If I could, I would give no stars when I talk to the technician he asked what the problem was. I told him he said it shouldn't be a problem. So $125 dollars and five minutes later he tried to upsell me. He said that the belt to my opener was secondary to like three different that kept getting higher. The home warranty not pay for it so I'm out $125. When I got to tech Know my frustration he sent me another estimate and said he could not fix the belt. He finished all his work within 3 to 4 hours, that means installing a new motor that is Bluetooth connected to my phone and my Amazon account for when packages are delivered. First I would say the technician was capable and good. However, the company is not honest. We have home warranty and when our spring broke, they cover the spring replacement. Generally, replacement of spring would involve balancing the door. Balancing the door is absolutely required and typically included whenever garage door springs are replaced. Springs bear the entire weight of the door, and a replacement is incomplete without testing and adjusting the tension so the door operates smoothly. They said that they will not replace the spring unless I buy the balacing service for $250. I have called around and almost everyone said that balancing is standard. This company is a scam and will not use them again. The total cost was $100 for home warranty and $225 for balancing the door after spring replacement. (I did go ahead and pay it, since they took 5 days to come to fix it and we really needed to get it done. ) read more

My Garage was under warranty and this company was sent out. The technician did an assessment of my garage door and said the door was fine but the gears were worn on the unit. He took some pictures and left. An hour later I got declined because he said my door was out of balance which caused the unit to break! I immediately took videos and sent it to the company showing that nothing was wrong with my door. The manager agreed and changed the diagnosis with my warranty company. My warranty company offered 100.00 because they don't understand why the diagnosis was sent in error. #1 Garage wants me to pay 628.00 for their technician's mistake! Horrible situation and Horrible customer service. The videos were too long to attach. Edit: I was contacted by a Manager with the company and they are going to replace my unit at no cost to me. I am grateful that they took responsibility and are making it right. Kudos to them. I still canceled my contract with my warranty company though because even though I understand their concern with the conflicting reports, I feel as though since I had been with them for 4 years and never filed a claim, I shouldn't have been denied for something that was completely out of my control. I had my garage repaired by #1 Garage Door, LLC in February 2025, paying over $600 out of pocket for their services. I was assured that the work came with a warranty. However, less than two months later, on April 26, 2025, the garage malfunctioned again. I contacted the company immediately. The receptionist acknowledged that my repair was under warranty and, although the original technician was no longer with them, she assured me that a technician would contact me the following Monday or Tuesday. On Monday, April 28, I received a text from the company stating they could not fulfill my request because they no longer had a technician in my area. They apologized for the "miscommunication," but that was the last I heard from them. I replied to that message reminding them the service was under warranty and asked how they intended to resolve the issue. I received no response. I followed up again on Tuesday, April 29, and still have not received any response. This company claims to stand by their work with a warranty, but clearly does not feel obligated to honor it. No one has contacted me, returned my calls, or offered any solution. I expected more after spending over $600 for a repair that didn't last even two months. Used this company through our home warranty company, Hunter came out didn't want to diagnose our existing garage door issues, just wanted us to upgrade to a new garage door opener "which wasn't covered by our home warranty Co." He suggested the Cambridge garage door opener "saying it was the best and quietest on the market" we looked it up online and it indeed said it was one of the best and quietest on the market, so we went ahead and upgraded to the Cambridge, after installation was completed Hunter mentioned "that it was a little loud" and he went on his way. We were promised an additional remote by Hunter "said he'd ship it to us" after a week we still hadn't gotten it so we called we were then told "my boss said no" Meanwhile the opener is still noisy so we decide to call and see what can be done about it, Hunter comes to our house "with another opener in his truck" but only tightens the chain and says he can't replace it with out his bosses approval but he will be back because it is too noisy, after a week with no call back we again call the office and are told the supervisor wasn't available for two weeks.
