I really enjoy Oak Creek Resort, a nice getaway from San Diego. What makes it great is the management of YECICIA, or Jessica, as some call her. She has done a wonderful job of captaining the ship, after the recent departure of two other managers. She is always sweet, and always tries to accomodate your needs. They really should consider making her the permanent manager, considering the fact that she is consistently, fearlessly, the one most adept at handling the knuckleheads. read more

Nice area and amenities. Camping spaces are extremely tight but in all fairness, this isn't the only campground like this. Laundry facilities are nice but entirely TOO EXPENSIVE! $6.00 to wash and another $6.00 to dry. Because the machines are so small I would have had to get 2 each of the machines making it a minimum of $24 to do laundry. Nope. I wouldn't discourage anyone from staying but I wouldn't recommend either. read more

This place has been an absolute awesome time.The clubhouse, grill, pool, and jacuzzi are always well maintained. Keith, Maggie and Ramiro all go out of their way to help you with your needs or requests. They are all so easy going and make feel like your family. All the staff are friendly and the park is kept well, Theresa does a great job and goes above and beyond. Keith, Enrique, and Miguel are always so attentive to guests and their well being. Our neighbors are always quiet and the evenings are nice. It is in an industrial area off lake Jennings exit on the 8, so traffic is heavy during weekdays. There is an off leash fenced dog park, my dog loved it. Garbage cans around the park is very convenient too. We stayed 3 months. read more

The camp ground is super clean, really nice amenities. The bathrooms are well kept up. Not your average campground. And Jim and Keith just feel like family. Super nice guys. The housekeeping walks around with a smile all day she's so sweet. This place is a hidden gem! Everything about this park is outstanding, the staff (Keith is the absolute best) go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of and have everything you need. The park is always maintained to the highest degree. The bathrooms are always spotless, they have a gym, pool and spa, a game room for kids and dog friendly. We highly recommend staying here! I enjoyed staying here they were really nice and helpful. The space is a good size and they have good spots to rent near the pool, there restrooms are so clean and nice. My husband said the staff were very helpful since I stayed in the rv enjoying the weather I didn't get to meet them but they are making the stay worth the money... the people are nice as well the pool is amazing. A beautifully fashioned RV park, with palm trees, a heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, pool table, a gym, grassy yard...resort style amenities! Theresa is an angel, the social center of the park. Informative, helpful, always with an offer of assistance! Kenjada has done a great job with the place, keeping it clean and kempt! Keith is friendly, helpful, informative, and a very kind soul! My wife likes it because it is so quiet, not near the highway, and very safe. Photogenic as well, with a mountain scape in view to the south. read more

These people are liars! Especially Keith. Don't trust anything he says! He and Jim plot against the occupants, mostly seniors. They gouge us on the electricity and say they're going to check your meter but they never do. $450 a month is the average. They tried to charge my friend over $750 one month! I can't say enough about how bad this place is. Beware!!! BTW, my doctor wrote me a note saying I was too disabled to move my trailer out for two days as they require. They would not honor it and evicted me instead. Such compassion. NOT! This goes against the disability laws. I'm seeing a lawyer. read more

Stayed here for a week. Initial thoughts were that it was very kept, clean and looked like a nice park but not too much room between spaces. Very tight fit on the lower loop. Upon check in I was assigned a spot and given a couple extra options as well in the lower loop, the initial assigned spot had a motorhome in it and the others were too small. I paid for a deluxe spot and although they aren't marked I believe to have initially gotten a standard site due to the size. I noticed the upper loop seemed to have more room so I went back into the office to question the site and they said my original site was indeed a deluxe but they would re-assign me a spot in the upper loop. No real way to distinguish deluxe vs premium (standard) but I believe the upper loop is deluxe and the lower loop is the standard. The rest of the stay was decent. Definitely more of a park for long term stays. Seemed well kept and most of the other rigs were somewhat newer. I would stay there again if needed but if I had the choice I would probably choose Santee Lakes campground for a few dollars a night more. read more

I was staying at Oak Creek Rv Resort in El Cajon CA for 1 month for the first and last time! Really frustrating how the guy at the front desk won't let my service dogs in the pool area with me so that I can soak in the Jacuzzi. I recorded the whole conversation and posted it to my YouTube. HE DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THE LAW!! He's actually breaking the law. IT IS NOT UP TO HIM whether or not my service dogs accompany me in the pool area. If you watch the video you can hear him try and justify himself as to why my service animals are not allowed in the pool area and because HE doesn't want my dogs in the pool area, I do not get to use the Jacuzzi or soak my sore herniated back. I was excited about staying here because they had a Jacuzzi and I could finally soak in a hot tub, because of my herniated disc, I'm in A LOT OF PAIN... And all of the pain that I'm in, I really need to soak. So I just tried to go in the Jacuzzi with my service dogs making sure they were wearing the vests saying service dog. But he thinks his wishes are all that matter. Not when I have a freaking doctors note and written letters from my doctors to prove it to him!! He's not even asking for that stuff. He's already made up his mind. And he's not allowed to do that under California state law!! So I just went back in there and took a video https://youtu.be/BeaVuvxibBs of the manager Jim telling me that I was not allowed in the Jacuzzi area with my service dog!!!! NOW I'm taking this video posting it on YouTube, then taking him to court. This time I'm not gonna let them take advantage of me. This place is so so nice. There was a bit of confusion when making my reservation but in the end my boyfriend I love the spot we ended up in. This park is so green and so well kept. They host a free bbq once a month at the pool and matinee move Saturday nights once a month in the club house. Surrounded by so many good, friendly people I feel so at home here! read more

This campground is good if you don't have any kids. I stayed in this parked for 3 months. The management was very nice and helpful. The pool was amazing. The landscaping was beautiful. My problem with this campground was the idiots they let in the park. There were 2 registered sex affenders. One got kicked out for approaching someone's child. There were also a lot of tweakers. I was alone in the park. I had a man come to my door drunk, in a towel only. He asked me to go to the shower with him. When I told him no and got angry with him , he got angry back and ran off. I contacted management right away. He is still in the park today. Lots of drama in this park. I will never go back read more

The only good thing about this places is that you can stay long term, and it is very pretty compared to a lot of parks in sandiego. Besides that, there are so many things wrong. The washers and dryers are always broken. And they just put in "new" washer and dryers and 4 of the 6 dryers are. Broken. The manager Jim is rude not only to guests but to his staff. If tou bring him a problem he doesnt care at all. This is extremely sad. The place is so dark it isnt safe to walk at night. If you want to walk go get a nice flashlight. The speeding in this place is out of control and they dont do anything about it. I have almost been hit multiple times. I would not reccomend this place to stay. read more

I have been at this Oak Creek for almost 2 years. We have made friends, our grand kids have friends in the park. The prior mangers were amazing, friendly, never any problems. The new general manger, Kim Pouykham is terrible! Today is a Spring event at the park. The notice says to bring family and friends, so we did. Now she is going to add on $10 per person, including little kids to swim in the pool today! Not only for today, but said last week she is going to add on an additional $10 per person because she noticed them swimming without paying! I have never received a notice. The RV park used to be enjoyable, but under the new change in management, I gave my notice. I would never recommend this RV park, you are nickel and dime for everything. Sad that you pay over $1200 a month in space rent and your grand kids can't enjoy the pool for an afternoon. read more

A quick note. The other reviews, posted below mine, are almost certainly fake. They were posted by employees of Sunland Corporation, or were paid for. Ignore them. Pay attention to this one. It offers you the truth. The truth--this is a horrendous RV park. The management is incompetent, from seeing to your needs to fielding complaints; the bathrooms are consistently trashed, the showers rife with black mold, the toilets go unflushed for days at a time; and the park is noisy due to the foul behavior of the lot of miscreants known as "the power guys," who go unchecked and unevicted. The pool and spa have been shut down due to health code violations; the odor of sewage, especially in the park's south end, is omnipresent, especially at night. There is no actual security patrolling the premises; and the park overcharges hugely and does not easily accommodate newer-model buses and larger RVs. That is just a very partial, very incomplete list. Please believe me: there's a lot more wrong with this place, and with its administrators. They want your money, and to hell with your comfort and your personal safety. Oak Creek RV Park is a heinous, dirty, incompetent, overpriced and mendacious joke. Avoid it like the plague. read more

These people are absolute jerks! STAY AWAY! I give very few 1 star reviews but these people deserve it. After 3 years of storage and months of actual camping here, they decided with no advanced warning to terminate my storage agreement. Here is the kicker, I was days away from spring break vacation with my family and headed out of town; I asked them for just a couple of extra days to find a new storage home. They simply denied my request; cited new corporate policies, and started charging me the full daily camping rate without my consent. I went from paying $4 per day storage to $60 per day storage with no flexibility at all...not even a freekin' coupon rate...just full boat. None of their managers would do anything about it and simply cowered behind some corporate decision maker who I was not allowed to speak with. How's that for treating your most loyal and long term customers like garbage!? I cringe when I think about the thousands of dollars I've given these people over the years. Stay away. Stay anywhere else. Tell your friends about these people; they only care about profits, you are an afterthought. BAD PROFITS. read more

We reserved a pull-through site. We got one we had to back into and then park our truck next to our trailer. There really was not enough room. We had to fold our steps up to get our truck out from the "parking spot." We couldn't park ahead of the steps because our trailer is as far back as we could get it and the truck would stick out in the road if we parked it ahead of the steps. We reserved the site we wanted, not this one. To top it all off, we got charged more than we were quoted; as if it weren't over-priced to begin with. read more

Expensive , and not worth 73$ a night plus $1.50 a nite to park your towing pickup. Our 5th Wheel only 29 feet long was a real pain to park because the roads between sites are way too narrow. The bathrooms were filthy, pool had green/ black stuff growing on the sides. The pool has locked gates ...even to get out so it was a hassle. The TV was a royal pain in the arse. It took us 2 hours to get the Cox company to give us intial access and we had to call them on the phone 4 times to get it right. Total of 3.5 hours expended on getting tv. We live here full time, and my boys love it! The heated swimming pool is bigger than many others in the area, not just a puddle jumper. The jacuzzi is very nice. The game room is a nice hangout, especially on hot days, with a pool table and foosball table. There is a gym, with what seems to be a complete workout available. The grounds are kept very clean, and the roads are concrete, not gravel or dirt. The facilities are cleaned daily, and are kept in good maintenance. Cox cable is available for fast internet, and this is a bulk account system, meaning that basic and expanded cable is included in the rent, so only a cable box is necessary to receive cable TV. We have a DVR and internet for only $75 a month because of the bulk account status. Overall, we highly recommend this park - it feels great to come home here!! read more
