so beautiful and peaceful, great for a walk. There are benches on the trail to take in the view. A hidden gem on the island.

The Silver Strand beach is so peaceful, cute sea shells , seals, dolphin and of big things jumping in the water. If you need to get away from everyone this is the place to go. Parking is $2.00 for 2 hours of parking $8.00 for the day

    So beautiful at sunset...

We usually rent an RV, which makes everything so much easier and more enjoyable for our family. There is always something going on. From bike rides along the bay to cruising around on electric scooters and skateboards, it is such a fun and active environment for both kids and adults. Easter weekend is especially amazing. The energy is so fun, and there are tons of family friendly activities that make it feel extra special. What really makes this place stand out is the community. The locals and other campers are genuinely kind and welcoming. It is so easy to meet new people and feel like you are part of something bigger. Every trip we end up making new friends. A couple helpful tips if you are planning your stay. Definitely bring bikes, scooters, or skateboards because getting around is part of the fun. Also, the market on site is pretty expensive, so bring anything you think you might need ahead of time. It will save you money and make your stay a lot more convenient. Also, they have pickleball courts just outside the campgrounds easy to drive too! If you are going during busy weekends like Easter, plan ahead with parking. If you have more than two cars, make sure to park somewhere safe or consider renting an RV nearby and packing everything into it so you are not constantly going in and out. Every time we leave, we are already planning our next trip back. Highly recommend for families looking for a fun, easy, and memorable getaway.

Shops, restaurants, beaches and yes Lego Land. We were in town for 5 days and set up our RV here. The staff was friendly as well as alot of the guests. Here's where this location fell short. 1. It smelled like a Greatfull Dead concert 24 / 7 from all the 60's generation pot smokers and 2. Alot of the parents were too busy drinking instead of watching their kids and keeping them from running into people at night on their bikes and did I also mention mom's taking their son's into the women's restroom who are clearly old enough to use the men's restroom on their own? It was just weird and super uncomfortable. But this rv park is centrally located to everything and within walking distance to everything. We didn't find the train to be a problem and I loved the fact that they have security since the homeless population around the outside of the park usually shows up during the day and at night. The restrooms and showers are clean and the staff is fantastic about returning calls. They do allow fur babies as long as they behave themselves but check for breed restrictions. I highly recommend making reservations way in advance.

The cottage can accommodate up to six guests, but our stay was just for me, my wife, and our wheaten terrier. This review reflects our experience specifically as cottage guests, since those staying in RV spaces may have a very different experience. It was also our first visit to this RV resort, and we did not participate in many of the on-site activities. That said, we truly enjoyed our stay. The resort was very clean, the staff was welcoming and engaging with guests, and we appreciated how dog-friendly the property is. The location is also excellent -- conveniently close to the I-5 freeway, nearby walking and bicycling trails, downtown Chula Vista, and the newly built Gaylord Resort property less than half a mile to the south. While amenities such as the pickleball courts, swimming pool, hot tubs, and putting green looked inviting, we did not personally use them during this visit. We ate dinner at the on-site café both evenings, and every dish we ordered was reasonably priced, generously portioned, and served fresh and hot. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout. We tried the Baja Burger, Fish & Chips, Steak & Frites, Cheesesteak, crinkle-cut fries, pretzel buns, and churros -- all were delicious, and we would happily order them again without hesitation. Our bayside cottage was clean, well maintained, and offered beautiful views of the wildlife preserve between the resort and San Diego Bay. The two-bedroom layout provided more than enough space for us and our medium-sized dog. We especially enjoyed the fire pit, along with the covered first-level patio and uncovered second-level patio facing the bay. Although we didn't use the barbecue grill, it was spotless and clearly ready for guests to use for grilling steaks, burgers, hot dogs, or anything else they wished. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely consider returning for another local staycation.

Amira, JoAnna, Rose, & Diane who manages the groups, all were responsible for making our stay comfortable the entire time. The folks at the cafe and bar were enjoyable to be around. All's I can say is we are grateful as can be and returning for 2 months next year. The sunrises and incredible sunsets across from Living Coast Nature Center and bay, the 26 mile bike path from the park to Coronado, the neighbors, holy moly what fabulous hood. The vibe and cleanliness of the entire place is far above others we've been to. All of this was topped by a kind gesture made by Modi, one of the cleaning professionals for the cabins, she gave me the star experience. One day I needed a pvt place to join friends during a long distance celebration of life. "Modi" (I hope Im spelling her name correctly,) with ultimate compassion she showed me a quiet spot I could be by myself. Then came back after cleaning the cabin with a cup of tea! I trust she will be rewarded and not reprimanded for extending such consideration and tenderness. Also we lucked out being here for the month and joining the Pleasure-Way owner's annual rally. Being close to trolley allowed us to get around easily with bike or on foot. Fantastic clean new playground near shuttle to Living Coast! The only thing that is missing is a place to put your shampoo and essentials in the showers. All in all our month was a tremendous experience.

Just be sure to purchase tokens at the front for the shower. - Dog friendly! We especially loved the fire pits, and the firewood delivery service was impressively fast and convenient. Our cabin was another highlight--spotless, thoughtfully appointed, and incredibly comfortable. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Getting around the campground was easy, and it was simple to connect with other family members staying nearby. Despite seeing some reviews mentioning noise, we experienced none at all--just a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Check-in was quick and seamless, and every staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Their friendliness really added to the overall experience. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and will absolutely recommend it to friends and family. Whether you're traveling as a couple or with family, this is a fantastic place to stay. Room - We rented the Deluxe Cabin (Full Bath with Shower), KOA Patio ® Sleeping Loft. One room had a queen-sized bed, another very small room had a bunkbed (2 beds total), there was a couch in the main area that folded out and there was a large loft space with what looked to be a queen-sized mattress. Note, you couldn't stand up in the loft (perhaps small kids could - I'm 5'2" and could not). Kitchen had decent sized fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, pots, pans, and utensils. Outside was a propane grill (worked great), a fire pit with 4 Adirondack chairs and tables and an umbrella covered picnic table with I believe 6 chairs. There was also a stand up bar height table by the fire pit. And I almost forgot the best part - one bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. Linens provided (bed and bath). Nearby activities: Very easy to travel to all the sites from this location (beaches, parks, zoo, etc.) SafetyI felt very safe staying here as a female. Food & drinks: They have a cafe of sorts on site but we did not check it out. Of note: Some of the outer perimeter tent campsites were right off the freeway. My cousin who stayed there said it was a little bit noisy. Where we were DC203 was very quiet and peaceful.

The moonlight created an almost mystical atmosphere, making the desert feel like another planet. We set up our tent beside a stone ramada with a table and fireplace. The cleanest toilet we've ever seen was just steps away, which was a luxurious touch. Since it wasn't peak season, typically from March to April when wildflowers are in bloom and again from autumn onward, the park was quieter. We checked in with the DIY machine at the entrance of the campground, and friendly ranchers were around to offer help if needed. One rancher suggested that if we wanted to hike, we should start early and finish by 8:30am before the temperatures began to rise. ( Just a tip: download a campsite map beforehand because there's no internet service in the park) The desert, lit up by the moon, looked like something from another world. Rugged rock formations and the wide open space felt never ending, and with the moonlight highlighting the cool details of the landscape. The desert was so quiet and empty, It felt like the world had melted away, leaving just us and the serene, mystical surroundings.. Next morning, the heat cut our hike short with our cat, and it was a bit of an ordeal. Cats can be more sensitive to the heat, and she had a breathing issue and gasping for air right after we started hiking. We had to quickly rushed back to the car to help her cool down. So just be aware if you plan to bring your pets along. Despite this, that night remained a magical mix of peace and wonder, a cherished experience that I'll never forget.

I have camped for many years, all over, and none were as bad as this. I called to check a few things on the phone before booking my reservation. They were very nice, polite, but were not forth coming with how this place works. The price is outrageous. Especially when many of the advertised features have been closed for a while. There are no designated camping spots and from what I can tell, they don't really seem to have any cap to reservations. We arrived at 755 am, yesterday, holiday weekend. Check in 8 am. There were about 6 cars in line but it took about 10-15 minutes to check in because of how slow they are to check people in. Then we drove in anticipation from zone 1 all the way to zone 9 looking for a spot, somewhere to camp, set up, relax, and enjoy the weekend. No such luck. Dozens and dozens and dozens of people every where. No marked camping spots. People camped on rocks, up against the mountain, in the creek bed, all over the place. People on top of each other, tent to tent. We left, and we know we were out the $ but we wanted some place to unwind and relax and this seemed like major stress and chaos. When we drove out there were another 10 cars in line waiting to check in. I have no idea where they were going to find a camping spot. Lesson learned to make sure that when you have a reservation for camping that you actually have and actual designated camping spot.
