Started my son here when he was 2.5, barely able to speak more than dada and more, not potty trained and overall just a kid looking for friends. We just left for TK he's about to be 5 and he is still speech delayed (in ST) but can talk better than ever before, fully potty trained (courtesy of Mrs Shelley whose gone now) and had many friends at this school. On top of that he knows his alphabet, can write all his letters and numbers, can count to 30, can follow simple directions etc. This school changed my son's life for the better, he had his ups and downs here but overall I was soooo pleased and would send any future kids here. read more

We are happy we chose RHS for our daughter. She attended another school (Montessori locally) and there is no comparison. Wow! In a short time our daughter has learned so much. We are so impressed with how her vocabulary has increased, using her words properly, she talks about science at home and so much more. The teachers do an amazing job keeping us posted on her day in class and her participation... The staff and the principal are a very well invested in the students. This is such a traditional school and we couldn't be happier. My only regret is not finding this school earlier. I wish our daughter started here at an earlier age. My daughter has been attending RHS since 2021 and I couldn't be happier. Her teacher Ms. Jazmine, Ms. Jazz, Ms.Shelly and Mr. Hal take such excellent care of my baby and all the children at the daycare. Since he has started at RHS she has grown by leaps and bounds. She is extremely excited every morning when we drop her off due to all the different activities they have scheduled throughout the day. I really love this school for my daughter. I have had amazing communication from both the principal and the staff/teachers regarding my daughter's transitions, dietary needs and behavior. My daughter struggled to find her voice and self in other schools prior to RHS, and I was worried that she wouldn't find a place where she feels heard and safe, but the staff and her teacher Ms. Jasmine, have been so loving and tentative with her, even in moments where she is overstimulated and has opted into a tantrum. She has only been attending a couple of weeks now, and I see a difference in her behavior for the better. Every day is a new day. She is learning and growing, trying new foods, and starting to spell words. I receive daily pictures and videos which I love! The school has an open door policy for parents and a flexible schedule that allows me to keep connected with my little girl and be assured she will benefit from the social and academic engagements she receives. If your child is problematic, just remember it is first and foremost a reflection of your own household and ability to nurture your own child's needs and offer them a safe space to show emotion is managed ways. Not every child is a good fit if they have needs to be met at home first. It's not the responsibility of the staff to raise your children, only to expand on good habits and tools necessary for their development. My daughter and I have full and open communication where she feels safe to talk and express her emotions. If anything ever was out of line at this school, I would be made aware. RHS is an amazing school!!! They have incredible staff and each and every staff member/teacher TRULY cares about ALL the children that attend. They are navigating COVID protocol/procedures seamlessly. I feel VERY safe and secure having my kids attend. My oldest (5) is in TK with Alta Loma. His daycare (who helps with distance learning) closed for a month. Both my husband and I work. We (like most parents) panicked and contacted RHS to see if they had the means to support our son and provide childcare. Thankfully they were and did an amazing job!!! Both my children need interaction with other children and RHS provides this and so much more with complete safety. One of the things I also absolutely LOVE is the brightwheel app they use to help me stay connected with the school and my children. Throughout the day I am able to message if I need (they get back to me within minutes). They send me updates on meals/snacks, naptimes, videos, pictures of my kids having THE BEST time interacting and learning. I have a 5 and 3 year old sons. It's been about 2 years they have attended. I tell everyone about this school. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RHS TO EVERY FAMILY! read more

I wanted to wait until my daughter had gone to this school for a couple months before I wrote a review. I like this school. The teachers are great, the staff is nice, and the facility is clean. I worried about some of the reviews on here from 2013 so, before enrolling my daughter, I called the health department and had them send me the last year of audits and outcome. I then checked myself, to make sure the complaints, mainly pertaining to cleanliness and "rodent" issues has been resolved. They had and since coming here, I personally have not seen any issues. I also would not keep my daughter in a school if I saw a issue with this. My daughter has learned so much since attending This school and she really enjoys going to school. They have a well rounded academic program they allow for outdoor play time and a lot of physical activity. The price was good to me. I was not looking for cheapest nor did I want most expensive. I do think for the quality it is a good price. The teachers are always very very loving and kind with her. They all have calm nurturing type personalities. This is important to me because I do not want to send my daughter somewhere that has a high stressed teacher. My daughter really enjoys the hot lunches. I was surprised there were not more reviews on here and then I saw most of their reviews fell into the not recommended. I was nervous about the whole covid 19 but this school has made me feel really good and comfortable. My daughter is learning so much and the staff is kind and helpful. They include all meals and I get notifications throughout the day of the meals and snacks my daughter has. All the ladies in the office are sweet and the lady that cleans is constantly moping and spraying to keep the kids safe. read more

I want to start of by saying that the teachers at this school are ALL amazing. With the exception of the principal Hal. I don't have anything nice to say about him or the way he runs his school. So I'll keep it PG here. My child has learned so much from the curriculum that this school has. They have A LOT of structure and this was helpful for my son. This school is great if your child sits, listens, and doesn't give the school a hard time. The communication between teachers and the principal is horrible. So don't expect much. I would get my child's "daily" and it said he had a "great day" and the next day the principal would tell me otherwise. If you're child is well behaved and doesn't give the school a "headache" or isn't a liability....this school is for you! Unfortunately(or fortunately depends how you see it), my child isn't "normal" like others. He speaks his mind, will throw a tantrum, occasionally throw toys, etc. (Isn't that what 3 year olds do?) Since they can't put your child in any sort of "emotional distress" by putting your child in time out or telling them that that are in trouble, they just tell you your child is in a lot of danger and for YOUR CHILD'S own safety you are no longer welcomed. If multiple teachers from their own school comes to you and speaks badly about the school they are working for and by that I mean the Principal Hal, there's something terribly wrong. No parent should ever have to hear that the teachers are not happy about the decisions this principal makes. Nor do you want to hear that the principal talks bad about your child. I was sad to have to leave this school but after enrolling my child at another school I realized that this was the best thing that could have happened. My child is happy at this new school AND GUESS WHAT?! There are no more "rough days". He loves his school and is doing great ! AWESOME SCHOOL ! My daughter has been going to this school since she first turned 2 years of age. I took her out for a few months for summer break, and now she's back. First week as a Preschooler. I'm so very happy she is back in school because i definitely noticed a difference over this summer. Awesome choice in school for structure and constant brain stimulation. I should have done more research before enrolling my son. He attended this school for a year, while I waited for the waiting list of another school to open up. We had numerous issues, and yet we continued to stick it out and hope for an improvement. They have a high staff turn over and the teachers openly complain to the parents about the administration and class sizes and their inability to properly supervise. When my son first started he was not potty trained and several times he was not changed all day. He developed a rash from sitting in his feces all day. As soon as he was potty trained and became acclimated, staff members quit and the classes were moved around. For the first month he attended, they called him by the wrong name. He has a food allergy that was disclosed and they continued to feed it to him. The classrooms are dirty and smell like urine. They are at max capacity and crying children are left alone to self-soothe. The final straw was when my child complained he had been hit by a teacher. Of course it could have been a misunderstanding, but considering the cameras don't record, there's no way to prove it. I would never recommend this place. All the teachers here are fantastic! My personal favorites are Ms. Yasamin & Ms. Blanca. My son was in Ms. Yasamin's class and he loved it. he has learned so much and has enjoyed learning. Ms. Yasamin went to teach another class but my son still has daily interaction with her. His current teacher Ms. Amy is very good as well, I love the crafts that he does and the practice of writing and he is only 3 years old. read more

Both of my daughters go here and love it. The staff is very caring. The staff seem to know each child and it is nice to see the kids greeted by all of the staff on a first name basis. Both of my girls say they like their teachers and look forward to going to school. I checked out several schools before decided on Rancho Heritage and I am glad that I made the right decision. We switched my kids over to Rancho Heritage from another local preschool and are so impressed! The teachers are well-educated, more than most schools, and are very professional. We felt like we were paying too much for our kids to just play all day before, but at Rancho Heritage they're really learning. We love that they're a true preschool and are curriculum-based. How should I start this. This school is so over priced for where it is that when they sucker you in and give you all there lies you believe them. My three year old absolutely loves this school. When he wakes up in the morning he is excited about going to school and when I go pick him up he doesn't want to leave! He loves his teacher and so do I. He has received lots of one on one attention from his teachers and his progress shows. In one month I have seen great improvements in my son academically as well as socially. I searched schools for about a month and feel I have made the right decision in picking rancho heritage as my sons first school. I love that he is loving to learn.... Our son has been enrolled in Rancho Heritage for almost a year now. He absolutely loves it! He looks forward to going to school and talks frequently about his teachers and the staff there. Miss Yasamin and Miss Amy are so wonderful and work directly with our son. We are also very familiar with the other teachers/staff such as Miss Jennifer, Miss Blanca and Miss Marlene, each of whom are consistently positive and welcoming. Each person that we have come into contact with has been professional. The curriculum appears to be appropriate. Our son is certainly being stimulated. My husband and I have noticed that the facility is lacking a bit in overall cleanliness. This is an area where we would love to see improvement. This school is crawling with roaches. I would see them mainly in the mornings but they were everywhere! The teachers are constantly changing. They have some amazing teachers but the problem is no one wants to stay. The principal is almost nonexistent. He is always hiding out in his office and only appears when he needs to dictate to his employees what he wants done. I would NOT recommend this school to anyone looking for a preschool to put their child in. Oh, and last year they left a student outside in the playground that was only to be returned by a passerby who found him outside crying. read more

True to their mission statement of a "creative, stimulating, clean and safe environment for children to grow physically, intellectually, and emotionally" (RHS Handbook) they have been exactly that. When I first decided to enroll my son, they were welcoming and gave me a complete tour and instruction process of the curriculum and what classroom my son would be placed in. This place is amazing and the best in the area. The staff is professional, friendly and always welcome. The teachers actually are required to hold a degree in education and have previous experience as well, an A plus in my book. I wanted my son to learn and not just play all day outside (if he played all day I would just keep him home with me and teach him home school) but here he is learning among his peers and is learning a lot more here then he would with me, and they do an amazing combination of fun and learning. I even got the opportunity to watch what my so did in class, He is moving around in the classroom interacting with the teacher and students during the learning exercise, they also have circle time and reading time and play time. The teacher also provides a daily report of what they read, learned ate and how well he did that day. This helped me extend his lessons at home to the days he was not going which is helpful for him to grasp more of the concepts at home and incorporate them in the classroom. This school also provides a wholesome breakfast, lunch snacks through the day at appropriate times at no extra charge. I also know he is learning because he came home the other day and actually told me how he learned the life cycle of a butterfly, he is only 2 1/2 years old and he told me it all so clearly. Pretty amazing how my son has grown intellectually, socially and in his communication skills have improved in just as little as three weeks. They also keep the facility safe, and not just anyone can come and get my son without my knowledge. The play ground is also safe, clean and gated. I will always recommend this school. read more

Great school! It is difficult to trust anyone with your child and feel as though they were getting the affection that they need. I came from a horrible school where my son would scream for me not to leave and he would sit by himself. He was only there for three days. Going to another school gave me anxiety. I found that the teachers were caring and always willing to work with me and keep me involved in his everyday behaviors. Yes some teachers have come and gone, working daycare is a stepping stone for some professionals. But Hal has hired amazing staff. My son was delayed in his speech and was difficult to communicate with. When he was not able to express himself he would cry, as that was the only way he can communicate his frustrations. Hal and the teacher never got frustrated they worked with him and learned to communicate with him. He has grown so much not only in academics but with the basic social skills. . One of the best things is they would have dance and song performances a few times a year. They would have all the students sing and dance in a themed performance. The families were invited to join in refreshments after wards. This was all part of the program and a great way to bring families together. Thank you for loving my son. read more

I can't attest to the facility as a whole since my daughter was never enrolled there. I can only speak to my experience with the enrollment process which is akin to applying to Harvard, if Harvards admissions office was ever a disorganized dictatorship. I went to this office every work day for five days and still couldn't get my 3 year old enrolled. I finally gave up, went to another preschool that we liked a lot, gave them the exact physician form, vaccination record, everything we gave Heritage and, what do you know...She was enrolled immediately without incident. I can only figure that either other Heritage Parent's have more patience than I or that the principal simply didn't want my daughter to attend that school. The process was a needlessly complicated hot mess and a total waste of time. No cohesive admission packet with a list of required items, just a bunch of "oh hey we are still missing this." And "oh did you ever fill this one out?" There is written policy Parent's are asked to sign which is no longer in practice, and (my personal favorite) administrative staff who cannot resend a fax that was never received without authorization from the principal as he is the only one allowed access to the fax machine. My son has been attending RHS for over a year now. We really like the school as he has learned a lot and keeps impressing us every day. The school is very focused on education, which is very important to us. My 3 year old gets homework every week. I think it's good to get him used to it before he starts elementary school. Ms. Yasamin and Ms. Marlene are great teachers. They really care about the kids and treat them wonderfully. The reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the teacher turn over is relatively high and the school could use some sprucing up. Other than that, we really like RHS and recommend it to parents who want their children to not only have fun but learn a lot as well. read more

It is hard to find a preschool, less than what Rancho Heritage charges especially when they have an excellent academic program. My daughter has been attending for two years and never had a problem. They are the most caring people you could find. By the way you cannot expect to attend, and not to pay tuition. If you do not pay your rent, you have to move out.
