When I called to inquire about the reason for the reschedule, I was informed that the technician was dealing with a family emergency involving his son. I expressed my sympathy and concern for the technician and his family. However, I also explained that I had taken time off work specifically to be home for the appointment and asked whether the company had another technician available or any contingency plans in place when emergencies arise. Unfortunately, the supervisor, Sara, became very hostile during the conversation. Rather than addressing my concerns professionally, she raised her voice and repeatedly asked if I did not understand that the technician had an emergency with his son. At no point did I question the seriousness of the emergency. I was simply trying to understand what options the company had available after I had rearranged my work schedule. I am genuinely sorry for what the technician and his family are going through, and emergencies happen. My disappointment is not with the technician but with the way I was treated by management. A little empathy and professionalism would have gone a long way. Customers should not be made to feel unreasonable for asking questions after taking time off work and having an appointment canceled at the last minute.

Found Garge Door and Spring Repair LLC @ https://ifixgaragedoors.net on Yelp, with only 2 reviews but they were very highly rated. Gave them a call at around 2:PM and the owner, Antonio answered. They were on a job at the time but he said they should be able to stop by between 4:30 - 5:00pm I agreed and texted him the address. He replied to confirm receipt about a minute later. Antonio texted me again at about 3:45pm to say they were running a bit long on the job. He asked if we could move the time back to 5:30, I said, no problem! He showed up just before 5:30pm with his partner Daniel and went right to work. They gave us a quote to repair the broken Spring and recommended we replace both Springs based on the age. The total price was under $300 and ook about an hour to complete the job and gave us a 5 year warranty! My parents were thrilled with them and I really appreciate their professionalism, response rate, and fair dealing. My parents also appreciated him being Bi-lingual in Spanish too! The owner, Johnathon Minerd, has provided excuse after excuse and now demands we pay another $400 or drive to Orlando to pick up the replacement ourselves--after already being fully paid. We later found out they are not licensed in Florida, and the address and credentials provided were false. We've filed complaints with the Attorney General, BBB, and Consumer Fraud Division.
