Absolutely divine park- wonderful pool, gym, activity center, and generally a very clean, quiet, and organized park. The one star review is at the expense of the very unkind Manager, Denise. She makes rules for some and none for others, always approaches any issue with a defensive attitude, and is generally very unprofessional and unpleasant to deal with. She makes dealing with her not worth enjoying the beautiful park, unfortunately. She is the equivalent of having a beautiful home but having a horrible HOA manager who doesnt like a single thing you do, and makes your life difficult. Save yourself a headache and travel a bit further to perhaps not as nice, but more kind parks. Other than the manager, wonderful park. If you'd like a good glimpse of her attitude, take a look at her replies to the 1 star reviews on google. Although comical, it's how she acts in person as well. I can already predict that they will respond to this review giving every reason in the book on how they are perfect and it's not there "fault". No one is perfect and the fact they have 4 stars blows my mind. I called to book this park June-September. The person I spoke to pushed me into the most expensive spot. Telling me it was the best they had that would fit my 40ft rig. The price was steep but the way she made it sound, it has patio furniture, super private and just overall the best spot in the park. I trusted that and took the chance on it. When we arrived the "patio furniture" was an extra chair and an umbrella. It had some flowers and was a nice spot. However it's one of few if not only spots the wifi does not work. Don't worry they'll offer you an extender that doesn't work or help the problem. While we were there the bathrooms were being remodeled. That's fine no problem. However once they opened they were so full of ants that they were unusable unless you were willing to have ants crawl all over you. But onto my main issue. The customer service here is horrendous. My truck broke down I had to take it in and it being my only vehicle it was my only transport to and from work. This occurred right before our payment was due. I went to the office and asked for a simple week extension as I was already trying to figure out how I was going to pay for the truck to be serviced so I could get it back. She was snappy,rude and refused to understand that things happen. I ensured her that I could pay by the following weekend. She agreed and said I could pay by the next weekend. I'm not sure what that means to any of you reading this. But to me that means by maximum of Sunday. It was never specified that I would need to be there by Friday as soon as they opened. I was able to get a ride to work on Friday and took the chance so that I could pay them by Sunday as I still didn't have my own vehicle. I get a text message asking when I'll be in to make my payment I let them know Sunday. To which I get a response back that was nothing short but rude. I will provide screenshots below. Saying how if I should have asked if I was confused. Here's the problem I wasn't confused the weekend includes Saturday and Sunday so why would I ask? Because it was somehow my fault that it wasn't specified she tacked on more money to the amount due and refused to renew us for the following month that we had booked. So forcing us to try and find a spot in the summer. If any of you RV enough you understand how truly difficult that can be. I would not recommend. There are a couple of nice people in the office but other than that it was a truly horrendous experience. Also PS: TM review was replied on and incorrect. Denise I never once said money won't be a problem. I felt forced into the spot. Plain and simple. We didn't have an ant problem YOU had the ant problem. And I never made the partial payment a day late. I made that on time. Get your facts straight before making yourself "look better". You mishandled this situation just be honest about it. read more

This is our third year staying at this lovely RV park and we couldn't be more pleased. The setting and the staff are fantastic! From Denise in the office to all of the maintenance people, we are always treated like family. The park is self is very nice, with a seasonal creek/dog run easily accessible by bridge, professional coin laundry, sparkling pool/jacuzzi and other amenities. The park is located in a nice part of East San Diego which we appreciated as we are avid hikers and enjoy the surrounding trails. Since we stay here on a monthly basis and work from our RV, we usually get the upgraded Wifi (fees attached). This level of Wifi is great for doing business and streaming. For the price, location and most importantly, the staff, we would never stay any place else in San Diego! read more

We looked at the online reservation system for a one month period (9/8-10-8). Site 45 was available for that period. We contacted the park to request the spot because the site specifies to call for the monthly rental rate. We were told there "were no spaces to accommodate" during our time period but couldn't explain why the online reservation system showed availability. If you are looking for a shoddy customer service experience with a dose of discrimination, this is your place. read more

We traveled south to San Diego to visit some family and stayed here with our camper trailer. If you are looking for a place to have a loud drunken BBQ party with a bonfire on a Saturday night then this isn't the place for you. If you are looking for a quiet place to sleep that isn't next to the freeway then this is a good place to stay. They have small sites with full hookups. The contest here seem to be folks trying to fit ridiculously large fifth wheels into smallish slots. Make sure to request a pull through spot if you have a larger rig. My trailer is smaller and so there was no problem with parking it. Many trailers here seem to have been here for quite some time, but they all seem to be in good repair and we didn't see any crime issues. I removed one star as the Woman's shower that is further away from the camp office isn't plumbed correctly and a sewage smell is present in that bathroom. The bathroom near the main office does not have this problem. The main showers were the cleanest of any park I've stayed in. It is pretty expensive at nearly $60/night. read more

Ants ants ants! They will tell you they have a slight ant problem, I'm telling you it's major. They don't care about people, they all about the money. So be ready to spend $1500+ on their "luxury" spot then when you're not home they send workers to your spot. How do I know? Because my truck needed service and it ended up taking a month. I didn't have a car for 2 weeks so no income. I talked to the management about giving me a few days and long story short. I got kicked out. The day before I leave my gf goes to work and I stayed home. I watched a employee walk on my spot. Snoop around my trailer doing idk what. When I walked to the office they denied he worked for them. The Maintence manager that it couldn't be a employee cause he was said to be wearing a large hat and they don't wear large hats. As he has one hanging in his golf cart and 2 other employees at that tome were wearing large hats lol. They will lie cheat and steal. It's a shame because it's a nice looking park but looks can be deceiving. DO NOT STAY HERE! read more

A very quiet, peaceful setting away from Highway 8. Jessica and all the staff were friendly and helpful. No bugs, no loud parties, nice guests. I love the heated pool and hot tub, laundry facilities, and trees. I will be back! There is a Walmart, Starbucks, Dennys, Smart & Final, McDonalds, 7-11and Taco Beall nearby, plus 3 gas stations. Reliable Propane will deliver to you. There is no mud because its on large gravel or white concrete and has full hookups. I did not have any ants - just do your dishes and take your trash out each day. read more

Great place to stay! Very nice staff, and accommodating when you need something. This is a beautiful property! I'm glad we chose this place. It feels like a resort even though there is some perms living here. There has been plenty of people traveling through the time I have been here. They have frizz golf, air hockey, pool tables, dart boards, and a clean laundry room. My only complaint would be is on our second night we ended up with a major ant infestation!!! Up the street to Walmart I went to get spray, and the next day the management also sprayed. It took 2 days and they went away! So yes beware they are here so just look around and don't keep your food open or out. We have a dog and her food was out. Other than that our stay has been great and relaxing!! I have been enjoying the pool!! My other half went back a month after our two week stay and he stayed another two weeks and he sprinkled baby powder around the base of the trailer and the perimeter and he never had a problem with ants. It was a few spaces down from where we were before and I guess the people next to him had them. So set up a perimeter. I hear it's just a San Diego problem and not the RV parks fault. They are going to be around at most places just looking for water so be prepared. I am still going to go back here because it's a beautiful place and much better than the rest unless I want to be right along the Ocean. read more

This is a great place to stay in the San Diego area. Not far off I-8, but far enough to be quiet and a nice reprieve from traffic noise. We were there for 8 days. Spaces aren't huge, but they are quite adequate Very well maintained and clean. Very helpful, accommodating, and friendly office staff. We took advantage of the hot tub every evening after our adventures in San Diego. Then used the showers afterwards- which were spotless. (are usually avoid campground showers because they are often not that clean). Had a bit of trouble getting hooked up to the wireless satisfactorily, but worked through it with the office personnel and the service provider and were quite satisfied after that. Needed a repeater in order to get a strong enough signal to our site. My score reflects the successful resolution of a problem, which I think is as important as being totally problem free. My husband left a special hat by the pool and we had left before discovering it missing. I called and they had it- and put it in the mail immediately. Now that's what I call service!! read more

Not only are the grounds littered with trash everyday but this place double charges and tries to sneak in fees that were not previously agreed upon leaving with you an exorbitant total for a lackluster time. Was moved because my 2year old was having a temper tantrum, yes they moved us to a different spot(bigger) but Circuit breaker doesn't work in the new spot they provided needless to say we haven't had heat in 2 days. Over 1,000$ a month to be called on a child who was crying and having a bad day, and moved to a spot with no electricity is not cool. Not kid friendly ... Day 3 no power, They said that maintenance came out to fix the issue this morning with our power and the switch IS STILL BROKEN ! 200$ of foods going bad due to our outlets not working, lying and saying the issues fixed and now it's "our cord" that's broken .. brand new cord ... raining no heat NOT happy do not stay here would no recommend. read more

It's a very woodsy and quiet park which is really nice. The people were very nice and it's going to be our go-to park now. Only downsides were the showers very low water pressure and the creek's foxtails. I had to take my dog over the bridge to the creek so he would poop, don't worry I had bags, he never leaves his mess. Well unfortunately he has hairy feet, yep Fox tail magnets. Even though I checked his feet after each walk and removed the hitch hiking Fox tails, I missed one. It embedded itself into a toe thus causing it to swell up. A bath with epsom salt in the water opened that bump and allowed some draining, but 24hrs later it opened a little more and with a little pressure I was able to remove the offending Fox tail. So my advice to other dog owners who may stay at the park with their dogs, if you go over the bridge, check their paws often or put boots on them. Next time we visit, my dog will be sporting trimmed up paws. read more

So we sold our house in April and started looking for a place to live. We looked at a few apartments then decided that apartment living was just not for us! We decided to buy an RV and started searching for RV parks in our area. We prayed that God would lead us in the right direction and He brought us here there was one spot opening up and it was perfect for our RV. This is such a clean place and the people that work here Denice and Cory are so helpful with. Our neighbors are very respectful and offer help in any way they can. They have a wonderful pool and jacuzzi and also a recreation area and dog park across the creek. So far it's been a great experience. read more

The first few days I was hassled for hanging a few tie-dye bandanas (trying to block out the harsh SoCal sun). I complied after trying to convince the ladies to allow me to hang it but they insisted I buy an "approved" shade cloth. I decided to just bear the sun since I didnt have the extra cash for the shade cloth. Aside from that little incident I loved the park. Their facilities are very clean, the staff ended up being really nice (the lady who was giving me a hard time ended up moving to Oregon after my first week :) Their dog run area is great, they even have a small disc golf course there which I got to take advantage of some. All of the residents there are very friendly, I made more friends there than any other RV park I have lived in thus far on my travels. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a vacation stay or long-term stay. read more

This place has horrible service. Me and my mom wanted to sign up to live here and the lady was completely rude. She handed a paper to us and told us to read the instructions instead of just telling us because she was literally right there . She gave us a attitude for no reason which made my mom frustrated so we left. All we wanted was to sign something to live here. RV Park with 5 tent sites. My tent site (with water/electricity hook ups) was very small in size when compared to other campsite I've been to. Felt like the RV next to us was really on top of us. Pet friendly. They do have a nice pool and playhouse area. Had to bring our own fire pit since they only have a grill at each site. Will not come here again since its more suited for RVs versus tent camping. read more

Had a great stay at Ranchos Los Coches! Site was large, shady & level. Site included a picnic table. Showers in back of park had unlimited hot water. Front desk staff & full-timers at the park were super-nice & friendly. As a precaution, we sprinkled Comet around our site to discourage ants (lady in office said they will crawl up the tires or hose attachments to gain access), but we saw NO ANTS & NO Mosquitoes. The pool, hot tub, play room & laundry facilities were CLEAN & orderly. Laundry was $1.50 for wash & .25¢ per 10 mins of dryer time. The park was close to everything - Sea World, La Jolla Beach, San Diego Zoo, Tijuana. Easy to find, very well laid out, a really great place to stay. We Highly recommend this place and would stay here again in a minute. read more

This RV Park is a diamond in the rough. We full time at another popular RV resort nearby and we needed a place to stay during the "Santee Shuffle". They seem to have availability when other parks don't which is surprising because of how nice the park is. The grounds are well kept. The spots are average size for SoCal and gravel which can be nice. The park isnt gated but still feels safe. The pool is heated and very clean. When we stayed there the indoor gym was closed but they still offered an outdoor gym and ping pong table. The laundry room had more machines then you could wish for and was clean with a seating area. But the best thing about this park is the customer service you will receive there. Denise, the manager made our stay there feel like home. She goes out of her way to create scavenger hunts for the kids. She hides "chippy" a little squirrel figurine in the park and if they find him they even get a prize! Her husband made a tiny fairy garden that my kids loved to visit every day. Denise cares about the people in the park and treats the weekenders like the full time residents. She runs the office very professionally and has staffed it well with kaleigh. We definitely plan on returning to Rancho Los Coches and maybe even staying longer next time. My only complaint were the ants. They were EVERYWHERE. Come prepared with ajax and ant spray. read more

This is a great RV park. We stayed here for the winter. The staff is friendly and helpful. They really took care of us while we were there. The park is beautifully landscaped and a nice little oasis from the city. They have a huge off-leash dog area which our little pup enjoyed. Our site was on an end and we had a paved patio with table. We were pretty close to our neighbor on the other side but we didn't mind. They have WiFi choices so we paid for the faster speed. It wasn't really fast though but luckily I was still able to work from it. I would absolutely stay here again! read more

I've camped here before,a couple years ago. This campground is really clean and the kids love playing by the creek and swimming in the pool. I came here today with 6 kids and they charged me $158 for 2 nights. That's outrageous. $5 extra each child. I will go to Santee Lakes next time. Less expensive and more to do. Don't get me wrong. Absolutely beautiful and perfect campground/RV park. All of the staff was friendly on the phone to make reservations and in person. Ohio residents on a three week road trip to camp California mod June through the forst week of July. We spent 3 days here at the end of our trip and what a breath of sweet fresh air it was for us. The whole facility is beautiful and well maintained. The landscaping and cactus and palms are impeccable. The little church and swing in the hideaway are adorable. The frisbee golf and game room were great additions. Fantastic work out room and laundry facility. The restrooms were clean and well kept up. They required a key for entry so that was an added safety bonus. The pool was sparkling clean and well gated. The deck area was spacious and clean. We were there over the 4th of July so the office was closed but this facility did an excellent job at running itself. You could tell the people there camping valued their experience in the park. There were all kinds of campers and people there, all of which were delightful and polite. Such a relief after Central Coastal California attitudes. We loved everything about this park!! read more

This place is nice! It's very clean. Some of the lots have large metal awnings over them. They make it shady, and, since they are solar panels, cleanly generate electricity. The staff is kind and helpful. The showers were absolutely great. Sparkling clean, spacious, and usually empty. The pool was the same way. I loved the hot tub. So fun! Horrible management. They have park rules that they only enforce on whomever they please. For example, dogs are not to be tethered and left alone, but our neighbors leave their dog unattended. When I complained they said that it was not our business. We can't go to the side of our RV because the dog can reach even though he is on a leach. read more

This is a lovely park that's quiet, with a helpful staff. The work out room, pool, laundry, common areas are nice, clean, and we'll kept. Only thing I don't like is the size of the space. Premium is about 25 feet wide with privacy fence panel on both sides, and on gravel which is noisy and difficult to walk on. Once our slides are out there isn't enough room to open the storage bay under without crouching below the slide. Not fun. read more

Okay, here's the deal, we were traveling from out of state and needed something cheap and simple. Others were like, "$75- for a patch of dirt." Found Los Coaches and they were SUPER NICE, let us enjoy the San Diego sunset, left our registration and shower key on the door, let us pay on the way out the next morning, etc. It's simple but clean and easy and quiet and..... Stayed here for 1 yr. and the neighbors/visitors were great. Some of the dog owners need an education on what is the proper place for their dog to relieve themselves. Letting their dog pee/poop day after day on your spot causes problems when you walk across the rocks and into your RV or vehicle. Not sure why they don't let them pee/poop on their own spot but I guess they don't care. This can also cause a dog hairy problem in the laundry room as a lot of the dog owners wash their dogs bedding in the RV park laundry machines. Always look at the hair/dirt quality of the washer/dryers. Inspection does help. Some spots are small so make sure your RV will fit. Very small road turns for long term spaces. Some of the trees need to be cut back or down as they cause an extreme sap, needle and dirt mess. But that's where the office staff/owner comes in and you are at their mercy.
