But if you can dodge the lunatics, there is much beautiful landscape and nature to appreciate. Parking can be tricky; there are only a few spots that are free. Check with the Visitor's Center and purchase a permit if you plan to stay a while.

Amazing, beautiful, and a wonderful photo opportunity. It is 3 hours from the San Diego area but worth it if that is what you are looking for, to explore Sand Dunes. The Pacific Ave Athletic Complex (PAAC) went up about a month or so ago, and triggered my curiousity after seeing the construction, plus how it's lit up at night while baseball games go on...hmmm...let's check it out. Went there mid morning...here's what I saw... - Ample parking - A man-made lake with rentable gazebo's by it - Nicely kept baseball fields, electronic scoreboards, very tall fence-thingies (sorry, I'm writing this review late at night)...the places to sit were like concrete slabs...but decent! And under some sort of shade -An age appropriate playing area - A shaded snack area (no ATM's, maybe cash only) - Plenty of overhead lights for those night games Reviews on Google say no outside food allowed or they have certain fees...not sure about that. I guess people don't mind as it seems busy on evenings and nights. Yuma needed this so...here it is. Worth checking out.

Glamis &…read moreGordons Well have several camping areas, as well as promising days of fun & great riding for all levels. My review is mainly about Gordons Well, but I mention Glamis too. Glamis is considered the north side of the dunes, while Gordons Well is on the south side. Its an easy ride along the Sand Highway which connects the two if you want to go from one to the other ; About an hour or two depending on speed, stops, and whatever. Gordons Well is just 36 miles past El Centro, with a clearly marked exit. If you are dry camping, you will be at Dune Buggy Flats on the north side of I-8, or on the south side of the freeway at Buttercup, or Midway. Ogilby is just up a bit further. If you want a hassle free desert experience, try pulling in at McMillins RV Campground. I have been keeping my Toyhauler at McMillins RV Campground year round for the last four seasons. I like the full hookups. Camp Manager Brit Ford & his wife Ava, have maintained the camp on site for the last 15 yrs. There are a lot of desert people who do the same as I do, and some just stay for the season between Oct.1st thru May 31st., either way, its great to not have to haul your toys & RV back and forth. They also offer RV storage for the season, orvyear round. Overniters are welcome and they have shower & laundry facilities as well. Pets are welcome, but need to be leashed. They have ice & firewood available too. I like knowing that my trailer is in a safe, well maintained park. Next door is the former Pair-A-Dice diner, bar, & parts store, now known as Duners Diner. The new owner has a great , friendly staff, the outside eating area is nice, and the place serves breakfast, lunch & dinner on the weekends during Desert Season, and attracts a crowd at times. One of my favorite moments at Gordons Well is the Sand Drags. Racers of Sand Cars, Dirtbikes, Quads & SidebySides start lining up around 3pm and go til' dusk. This is big during holiday weekends, CRAZY FUN, but the Sheriffs & Rangers are out there trying to keep things safe too. Okay, thats my two cents worth!

They are attentive, respectful, mindful, thorough, and consistent. The psychiatrist I saw was willing to listen to my mental problems and I think June the therapist was a very sweet lady there to just listen which I can always appreciate. I really like the dentist I see. She and the assistants make me feel comfortable and they seem non judgemental. I have the nastiest teeth for a 32 year old. Tsk tsk on me. The substance abuse counselor, Mr. Felix was such a breath of fresh air. He went at my pace and we set realistic goals for my road to recovery. I will always choose their services over anyone else's except I'm in a program which means I have to see my program's psychiatrist only. Very good people and professional :)

Why have an overpriced RV choice if its just an afterthought. The pictures on website were deceiving, no blacktop parking lot spaces on there. I could've been in a Wal-Mart parking lot.

The night lady. She's from old regime before current one, and they had a mean cruel reputation like dropping people's cats miles away. She stalked us for a month then called the guy I rent from with long list of false statements, landlord said office called but did not. It was the nighttime security lady. Told my personal biz to a man I've only known 3 weeks. She thinks it's hers maybe? She slandered me and pinned shenanigans from another's bday party. She said we were yelling we are lesbians down the streets. I don't identify that way but what if I did? And I don't, no biggie, but we got profiled. A few tats and no men in the group??? Is this 2025 or 1952. She follows us harasses us, parks under our open window to listen to conversations. She can't hear but we can when she takes off fast when we go to the porch. We had no complaints at office and they were embarrassed to even have to say we welcome all here. She shined flashlights in our eyes in the pool because we didn't have a golf cart???and pretended she didn't know who we are. We've met her and she called landlord. I came to relax and she has ruined my rightful enjoyment of these premises. Peace=privacy. Stay tuned for an update if she continues or is let go. I love the park and am hoping they make the right choice. I'm concerned she confused us with a different group. You know, all us lesbians look alike.
