Came here to get my private pilot and almost finished, CFI went to the airlines, and others took up my training. Thats when things really went to crap. No one knew what a correct log book looked like, re did tons of training, scheduled a check ride and the DPE didn't even start the ride. My log books that were cleared by the CFI (which he charged me to review) were not acceptable to the DPE, he took my $800 and didn't even start the ride. The CFI instead of apologizing acted like I had really messed up because I was supposed to do his job for him apparently. Nothing but ego and pride letting these 23 year olds run the fixed wing show. The power trips that they got on with me was terrible. I am a very mellow, easy to get along with guy but they frustrated me. Told my story to 4 other CFI's and they all said the same thing "that sounds like a true horror story, you got screwed" Paid Platinum $15k, I got upset at the botched check ride meeting, and they said I was belligerent and kicked me out of the school with no refunds offered. I literally had no trouble at all up until check ride day. Super disappointing. I have hired a new CFI and have to go to another airport. The new guys are awesome and offered me a discount because they couldn't believe I was treated so poorly at Platinum. Hire the helicopters with Platinum, Gary is ethical, but stay away from fixed wing!

After the flight we spoke more in depth about my goals and timelines. Later I met the owners wife who helped me through pilot finance. Shortly I met my instructor who happened to be a SkyWest pilot, an excellent instructor and wealth of aeronautical knowledge. I was not asked to give this review. I was won over by the attention I received and the dedication to my success that I saw. At Platinum I feel like family, I earned my PPL prior to a deployment and will definitely be going back for the rest of my certs.

Tiedown is $5/night but waived if you buy full service fuel. When we arrived, the lineman approached us with an ice chest full of complimentary water & sodas. He assisted in pushing the plane back and tying it down. We just missed our rental car arrival cutoff for Enterprise....which is down the street and will come pick you up. But LEA had some Hertz cars on site and got us a vehicle immediately. They were very helpful and courteous. When we departed 3 days later, they checked to see if there was anything I needed for the trip back home...like more water/soda. I would definitely recommend them to anyone flying into the Salt Lake City area in a private or corporate aircraft.

Front desk administrator/receptionist told me it was normal to be called 4-5 times a day to report incidences. That was absolutely mind blowing! The differences between the two were like the difference between night and day. The check-in process here is so easy with the computer, which I love. What really sets this place apart though is the staff. I have not met one person that I'm not thrilled with how they care for my child. Everyone is very friendly and amazing with children. The polices at this daycare are exactly what we were looking for. Namely, the teachers are not allowed to use their cellphones during the day (which was not the case for our prior daycare). The facility is clean. My child feels comfortable and safe here. Finally, they will let you use re-usable diapers, which is another thing we were looking for (and our prior daycare did not allow for). I cannot recommend Kidz Academy enough.
