She scheduled their technician Juan who came a few days later, earlier than the scheduled time, to diagnose the problem which turned out to be a blown transformer. Parts were ordered and the initial repair was made by Juan and Trevor a week or so later not knowing the heating element had also gone out. That part was ordered and Monica scheduled them to return after the Christmas holiday for the final repair. It was a pricy repair, but living in a rural area, we did not have the choice of replacing our microwave or finding the size and style that met our needs. To diagnose the problem it took about 15 min max. Most of the work was already done as part of the diagnostic and all that needed to be done was to clip on the new igniter for the oven. I looked up the part and not even the OEM part was that high of a cost. I didn't quite see the value of the diagnosis or the quote. Once I declined the quote demeanor changed a bit. Didn't find the quote to be fair and I was not satisfied with the result. Now I gotta replace it myself, I'm not paying for another 15 min diagnosis. UPDATE: I replaced the igniter myself. Literally took me about 10 mins to replace. All I had to do was clip the new one in. A YouTube video saved me hundreds. Some of these repairmen overvalue their expertise I guess. Glad I didn't pay the outrageous price for such a simple job especially since I knew what the problem was be before the diagnosis.

We(Sierra Park Villas) contracted JDB for hardscape concrete retaining walls and some concrete…read morestairs. I do not recommend them for finish concrete work. 1. Jordan is very unprofessional in his behavior. During construction Jordan verbally abused one of our board members and two other owners who were present during a progress discussion. We had to ask him to leave the property. 2. Make sure if you use them that your plans are part of the details in the quote. We provided drawings and pictures with details documented. These were also submitted to the city and were approved as the details for the build. His bid ultimately did not reference this document which led to disputes on what was to be built. At one point we had to frame out one of the concrete walls ourselves to get the project done. 3. The concrete work is subpar. The main retaining wall, which was framed as a straight wall, is now curved. Their forms bulged during the setting process and they failed to correct it in time. The finish work, which was to be brushed concrete is a mess. Air pockets on the surface, deep form impressions and uneven surfaces is what we ended up with. When they came out to clean it up and make it right it just got worse. We paid them but I don't see us using them again unless they are willing to make it look like it should. Pictures don't lie.
