town but I needed a dog friendly place that would be a nice place to relax and catch up with my friend. Breweries are great places for both! And we decided on LCB. The young lady at the bar was very friendly and helpful! We decided to share a flight of some hazy IPAs. Every single of one of them were good! It was perfect for the hot day. We didn't order food as there wasn't a food truck at that moment but we had gotten there early. Afterwards, we both decided to buy a can. My friend bought a 4pk and gave me one. I wish I could remember the name of the beer but it had OJ Simpson on it. I tell you, that was one of the best IPAs I've had. I will definitely be back again! read more

Amazing find! I traipsed through 5oz servings, so I could get a feel for everything, except IPA. Which I dislike. They several of those. I would presume of quality equal to those I did taste. Blonde Ale, which was almist kolsch-like. Lightly floral and herby. Not overpoweringly so, but just enough to cut the dust, from the road, and prep the palate, for other tastes. Next was the Nut Brown ale. Loved this one. Rich, smooth, unexpected spice note (cardamom?) Had the Chocolate Nitro Stout, and the Porter. All in cute 2oz glasses. I decided to have a full pint of the Nut Brown Ale, because it is a unique, hauntingly refreshing brew. What a find. I will def, be back. read more

A must-stop if you're in the Tehachapi area, the name doesn't get any more literal. It's hard to find, so follow your GPS and don't doubt yourself when you come to a series of warehouses, because this brewery is the one in the back. There are no food services, just some pretzels provided for free though there are some small bags of chips for sale. I appreciate the organization and information on the chalkboard, listing all the beers they have, ABV, IBU and what size you can get them in with pricing all there. It makes selecting a few beers for a flight tasting easy to put together. The two beers I really liked were the bourbon barrel aged stout with cacao nibs and the birthday cake that has its own unique sweetness. Disappointed that my crawlers were flat after a week of purchase, Amy said they would last perhaps the fill or seal was off? To be honest, I'm not all that familiar with crawlers, but it all worked out because my friends weren't picky and at least they got the flavor of these far away beers. read more

Stopped in just to check things out. They welcomed us in and there was lots of space and seating. There was only a few people when we arrived. Everyone was super friendly and we were able to taste prior to choosing and we finally made our choice on what we wanted. I really enjoyed our visit. If you haven't stopped in to support a local business please do. It wasn't hard to find at all. Behind the home Depo, there is a small street that takes you back to the business. Everything was clean and plenty of space if you want to be separated due to the current situation. I know we will stop in again when we are in the area. read more

This brewery makes amazing beers. It's out of the way so I only come when I'm passing through somewhere else, and I'm driving so I've only picked up cans to go. It's located on a side street in an industrial area, it took me a minute to find the first time. Their in a big warehouse building, nothing to look at from the outside, gravel road and driveway and not really actual parking spaces. It feels really cavernous inside, not too much going on. A pretty bar greets you as you walk in, there's a laaaarge number of beers on tap. I need to remember to bring my growlers to fill up. But really, no worries; their cans and bottles to go are FRESH. The crowd here is not diverse - another reason I'm ok taking my stuff to go. Staff can be more friendly than other times, I'd be more picky about this if I was sitting down to enjoy a pint. Overall, LCB is a gem out in Tehachapi. I thought I read recently they have a brewer from Fresno now, so I'm crossing my fingers that they expand distribution up here. I used to come here for trivia with friends, but many of us had zero cell signal and so we stopped coming. I would try to support them at local restaurants that do have cell service or wifi, but this brewery doesn't offer their beers locally. I don't understand this at all. Very simple place, friendly service at the bar. Family owned. Laid back brewery and you can come as you are (caters to many area hikers)... this is a small place where 2 garage doors go up and voila! Open for business. However, clean. Thankfully, there was another option for me besides beer - a wonderful "cheeky puppy" sour cherry on tap. Delicious and refreshing. The guys loved their beer, the red was a hit. You can sit at the bar or pull up a seat against the long, cool looking, wood window table where you would then go to the bar and order your drinks yourself. This place is very chill and a little difficult to find. It is in a row of warehouse type buildings. They have lukewarm water and pretzels so you can help yourself before ordering at the bar. Your choices of brews are on a large chalkboard. Four of us came in on Saturday for some flights. The lady at the bar is not the friendliest and seemed overwhelmed. She seemed bothered by our questions. We tried a blonde, coffee stout, lager, orange hef, and a few others. What is unusual is that you can order a blonde, for example, and add a fruit puree to the brew like guava or blood orange. I had never seen that done before. Great idea! I've stayed in Tehachapi for work trips many times and am kicking myself for never stopping by here! The beer is delicious and their servers are awesome.
