This company never answers there phone. What's the deal with that! They have tons of reviews stating that and they still haven't changed.

Volt hooked me up with the most dangerous manufacturing company I have ever worked for. Master Halco in West Sac. They make chain-link fences. The job was to make sure the machines make the fences correctly. There were about ten old machines, which would all break down after about an hour. There were two of us in my position. After the first month, they let the other guy go, so the supervisor had me literally sprinting in steel-toe boots on pavement from machine to machine for 8-hour shifts. And there were no cushion mats anywhere. The Supervisor had their techs jerry-rig the old machines with coat hangers to keep them running. My sleeve got caught on one of those coat hangers and it pulled me around in circles a few times until I freed myself. Their forklift drivers constantly drove 20 mph+ within six feet of me. The drivers rarely checked to make sure the fence spools were secure on the pallet. And then they would haul overloaded pallets within feet of where I stood at my station. Those loaded pallets weighed as much as a car, and I could see the product coming loose as they drove past me. There was only one tech on swing shift, so sometimes the supervisor had me assist in repairs by climbing into the fence-weaving machines. Once the repairs were finished, the supervisor would run the machine before I had climbed out of it. There were lots of moving parts inside those machines, with only a metal bar covered in machine grease to stand on. One slip and my legs would be down inside an area of moving machinery. During my fifth and final week at Master Halco, there weren't enough staff to help with heavy lifting, so I had to lift 70 pound spools of fencing by myself using my finger tips, which hurt like hell. After a week of lifting spools by myself, my wrist finally gave out. I called the Manager, Curt, six hours before my shift began, asking for a day off to heal. He didn't bother calling me back. Instead he called up Volt and told them I "didn't want to do the work that is required of me". Unbelievable. I was fired hours before my shift began. And there was literally no else to replace me. I was the last guy working that position. The Supervisor and one of the techs were all that was left on Swing. Swing had the same quota as day shift, but day shift had about ten employees. Swing, only two. My point of contact at Volt was Stormi. She's the one who got me that dangerous job. She asked me what happened. I told her about my wrist hurting and began to tell her about the safety issues, but she cut me off. Instead of listening, she asked me questions about the other employee Master Halco had fired a week earlier. I told her the supervisor said they fired the other employee because he was lazy. Stormi got upset and said she didn't appreciate me talking about the other employees like that. She said if another job comes available, she'd give me call, then she hung up. No call ever came. That's okay though. Volt doesn't mind working with terrible companies. read more

One of the receptionist needs training on customer service, the way she speaks to people is really unprofessional for someone who's English is not their first language they tend to have more difficulty on following instructions. He was told to wait they will be with him shortly the nicer receptionist told him this. The rude one I believe said yes? Been working for them the last few months and management has been the worst so far. Got COVID & didn't get paid for two weeks like they said they would. Tried contacting them about my return only to get ignored. Roommate has also gotten ignored throughout the whole things. They'll hire you. Which is the only good thing. Besides that, you're better off somewhere else. Unless you don't plan on having important discussions that will only get you ignored. Recommend if you just want a job. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! This temp agency is a JOKE! Staffs are very unprofessional, they don't communicate with their employees, you have to go and ask if you get confused about pretty much everything. You get lucky if they will ever get back to you. The staff assigned in Building 2 or Building B named Pam Contreras, she is rude, she yells at the hallway like she's at the boot camp, so annoying and disrespectful! She seems to have a very poor ability in regards to dealing with people. She's unfit for the position she's assigned. Their coordinators just sits their lazy asses on those tiny cubicle all day... I guess that's how they get paid for. Anyways, if you're looking for a temporary job, look or search other good companies, their are good ones out there. You see one star reviews for a reason. Though if you are looking to be employed by Volt for a contract position, you can read mine. Volt does not care for you. They are a staffing agency. They will gladly stick you in a position and then you are on your own. Does Volt help you get employed there? Nope. That's on you. Never once did Volt explain to me how to get employed at Apple. I had to figure that out myself. You might as well see where they'll stick you and then apply to the job directly via the company site. You might think Volt did something terribly wrong to me. They didn't. They got me into a job to help build my resume and from there I got a better job. However, you should know what you are getting into if you get employed by them. I saw too many people who have worked years in some dead end position with Volt. I do not want this to happen with you. That's why I leave this review. Horrible customer service, the ladies at the front desk are very unprofessional, they speak bad on clients blatantly in front of other clients waiting in the seated area. The managers are hard to get ahold of and honestly have no empathy, they give false information. I like the companies they work with but as a company themself they have alot to work on. I work for them turned in a paper timecard due to badging issues before the deadline. Still got shorted on my pay. I screenshot the email time and date. Advised them that i do not work for free, and that if i was to cheat the company time i would be fired. When you all cheat your employees we just get an apology. I also advised them that i was taking a day off to make up for time loss. Since this seems to be an issue. I was reminded of the attendance policy. I worked for apple computers though them; I ended up hurting my back by lifting and twisting. Horrible pain, the on site volt agent left me in pain sitting at her office while she trained some one for 3 hours, I tore something in my back and left me almost paralyzed for a week. She had watched me squirm in pain, until I cried so much I yelled, "What is wrong with you I need to go to the hospital" they told me if I retracted my contract with apple they would help me get a call position, instead they left me jobless then told me because I hurt myself on the job they could no longer help me because I was a liability after wasting my time with gas money driving to the site waiting for them to tell me that news thinking the whole time they would help me out. I strongly dislike them, they are all rude and act better then you, look down on you because you are going to them for a job, it's the high and mighty act. Volt on Greenhaven in Sacramento is one of those agencies where you really don't feel comfortable and kinda wish to leave out the place asap. Mostly the attitude of the receptionist(who acts like she owns the place) isnt very warm at all. They are not good about finding you another assignment once you are done with the one they sent you to. I'm a college student and was thinking about doing an internship in the summer. Someone told me to check out Volt, so I went there to their so called "job fair." But WOW I cannot believe what I see. Their CUSTOMER SERVICER WAS SO TERRIBLE. Their staffs are very rude and unprofessional. If you ask questions, they will often ignore you. They treat the applicants who don't speak English well with no respect at all. Also, the front desk employees act like they are smarter than the applicants. I honestly don't know the purpose of this company. They are rude, lazy, and beyond unprofessional. I worked for volt on and off for 8 months, and only held a position because the company (MSI) personally requested me. I was told that after 90 days That I would be hired on. MSI is also useless, and now I know why they do business with volt. I worked very hard doing manual labor in a sweatshop of a warehouse... for minimum wage. From time to time, business was so bad that they would send me home for weeks at a time. When I contacted Volt about possible placement elsewhere, they told me that I was not qualified for any of their positions. During the periods of time that I was back at MSI, I worked with several other Volt temps who I guess were qualified. Well, if being drunk on the job and proving incapable of performing the most simple of tasks is considered qualified, than yes, I didn't fit that requirement. MSI never hired me on as promised, even though my responsibilities multiplied, and Volt refused to assist me in finding other employment, so I took it upon myself to look elsewhere. I was Lucky. I wish I could say the same for my boyfriend. He worked there for 4 months. When I left, he not only had to continue doing his own job, but mine as well. He was also responsible for training other temps, because MSI loves the cheap labor that they themselves refuse to perform. They told him that he might get hired on faster if he worked harder. In the end, Gentry Jones, the warehouse manager, sat him down and told him that he just wasn't good enough, and that they needed somebody with a family of mouths to feed, that that kind of pressure creates drive. He said MSI was his Rome and that he was Ceasar. He said that he in fact was bringing in a replacement that had children, but to call back in two weeks in case it doesn't work out. Yes folks. Terminated for NOT having children. He just wasn't desperate enough to be abused for $8 an hour, so they found someone who would. You would think that Volt might be interested in protecting their employees from such abuse and discrimination, right? Nope. That would mean they would have to do their jobs, and I think I covered earlier that they are absolutely useless in that respect. They did nothing. They asked "what do you want US to do about it? Things are really slow right now, and we have no assignments anyway." This is probably the most degrading experience either of us has ever experienced. We are still currently looking into our options, including contacting the state labor board, and the better business bureau. read more

So sad to see and hear that the employees working in this Agency still does a lousy job. I was there few years back and was very disappointed the way they messed up my timesheet even if I was the one who filled my own timesheet. Every single week its the same time and hours, they still messed up my hours under paying me 3 times in a 4month period. I soon quit the job since they were going through Volt and I was on probation, not being able to higher me til then. They told me to just hang on but I can't deal with Volt screwing up my paycheck every other week! ITs the same hours and schedule every week, no miss days, no miss hours! ugh I either get my paycheck late or messed up. They had a thing that if "I" refer a friend i'll get $50, guess what? they messed up and gave my friend the $50 instead. I asked them to fix it and they never did. Took them over a month to give me my last paycheck. I wasn't the only one with late paychecks. They are also horrible with communications. They never call back even if they say they will. You'll have to keep calling in hope to get to talk to your recruiter about any situations. Now my husband wanting to get in a company that has to go through Volt too. The company says they are hiring so tell Volt to get him in. When he calls in and ask, they keep telling him that the company is NOT hiring at the moment. We just got a call saying the company changed their Agency. Volt in Sacramento and Stockton, is not what I would recommend. read more

I email her she ask what link I remind her of the position she replies oh yeah the link doesn't work and tells me to takes these test for a job I'm not interested in because of the distance being too far well I guess she didn't like that answer because when I asked how can I still apply if the link is broken? Horrible experience. I have been trying to get a job with Apple through volt for over a year now. My recruiters name was CINDI. I kept having to resend my emails to get her to even respond to me. Every time I called she was never available. Had me come up to the office twice, and I didn't even see her either times. Had me go through the hiring process all over again and when it came down to my start date she never emailed me back. So unprofessional and unorganized.
