It was my first time, and I was treated like a VIP. The team was incredibly efficient and was able to provide my cleaning effectively and easily. There were extra touches through the cleaning that made it feel more like a VIP experience than a standard visit to the office. Their pricing was comparable to the other places I had checked out, so the value and pricing were in line. I take that back, the value was greater than the pricing! There was no wait time, other than the time it took to fill out the new patient paperwork, and we got x-rays promptly, followed by cleanings. My step-daughter was expecting to have a follow up appointment for the second deep cleaning - the first was prior to us moving to the Indy area - but they determined it was unecessary. Instead, she will have flouride treatment for cavities. The assistant who did my cleaning was friendly and professional, and asked if I was comfortable. There was a television on the ceiling playing Grey's Anatomy, and generic 2000s pop music playing. Dr. Liang himself was also friendly, and I trust his judgment. The whole atmosphere was clean and organized, and they were an efficient office. We were in and out in 90 minutes, but it felt much quicker than that.

Be aware, they charge more for below average dental work, just because they can…read more My husband works for Colgate, meaning our insurance is top tier for dental coverage (everything is normally 100% covered). They charge a much higher rate than other dentists and I'd suggest just going to another dentist (I've found great care at Waterfront Family Dentist in Geist, everything has been covered under our insurance). The service care was below average and they did a terrible job at the X-Rays, having to get them re-done at another dental provider, even after sending them the ones this establishment took and sending it to them. I would never recommend this place to anyone and I'm just trying to warn others. This is my personal experience and others may find this place great. For the last several years i've had amazing cleanings every 6 to 8 months with my dentists in NYC, LA and Indy. I got new insurance and found Dr. Chang who told me I had 11 cavities. It's been years since I had a cavity. My Indianapolis dentist also happens to be a dear friend and I sent her my x-rays and she saw zero need for any fillings or drills. She recommended a fluoride toothpaste if I felt inclined. I know that I have really good dental hygiene and history so I wanted to post this because it breaks my heart to think somebody would go to Dr. Chang and suddenly be led to believe that they needed 11 fillings out of nowhere!?! Dr. Chang is very kind and lovely. She did my cleaning her self and while it was quite aggressive and painful and there was bleeding, my teeth felt clean when I left. The x-rays were by far the most uncomfortable I've ever had. I've never really had an issue with x-rays before but her instruments often either gagged me or were hurting the roof of my mouth. Hope this is helpful as you shop around for a dentist. I know it can be so hard to find one that is the right fit for each of our needs which is why I've actually flown across the country to see my dentists on a few occasions.

After being in the area for a couple of…read moreyears, I decided it was time to find a new one so that I didn't have to continue driving home for appointments. I found Allisonville Dental Center through an online search and using my insurance company's website. My first appointment was in July 2022 and things were fine for the first couple things I had scheduled. The problems started when I was told I needed a crown in February 2023. I paid a reservation fee on this date to secure my appointment and was told the amount I paid would go towards the full payment for my crown. Fast forward to September 2023, and I had yet to have the crown delivered. Every appointment, which lasted about an hour, I was told the crown didn't fit properly and needed to be sent back to the lab. I went to their office a total of 8 times just for this one crown, for it never to be delivered. I ended up having to go to another dentist who was able to get me in, evaluate the crown prep that had been done, make some adjustments, and get the crown delivered all within a 2 week period. I had to make several calls to Allisonville Dental Center in order to receive the refund I was due for a service they didn't provide. The communication between the front office staff and the doctors was non-existent when it came to receiving my refund. Also make sure to pay attention to what you are charged, and what the insurance company says is allowed to be charged as there were problems with that as well. I would recommend getting a pre-determination for any service you receive to have documentation of the proper billing amounts. I was treated and spoken to in a disrespectful manner throughout this process by their billing department and was told I was rude. I tried to give them a chance throughout this process and even be amicable when parting ways due to their failure to provide a service. However, things did not end that way due to me having to constantly request my money back, of which they were trying to undercut me of. I do not recommend going to this office.

Our 8 year old son has had major oral-motor and oral sensory issues since birth, and I never thought there would be a day where he would allow a dentist to go near his mouth, but Dr. Balaban has been his dentist since our son was 4, and has been amazing with him.
