We moved to the area in February 2025 and were looking for a high rated Montessori school for our 2 years old son. I did a lot of research and it came down to a few schools. We visited Scholarshine and we fell in love with the staff, the curriculum, the environment, and attention to details. We took our son on the school tour when we went and he loved it. I also loved how flexible the hours are, specially with the before and after school programs they offer for working parents. The staff is very communicative and keeps the parents involved and up to date on their kid's needs, progress...etc. They also offer an amazing summer program that keeps the kids hands on..., and they are affordable comparing to the other highly rated Montessori schools in the area. I have my son in Ms. Maria E.'s class along with Ms. Marisol. They have been amazing teachers from the very beginning. My son has officially been here over half a year and he has learned to count and recognize his numbers up to 100 and he has started addition as well. His language development has improved so much being that he came to school primarily a Spanish speaker. Where I have seen the most improvement is in his social development he has loved coming to school from the very beginning and I have to say it's from how welcoming and kind Ms. Maria and Ms. Marisol are to the students they have. Since enrolling my children at Scholarshine Montessori, I've been amazed at how much they've grown and learned. My son's speech has improved so much, and his writing keeps getting better. Terrible Short Experience with Scholarshine Montessori! I Called to set up a tour for my Autistic 4yr old and specifically stated that over the phone with the lady at the front desk, she told us to come the next morning at 10am for a tour. We get there at 9:55 and went to the door rang the doorbell a few times, no one was in the front. She finally came to the door a little after 10am and let us in. Like I said my son is Autistic and you can very much tell when you first look at him, very active and doesn't follow too much direction. She took one look at him and just immediately asked us if he can listen and sit down in a classroom. I was just so shocked that this was her first questions she asked us and of course we said no he's autistic and has trouble with almost anything. She immediately turned us away and said that this wasn't the right place for us. Litereally we were not even there for 5 mins with her and I was upset when we left. I just left there and couldn't believe that and it was just a huge waste of our time to even drive all the way there for basically nothing. I don't know that lady's name in the front office but she was just RUDE!!!!! I never really write Yelp reviews like this but I had to share this ridiculous experince! read more

My son has been attending this Montessori since he was 2 1/2 years old and he is now 5 1/2. The staff is so kind and my son loves his teachers Ms Feri and Ms Miral. I appreciate the teachers patience, kindness, and care for my child. The program is so thoughtful and I love the kid activities year round such as Fall Harvest festival, Trunk n Treat, Class Winter Performance, End of Year performance and the thematic summer weeks. My son has been going since he was two and is about to turn three. My experience has been a positive one. I will start with his care. My son wears diapers and has never had a diaper rash. I have arrived at different times to pick him up, and he's always clean. I'm informed of any injuries even if it's a scratch ( which I really appreciate). Academically, my son has grown so much. He has a speech delay, but it hasn't stopped him from learning. He is thriving there. He recognizes all of his colors, shapes, letters, and numbers up to twelve. This is going to be a very long read! I'm coming back to update my review being that my child is still a student here and my youngest is now a student! And again I have nothing but great things to say about this place. First off, from the front office staff to the teacher and assistants they are all the absolute best! Ms. Olga, the director is very friendly and helpful in every way possible. I look forward to her greetings and our little conversations we have on a daily basis. Ms. Karen you are something special, always has a smile and we always laugh during our interactions! Now let's talk about the teachers! Ms. Maria E. and Ms. Marisol again they are a force to be reckoned with! They don't play when it comes to education and the children being on task. When it's time to work then it's work time when it's time to play then play on. They are both so nurturing and they treat my child like she is their own. Ms. Maria is so sweet, very easy to talk to, and her communication is very open. She definitely will make sure that your child is ready for kindergarten. Ms. Marisol and I can talk about absolutely any and everything and we laugh all the time together. She is equally sweet and communicates very well with the progress of my child and what she needs to work on. Both of these teachers truly has my child's best interest at heart and will push her to her full potential. Ms. Maria G. And Ms. Elvira, they are the 2-3 year old teachers and hands down I give my props to them. It takes so much patience to be with several 2-3 year olds! They are truly rocking it with so much grace! I've always had a great relationship with Ms. Maria G. when my first daughter was in her class and still to this day with my second daughter. Both of my girls were so attached to her because of the vibe she gives off. Again the communication is so on point. My 3 year old is speaking in such clear sentences and using words I didn't even know she could say and knows the meaning of. The curriculum in her class is outstanding! Ms. Elvira rocks! She knows how to really work with kids and she is by their side at all times ready to assist when needed. I am dreading the day that my youngest will no longer be in this class. But I plan on still dropping in for a quick hello and chit chat. I know my daughters are in very safe hands when I drop them off at school. After experiencing a great school prior to this school. Mind you with no issues when it comes to our children. The other wonderful school with caring teachers closed down. I ended up sending my child here. Negatives: Both teachers we tried were not attentive to our children, Judgmental, heartless to say the least. Not counting their helpers both ladies were super sweet. When my child was in diapers he would always have diaper rashes from the first teacher. The second teacher once my child was potty trained all she did was judge my child, told me straight out that when he would cry she would put my child aside and ignore him cause she couldn't take it. That this was not the school for my child. This teacher was trying to diagnose my child without any medical knowledge. My child started having tantrums often after attending this school. After speaking with the teacher now I know why. My child was being neglected. Now that he's home he's a total different child. Several times I went to go pick up my child they were watching movies. That he can do at home. All he learned here was the days of the week song after going here for a couple of months. The only positive person in their staff is Ms. Olga who is in the front desk. But after me complaining to her so much about the care my child would get and how judgmental both teachers were. There wasn't much she could do. My husband and I decided to take our child out and look else where. read more

I had read about Montessori schools and I was interested in taking my granddaughter there. She is a little more active than your average two-year-old.. and assigned to miss Maria's class .. the first week was great , no complaints but the second week I took her she had scratches on her face .. Miss Maria informed me it was from the wood chips in the playground when I started to complain she made it seem like if it was my grandchild's fault for playing with the wood chips she informed me, the wood chips were toxic and she was eating them. I asked her why she wasn't she sent to the emergency room,and why are there toxic wood chips on playground if there toxic .. the following week we were told she was no longer welcome in the school and we should look for another school instead of the director being concerned that the teacher allowed her to play with the toxic wood chips and scratched her face with them .. to me this is abusive and I say this because you should have seen how scratched my granddaughter's face was she even had spots were blood came through the scratches it was bad and this happened on a Thursday an she didn't go to school to the following week when she was kicked out the only pictures I have are from her jacket that were full of wood chips. I don't believe that she scratched her face this badly just by playing with wood chips. I believe something else happened that I am not aware of , it has to be more .. my granddaughters attitude has changed since this happened to her, that is the only evidence I have an an FYI I was already looking for other schools because of the situation read more

If you are looking for quality childcare and education look no further. The staff at Scholarshine Montessori are definitely top notch. I have both my son and daughter enrolled here (2 years now) and have experienced superb care and interactions with everyone. My kids also love going to school which is a good sign. My son is enrolled in Mrs. Maria's class and is doing great. He has learned so much with her and I can definitely see him progressing daily. She is patient with the kids and has a good grasp on what the children need. My son just turned 3 and knows his letters, numbers, and many songs. We also recently started potty training at home and when we took him to school no longer wearing diapers Mrs Maria continued doing what I was doing at home. He got it all down in about two weeks with hard work at home and school (thank you Mrs Maria). My daughter is with Mrs Cathy in her 1st grade class and absolutely loving it. She is always excited to go to school and learn. My daughter is excelling at reading, writing and math and only 6 years old. I'm so proud of my daughter's hard work and thankful to her wonderful teachers that put lots of hard work and dedication in ensuring she gets the best learning experience. This is the first preschool I found for my 3 year old son once I moved to Fontana. I started with the 3 days since my son didn't speak any English. Ms. Feri and Ms. Miral were so kind and made a peaceful atmosphere for my son to adjust and learn and have fun at school. I had to change to the 5 days within few months. My son was so shy therefore always worried if he will do fine. It turns out that he enjoyed every school day with so much enthusiasm in learning. He speaks perfect English now. Starting this new school year, I am sending my daughter who also turned 3. She loves going to school. She is mastering English so fast. I am very thankful to all the teachers and staff for their love towards the children. Enrolled my son in Pre-school last year. He had some anxiety starting a new school since the previous pre school teacher yelled at him. Ms. Maria and Mrs Gomez were very comforting to him. Now he is kindergarten with Mrs Nivine and enjoys going to school. Teachers and staff are very friendly and patient. We had our daughter in this school from preschool thru 2nd grade (3rd grade was not offered). She loved it very much. We loved it so much that our son is now currently enrolled here in preschool and we could not be any happier. Watching him socialize with other kids his age is great. The teachers are very engaged and patient. The class sizes are small enough that I have always felt my kids have/have had a customized education that most importantly to me, teaches my children how to learn. That is a skill that is not a very easy skill to teach or learn. The teachers are easy to work with and the staff has always been helpful, kind and informative. I have had my son enrolled here at Montessori for Pre K and for half of Kinder. He was falling behind in his public school assigned in 2018 at Primrose Elementary and I will definitely thank the Montessori for helping him get back on track even if only 6 months in kinder. I'm so happy about that. I'm happy with the attention the teachers give to each individual child. Two teachers per class and no more than 25 students in each. School is not huge, but staff is friendly and take care of the kids very well. My only reason for not awarding 5 stars is because I do wish for the amount that is paid in tuition that a lunch would be provided or some upgrades done to the school itself to reflect it. This is the BEST preschool and first 2 years of Elementary school my children and grand children have attended! The center is clean and the teachers are kind but maintain a safe and disciplined environment and are GREAT educators. I have had 5 children enrolled in this school, in different level of care and all of them have thrived and learned! Their method is fun and tailored to the child s ability and not focused on age level with allow the child to feel positive regarding their achievement and promote wanting to learn! I am so excited and thankful Montessori accepted my son during this difficult time. My two older boys now 13, went to this Montessori when they were in kindergarten. When they went into public school they were top of there class and continue to excel. My youngest was struggling like most with distant learning and he continued to fall behind, as a parent it hurt to see him struggling knowing that once this pandemic was over he would be expected to have retained all the information given. We started my 3 year old in August. We loved the impression we got during our tour and it has not failed us! All the teachers are so helpful and sweet. My son comes home with lovely things to hang on the fridge and we love the social interaction he is learning there. Due to COVID the check in and check out process is a little cumbersome, but I know everyone is doing their best and I definitely feel that they are following all guidelines to keep everyone safe. Currently a proud parent of this wonderful school since about 2015. The whole staff is friendly, very attentive and conscious of the kids learning needs and development. Though it may not seem as up to date with gimmick type technology compared to other schools that just take the Montessori name (because it is not patented due to Maria Montessori creating a method from facts for the better interest of the children, not to sell a name). And they do a great job of starting that fire in children of learning things while enjoying themselves. Not to mention the student teacher ratio of about 5 to 1 each child gets more thanks enough time if even needed. The only complaint I have about this place is that there's nothing to prepare you to leave. Once your kids complete here your experience with whatever school you decide after this is almost a nightmare. The best thing I love and appreciate at this school is that the 3 times I have enrolled, the group of kids enrolled with mine were just 3 different groups of some pretty awesome kids. Montessori child development has been a part of my family for almost a decade but will last the rest of my little girls life. It's not just a school with teachers working.
