I don't know why people don't like grocery stores. I don't live around here. So, I can't give a fair rating for this Randalls in Meyerland. I knew most of things are more expensive than HEB or Krogers. But certain items with Remarkable Card discount, they are more comparable to other grocery stores. I recently learned that pork free cuisine is closely related to kosher foods. I have many friends who don't consume pork. Kosher is the safe way to share a meal with. I saw "Kosher Market" sign outside of building. So, I am here to check it out. Yup. Kosher signs are everywhere, mostly on both sides of end aisles. I assume there's a bigger Jewish community in the area. I was here to find a duckling for Thanksgiving dinner. But I can't buy the one that is in the freezer. Because it expires November 10 and labels are fading. Gee I wonder if the date I read was correct. I got what I needed on my quick visit. I couldn't do my grocery shopping here because I don't have a rewards card. But I'll be back. I saw lots of fresher vegetables and fruits here than other grocery stores I frequent. read more

Customer service was rude ass hell. The manager was barely letting us talk and kept cutting us off. When we asked for the money back she basically threw it in our hands and when she gave us the wrong amount we told her and she threw the remaining bill at us. When we tried to explain the situation she kept saying " okay I can see that " or " I'm doing that " , kept rolling her eyes at us and basically ignored us. Would NOT recommend. read more

Needs cashiers. Never more than one cashier-attended lane open at a time. Express lane is NEVER open. Self-checkout has lines. And I never see any managers up front to help with anything. If I'm going to stand in line to pretend like I work in a grocery store, there should be a discount instead of higher prices than other chains. read more

why are the pharmacists and staff so rude, condescending and uncaring?? Why would an important medication being back ordered be funny to Lorena? Why wouldn't it be important to actually notify the patient and help them find the medicine or work towards another acceptable alternative? The pharmacy is never ever busy which is why I transferred my medications there, but I guess the lousy and rude customer service is why it is never busy there. read more

I would definitely stay away from this store, its disgusting,never clean, even after the remodel they did. I used to like this Randall's but for the past 3 years or so the store has gone down hill. Early Sunday morning before church, I realized I needed to purvey more health, organic, in season ingredients for our family breakfast. At 6 am, I was among the first customers at Randall's. The manager David escorted me in with an errant cart, engaging me as a neighbor, not selling. Upon entering the store, I was greeted by his colleague Christian (bagging groceries for other patrons), who enthusiastically said 'hello' and welcomed me to the store. Refreshing was their hospitality, which they practice 2,000 times daily. And, I was encouraged by David's openness to some customer experience and merchandising ideas. Thank you, men, for your authentic professionalism and leadership at 6 am! I look forward to an expanded and refrigerated organic produce section soon for longer shelf life and freshness. read more

My go to snack cake. When I get a hankering for cake, I pop into Randall's. I get the individual slices. Cake is moist. They have staples. Chocolate, vanilla, carrot, German chocolate. New on the menu is Oreo cake. Not too sweet. Sweet enough. A soft oreo cookie on top of a dollop of whipped cream. My husband says it's perfect. They also have cheesecakes. Keep up the excellent work Randall's Bakery. Please give them a try. I buy my bagels here too. Cinnamon raisin. I frequent the bakery section. Lots to choose from. Why would someone review a grocery store... right? Well, this is my go-to store for most everything. As a kosher consumer, they have a lot to offer... fresh bread, a kosher deli and meat counter, even burgers grilled to order (hint: the Texas burger is Texas-sized... not southwest flavored. The management here is really helpful. They will stop what they are doing to help find an item, and if they don't have it, they are happy to get it for you. Most of the cashiers are great and really friendly, however, the line seems to back up in the late evenings. Miss Mary, one of the cashiers, is a highlight of our visits at Randalls. She always has a huge smile and a great word for everyone in her line. It is like we are her guests. It is rare to see that anywhere, especially a grocery store. The flower selection is pretty good, but the flower lady is not the cheeriest. Which is sad, because she is surrounded by such beautiful flowers. Maybe I need to buy her a bunch next time I am in (need to consult with the wife first.) I like this store. It has almost everything that I need in one stop. read more

I went shopping here around 6pm on a Monday. The place was practically empty, and that's a good thing! It was one of the most quiet and peaceful shopping experiences I've ever had. :'-) I never thought I would describe a grocery store as peaceful but the place was clean, you are greeted by flowers (the floral dept.) when you walk in, the lights were dimmed which I enjoyed (mood lighting!?), and I was the second person in line when I got to the register. The only con was that they didn't have ground chicken, so I settled on ground turkey. read more

I live in the neighborhood so this is where I do my "regular" grocery shopping for everyday pantry items and snack foods for my kiddo. It's clean and well stocked but the best part is the customer service. The produce guys are awesome, they say hi and ask if they can help me every single time I am in the store....like EVERY time! The store manager they have on the floor now is awesome and will go above and beyond for whatever you need. They also always have just enough cashiers available which is a huge pet peeve of mine in stores, and if the lines start getting backed up they immediately call someone up to start checking. The floral department is good too and very reasonably priced. I used to only get my flowers at Central Market until I started paying attention to the price difference. I've gotten some wonderful bouquets to self arrange and some pre-made bouquets from the cold case that were beautiful and half the cost. This Randalls Starbucks has the BEST baristas ever. Very nice, know you by name and coffee:-) Lastly, it never fails, during holidays people comment on some of my home decorative items and a lot of them come from Randalls (a secret I'm only revealing now). Apparently they have a decent buyer in this department. I've acquired some of the cutest Halloween/Easter/ Christmas items here! read more

I love this Randalls. I stop at the Starbucks inside and then I shop. I only come to get specific items on sale. This week I went by to get the Fiora papertowels. 3 six packs for $10. They are very absorbent. I get seafood here sometimes. This week I got 2 catfish fillets for $2.67. You never know what you will find marked down so look for thee Manager's Specials. I would shop here more if the prices were lower. read more

I placed an order for a graduation cake at the store on 4800 West Bellfort / Houston, TX 77035. The order was fully paid for on the day it was placed. I requested a picture of the school crest to be imposed on the cake and was told that the machine making the impression was out of order but they could devise another way to get it done. I called today (3 days before the order is due) to ensure the order was on track and had the misfortune to talk to Desiree Rodriguez. If she is a front-line representation of this company then I am not surprised about the negative reviews. She was downright rude and kept interrupting me. When I questioned her about the status of the image-making machine, she stated that she could not help me and that I needed to call back to speak with the manager. I asked after her name to make reference to the call and she hung up on me. I called back and got the store manager Jamie who was very apologetic and offered to discount the cake. I refused the discount but I was baffled when he also relayed that this employee has had multiple complaints. In today's technology world where stores are fighting for market penetration and consumer retention, why would Randalls knowingly keep a rude employee on staff? I would avoid doing business with this store. I used them because it was close to the graduation party venue but it will be my last time. read more

This has been my grocery store for years. The people are always nice and helpful. The pharmacist always get my prescriptions right away when I wait. The store is well stocked, neat and organized. read more

I live right by it and I used to go there almost everyday. Clean, nice atmosphere. A little pricey. I am more into organic produce which this store has only a small selection of and it is non-refrigerated. I really enjoy the fact that they hire special-needs baggers...they are wonderful and a joy to see. Now, I used to go there all the time, but here is the problem with this store. All the employees are great, except there will always seem to be one that is down-right nasty. And for some odd reason, the management at this store will take forever to fire them AND management never moves that employee to a back room job so that customers don't get victimized by them. They FINALLY fired "Monica". I stopped shopping there for a year or so while I patientely waited for her to be fired. Now there is another rude one, but I think she is out on maturnity leave as she looked very pregnant. So now I am slowly shopping there again.... I really hate when one bad apple can ruin a place for me, but when I mean "nasty" , I really mean "nasty",.....in my play book, there is no room for that. read more

I live nearby and there are times when It's just more convenient to stop by here rather than go elsewhere. Every time I do however, I regret it. It would appear that they have decided to put the most clueless management ever here at this store. Just not sure why this location does not get shut down - these folks are clueless. What's really sad is that there are a few people at the store that work extremely hard and they suffer because they have to get lumped in with the mentally challenged folks in charge. Went in to get ginger for sushi and a young lady decided to go out of the way to help (this after two other employees had no idea what I was talking about and had no desire to understand or ask someone else for help). When the young lady asked management - they did not bother even trying to understand. The store is dated and no variety and is just awful. Grateful for HEB. The man in the deli, Chris , I believe is his name , is wonderful. His humor and personality is refreshing. He helped us pick delicious meat and potato salad and ambrosia salad, he absolutely knew his stuff . He let us sample, it was very nice not to feel like a burden, that's how I feel at Walmart Deli. I used to like this store, but it has gone downhill. There are some employees who care & some who don't. I went to the pharmacy today to pick up a prescription. The price was very high. I asked if they had applied the coupon I gave them when I dropped off the prescription. The clerk said "no". Asked me if I still had the coupon. No, I gave it to the clerk when I gave them the prescription. She just stood there with a blank look, like there's nothing she can do. Somehow the fact that they misplaced or lost the coupon is my fault. Will start mail ordering my prescriptions. read more

I live close to this store and I used to shop my grocery here, but lately I prefer to drive more and skip this place. You can find only one cashier or 2 here and long lines of costumers. The flower lady is never there, and if you're lucky to find here she is so slow. The cashier is rude too. I have been a regular shopper at this store for a few years. I've liked it because it's usually not crowded. But of late, I've noticed customer service there has gotten worse...so much worse it's become an unpleasant experience shopping at this location. My last trip, the employee wringing up my groceries threw a bag of dog food into my cart so hard I thought it had ripped. He was also sarcastic to me, plus he incorrectly charged me for some produce I bought, (ringing it up as a more expensive brand of apple than it was). I unfortunately didn't catch this error until I got home. I don't think I'm going back for awhile to this location because it's just not worth the hassle to me. My 8 yr old daughter picked out and we ordered her birthday cake on TUESDAY. 30 minutes before I was scheduled to pick it up on FRIDAY, I get a call that they don't have the decorations to make the cake. RIDICULOUS!! The managers solution is to pick out another cake. My daughter's in school so I can't ask her what else she wants. If you are there early to mid afternoon midweek, avoid the deli and cooked food section. The guy there will not acknowledge you are waiting to be served and just go on doing what he is doing, like chatting to fellow staff or cutting cheese (like this can't wait). The last time, he made an old lady and me wait 20 minutes, all this time without any communications until I asked, 'is anyone serving today?'. He said 'me' and turned back to slowly slicing cheese. I ended up leaving without purchasing so I don't know how long he made the old lady wait. Management at this Randalls need to step up. read more
