I applied a month ago with randstad and have not worked once with the company. The app Barely works about upcoming jobs. No communication between the home office and the employee especially tried calling numerous times. was told I was not qualified for a job told via text message after waiting weeks for the job even though I have 15 years experience doing that very job. I know I have not been denied for jobs because of my resume , maybe because my age and temp disability. This place is consistently posting on job sites. I have applied to several positions that I am extremely (if not overly) qualified for. First experience was applying for an assembly job, I applied, went through the online questionnaire, and scheduled a phone interview. After not receiving a call 30 minutes after the appointment time I sent an email asking if something had changed, I received a reply that the woman had no idea she was supposed to call as it was not in her schedule. We setup another time for her to call, went through a quick few questions and said she would contact the company to ask about a specific question. After no contact a couple days later I let the recruiter know the question was no longer relevant to my hiring and I wanted to move forward without needing to contact the company. The reply I received was that the company was going through a hiring freeze and all positions were being taken down. After several weeks, not only are the positions still on their website, they have been reposted on other job search sites. Second, I applied for a different position, another one I am severely qualified for, during the questionnaire I sent an email to the email address on the ad asking for clarification and got a response to the question and a request to let him know as soon as I finished applying so we could schedule a time to talk. As soon as I was done I replied letting him know the application was done and I was available to talk at any time. I received no response. Third, I applied for another assembly position, went through the questionnaire, scheduled a phone interview for today at 1pm. It is currently almost 2pm with no call and no communication. My experience with this company is that their automated interview system doesnt work, and they know it. For each interview I received several emails and a text message, but for some reason the recruiters have no idea? The recruiters do not convey accurate information. The recruiters do not follow through with what they say they will do. I do not understand why companies are using this place, nor do I understand how anyone is getting a job through this place. read more

This company has gone so downhill. My last contract with Randstad I was told what I would be paid per hour. When I received my first check it was short because my hourly wage was less than promised. I reached out to my recruiter Jake Dalpiaz several times, and he never responded. I reached out to HR, who never responded. I decided to let it go because the vendor I was contracted practically promised me a full time position that was opening up. On July 9th, I worked the entire day and received a call from my team lead praising my work. I got home and receive a call from the recruiter Jake telling me my name was on the list to be let go. When I asked why when I was on the list for full time, his answer was "I don't know." Uh, don't you fight for your recruits and ask questions when a contract abruptly ends? Ok, so I asked "when is my last day?" He replied "today". I asked "do you have anything else lined up?" His said "No, but you're on top of my list". That was nearly 2mths ago. I haven't heard not one word from Jake Dalpiaz or Randstad. Mind you, I've been working for them for about 2yrs stready, and on and off for years before that. They used to be a much better temp service. But I wouldn't recommend them to anyone nowadays. If I could give zero stars I would. They are just makeup on a pig right now. read more

Pros: Randstad will find you a full time job that will give you a chance to become a permanent worker. They are professional and will check up with you if everything is alright. Cons: It is a temp angency. There is no guarentee you would get a permanent posistion. I have seen many people come and go because Randstad's Clients (the jobs that go to randstad looking for disposible employees.) The Clients that i worked for were unprofessional and work was basically like school. If they dont need you they would dispose of you. I have seen people who work there a week and get layed off or fired. Remember Randstad works for those clients. read more

So I applied online to Randstad looking for office administrative positions, even though I had minimum office work experience. I worked at two different temp assignments before finding the perfect fit for me. Lauren and Brittney are amazing and so kind. Easy to contact them with any issues by phone or email. When we spoke, she had no idea about my profile, and actually confirmed me that she just pulled my resume from a random website. Three weeks ago I had a call from Ranstad after I had emailed them regarding a position they listed. They called me and told me my resume was really great, and then set up a meeting for me to come (from Stockton) to Sac, to interview with them. I followed the instructions as they were emailed to me, and because I was not asked to, I did not wear I suit. I wore a nice business top and long, straight skirt, with a very nice silver necklace with matching earrings. I put on concealer, foundation, powder, eye shadow, eye liner, masquera,, and curled my wavy hair as best as I know how. Essentially. after going through my resume, she told me the reason I wasn't getting jobs was because I hadn't 'taken the extra mile' to put on makeup or curl my hair --nor did I wear a suit. She literally told me "When you walked in, I thought, I don't know about her, based on your appearance." You would think I walked in in ripped jeans and a t shirt! I thanked her as I was in shock. She told me she would email me some tips on working on my resume, and she never did. I have heard crickets since I tried to work with them. I was humiliated and debased because I didn't fit some sort of preconceived idea about how someone should look. The only useful info was the recommendation that I wear a suit, but in my defense, she should have told me that info over the phone, or in the initial email. I worked with Randstad for about 3 weeks total on 1 assignment. The assignment was typical and would fit anyone with basic customer service and administrative skills. I didn't mind being I was reentering the workforce and knew I needed something to put on my resume for current work experience. Randstad provided that and that's where the 1 Star is given. However, the credit stops there. Not only was the staff disconnected from each other in regards to their placed staff but I have personally learned that if you don't complete the assignment (quit or ask to be reassigned) someone from the office will take it personal and will give you a less than honest job reference for future employers. Randstad contacted me after finding my resume online for a position they had listed. I followed their instructions, had the phone interview with the employer and a final face to face interview. Unfortunately, i didn't get the job since i was "too advanced" and "too cutting edge" for the opportunity. No, really. I then asked one of the two recruiters for other positions and they stated they didn't have anything available to me. I asked them to send the list over anyway and they said they would. Since then I've heard nothing from and received nothing from them. Every email I've sent to them goes unanswered - they seem to have dropped me like a hot potato. Funny since my credentials are above average (Masters from Harvard), i would of thought they'd be anxious to place me. read more

Called to see if they could provide someone to be temp help to open/close a vacant rental home for Home Depot. They were recommended as a light industrial temp agency by AppleOne. When I went for the interview I was marketing myself for the wrong position because they did not send me a job description. Horrible and unprofessional! Last year I was working with Alicia Swenson regarding a few positions. At that time, I was unsure if I would stay at my current job or leave to gain new experience. I ended up staying at my job and was promoted to management. A year later, I am no longer with the company and contacted Alicia regarding a few position I seen posted on the website. I emailed Alicia and she responded very quickly to inform me that since I did not contact her last year regarding the open positions she does not have any positions available for me. I feel this is personal and unprofessional. I originally interviewed with Jennifer Anthony who was amazing and she connected me with Lauren Filer who helped me find an amazing temp job within a few weeks, which is now my permenant place of employment and I couldn't be happier with the company they found for me. I love this place! I was referred to Alicia by my sister in law. I went in the 2nd week of January to fill out paperwork and drug test and I start my new job February 1st. She is very kind and is always willing to help. She even condensed my resume for me and helped me find the perfect place of employment. Terrible! The Summer of 2016, they sent me every day to the State Fair just to end up calling me to tell me they didn't need me that day. They gave me two weeks worth of assignments at the State Fair and called off on every one of them! I even missed a family beach overnighter because I was so diligent and committed to those assignments. I would never recommend them. And, they used me as a tax credit! I didn't work one day for them.
