It's important to note that La Paloma WIVC is primarily a residential location where people live around or maybe have their vacation homes here. There are two timeshare companies that own properties here. One is world, international vacation club and the other is Worldmark. Your experience here could vary, depending on which timeshare company you use or if you're renting from a private owner so not all reviews are necessarily reviewing the same thing unless they give you unit information or who they're renting from. My experience, we are here from WIVC. We have been using world international for years as I said 40 years at least maybe a little longer. We have been lucky enough to have multiple locations in a small area with its own pool and that has been really wonderful. There's also people who live in this section so there's a mixture of people. This year we had five units for multiple family members to come and get together which is what we usually do typically every other year. I'm currently staying in unit number 61 which is a great two bedroom unit that faces the pool from its balcony. It's a first floor so no stairs and as usual our room is the same as it's been since I've been coming here. We're all international employees a cleaning crew. They clean your room every day and they do everything. I try to help out and wash my own dishes usually but if I leave some in the sink, they take care of that. Once a week in the middle, they changed the sheets the rest of the time they come in and make beds replace all your towels clean the room. It's just really nice. Obviously these rooms are old but they do keep them updated. There's a lot of tile involved. It's a very Mexican aesthetic so I love that about it. One of the negatives might be that there is no air-conditioning in these units, but we know this and we bring fans to keep it cool. The rooms come with everything you need just like any time that you use a timeshare got all of your dishes and cooking utensils full kitchen in the two bedroom unit. You have a master bedroom with a bathroom and there is a common bathroom that can be used for everybody and there is a second bedroom with two twin size beds. So clearly designed for mom Dad and two kids, but it also works out for cousins hanging out together like us! The complex itself is incredibly safe. They have Security walking all the time keeping an eye on things they don't miss much so I feel 100% secure here. Our cars are behind a gated Security gate to in order to get in here you have to go through a security guard and be a resident or have a parking pass because you're staying here on vacation. The landscaping is incredible. It has never changed. It's beautiful garden setting and you really are right on the beach. It really hasn't changed over the years. There are four pools. There are tennis courts. I haven't made it back into the clubhouse this week. I know there's pool tables, but I don't know if they still have the sauna and steam room. I'll update if I get in there. That shows how busy we've been on this trip busy laying in the sun on the beach ha ha There is also an on-site café they're closed on Wednesdays but they have breakfast lunch and dinner. We've eaten there for dinner our first night altogether and it was fabulous. The coconut shrimp is recommended! And family members have had breakfast during this week and enjoyed it so definitely recommended. We had a lot of fun there. Overall, no change in my rating. I've been coming here since I was a teenager and I love it and we hope to continue coming as long as I can.

She was there like 3 minutes. Security shows up and says she cant be in there.. we are like no prob wont happen again. He stays there next to us just staring. After a few minutes we are like, is there anything else? yes, you have to wait for the security manager to come and give you a written warning and if it happens again you will be fined. Like what?! he stands there 10 minutes waiting for manager.. it was so uncomfortable all the guests were staring at us it was embarrassing but funny you wouldve thought we smuggled in cocaine..see pictures.. it was so weird.. There is security everywhere i guess that's good but they were writing citiations constantly i guess thats how they make money on the side!

The beach is literally right in front of the hotel so convenient and all the bars are down the street less than 5 minute walk. Walking in I did not know what I was expecting but to my surprise it was like an apartment!! I was so shocked and amazed and with an ocean view!! I was so excited not just to be in Mexico but to have such an amazing room right next to the beach!!! The room came with two bathrooms which was nice kind of like a his and hers bathroom. I've stayed in La Mansion, Motel Premier, El Paraiso, and others. This motel, even though is further from the border is as nice as La Mansion, but very affordable. I like this motel because the WiFi is good and reliable, which helps me whenever I have work to do. This last weekend they had a problem with their WiFi and I wasn't able to do work. Unfortunately, the Internet connection is what brings me here. I was upset and the staff understood. I was thinking of leaving somewhere else, but they moved me to another room that had some WiFi connectivity (WiFi was spotty in some areas). They went out of their way to make sure I got what I needed and that to me meant a lot. This is why I'm giving them a 5 star review. The rooms are clean, quiet, and nice. The prices are better than Motel 6, even though I go there on the weekends. For anyone wanting to get the best bang for you buck, this is the place. I highly recommend it.

Horrible Experience - Morning Staff Issues This hotel is my…read morebrother-in-law's preferred choice whenever he needs to stay in Tijuana for business or travel. When we arrived, the staff were excellent--very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in three rooms that night because there were seven of us traveling together. Unfortunately, the morning staff were the complete opposite. The person at the valet desk was extremely rude and seemed annoyed that I needed access to my vehicle, which I had planned to store at the hotel for a week. He questioned me about which room I was staying in and who I had spoken with regarding the shuttle to take our family to the airport. I assumed it was a misunderstanding, since my brother-in-law had made the arrangements, so I told him he would be down shortly. When we walked back into the hotel, my sister-in-law was being questioned by the receptionist in a similar manner, as if we had done something wrong. When my brother-in-law came downstairs, neither the valet attendant nor the receptionist said a word to him. The shuttle driver was already waiting outside, so I assumed they had called his room and resolved the matter--but that was not the case. We later returned to Tijuana. The shuttle driver, Sergio, was waiting for us at the airport. He was an excellent driver--friendly and helpful--and pointed out several landmarks and new buildings during the drive to the hotel. Our plan was to stay one more night and then drive to northern California the following day. Upon arriving at the hotel, I felt the staff inside were waiting for us. When I asked to retrieve a few items from my car and pay the parking bill for the week, I was told they could not find my keys. I still had the ticket I had been given, but they did not know where the keys were. The gentleman at the reception desk asked who had made the arrangements. When I told him it was my brother-in-law, he instructed me to call my brother-in-law and ask him where the keys were. I called and explained the situation; my brother-in-law said he would take care of it. Shortly afterward the keys were located, and I paid the parking bill. The male receptionist then told me, in a threatening manner, that next time I should call the hotel to make my own arrangements. I informed him there would not be a next time after the way I had been treated both that day and the previous Saturday. He almost looked stunned when he realized he had lost a future customer. My brother-in-law is scheduled to arrive on Monday--hopefully they do not lose his car keys as well. Summary of Ratings My review is based primarily on the morning staff and the way they operate. The night staff were excellent and deserve 5 stars. Both shuttle drivers were also outstanding and deserve 5 stars. Overall, the hotel itself appears to be a solid 4-star property based on the condition of the building. Management simply needs to address the issues with the morning staff, or they will continue to lose customers.

We paid for each of our pets but that's the least when you're looking for a good service in a city that you're not familiar with, service room dinner was very pleasant, inside the hotel everything looks very nice, clean, fresh and calm, I wished we could stay to enjoy a couple of days, but also the cherry of the pie was the transportation to the airport, no hustle having to go outside and looking for a cab on the street. They do have a private bar ( it is a little pricey ) but it's nice and comfortable and I loved the music they were playing. Decent price for 2 nights. Room has water and a coffee machine with coffee pods. I'm pretty picky when it comes to hotels and the beds. This place blew my mind and they offer you free parking a block away behind the Soriana which is secure and nothing happened to my car. I would most definitely stay here again

The rooms are small, with all the usual amenities, plush bed, and space is utilized well.  Staff is very friendly, attentive.  There is a really awesome bar with indoor outdoor seating and the chef/bartender Miguel  great stories and life experiences from his world travels he's willing to share. Drinks were good but a bit expensive.   If you are a couple who want to be in the downtown TJ area to experience nightlife, this might be the place for you.  However, the hotel doesn't have its own parking, as it is off-site, not oriented for families or those who have difficulties moving around or in need of ramps.
