Have gone here for a few years. It's great! I really like bringing my kid here to get some range time in, and get him used to what it's like to be around guns and other shooters. This range used to have a Groupon deal that they don't accept anymore, and it has been an even better place to shoot since they stopped doing that :) Staff is friendly and professional. Something that's different here is that the other shooters here are also always really nice. Whether it's cops in uniform with their service weapons or groups 20-somethings with a bunch of guns they brought in a dirty pillow case, everyone always seems cool. Monday, 6/16 5:55pm I walk in and yes, I was greeted but as I'm walking toward the store area there's a trash can to my left, and the worker who greeted me shoots some trash to the can RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE! I moved and this is closer to where I live now and I had hoped this range had changed as far as service, aesthetics and attitude from the last time I visited a year ago. No such luck. Let's cut to the chase, because this exceeded my expectations. Location: To me this seems super remote, which I loved. Out of the gun ranges I've been to in Alabama and Georgia, this is my favorite for sure. Parking was easy, the highway entrance is close and up the street, and the staff... Customer service: As soon as we opened the door we saw a line of people waiting for lanes. This is a popular spot (due to their location), so patience is key. They move fast! Ro helped us. As much as he smiled and had an upbeat mood, it was obvious that he loved his job, and it was proven the whole time we were there. Super helpful and I asked tons of questions, which showed his patience. He never got mad, but said "that's what I'm here for!" Danny, The Holster Man (makes customized holsters that are seamless under your clothes), was phenomenal. He provided the best customer service I've gotten anywhere in months. He was helpful, wanted us to know what we were doing, never pushed us away when we wanted more answers, and was very honest with us even if it meant not making a sale, which he did anyway. The range: It's just like any other range, honestly. Not even going to lie. The thing that set this one apart was the fact that the other customers seemed so friendly. We were next to some younger adults who were trying out their gun with their uncle. We were having trouble with ours, so one of them helped us and got us set up. It was great! Love the atmosphere here from customer to patron. Note: don't forget your I.D. and relax. Some people come riled up. Definitely not the place for that. I wanted to learn how to shoot & hopefully get rid of my fear of guns. I stumbled across this place, they offer a gun safety class with range shooting time where they teach you how to shoot for $30 but you have to sign up on their website in advance. Our instructor (I forgot his name) was a former navy seal, he was great! He taught us all the laws, answered all questions we had & even gave us tips when buying & wearing a concealed gun. When it came to learning how to shoot I was internally freaking out but he was calm, cool & collected so it made the process so much easier & I would've been a wreck if my instructor wasn't so calm. Other employees were there to help us out as well, they were very nice. I cannot wait to return, they said I did very well for my first time. Am I still nervous? Range was pretty quiet for a while. You can shoot rifles so it worked for us. Ammo is reasonably priced if you need some. Prices weren't too bad, lots is attendants working so questions we easy to get answered. Only thing that was maybe not so great is no one cleans up the shells... We always have a good experience at this location . The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and straight to the point. They always have a Groupon on sale for $30 . It's an older range but it get the job done . Directly off the exit . One thing for sure they do not play about the smell Of marijuana. Used these guys to handle an FFL "transfer in" of 2 guns I purchased online from a web vendor. Very helpful, reasonable FFL fees. Sean "Wick" :-) was especially courteous to my wife, who felt very comfortable asking him misc questions as she is fairly new to the sport. I remarked to Sean that people should not be the primary firearms instructor to their significant others. A third party is best in this. I also found this true when I tried to teach my daughters to drive. Spoiler alert: "pay a driving school, your ulcers will thank you". Very unprofessional. The lady with the dreads was extremely rude. I will NEVER come here again. If this were the only range in the world I still would pass it up. I was accused of pointing a loaded gun at someone which was not true. The gun was not loaded nor in my hand. A bullet was not even in the chamber. I didn't appreciate how I was being treated or talked to. The lady was speaking in a very sarcastic tone. She's very lucky I did not curse her out. This review is from a very recent visit to this business and I made two purchases at this location I live in downtown ATL and drove to this location in Forest Park It's located right off of I-85 down the road from KOD (everyone knows where KOD is!!!) This place was cool I purchased a groupon and got a great discount. Once I got there they us sign a safety voucher, quickly verified my voucher from Groupon and got me set up with a pistol and a lane. The people behind the counter were kind and eager to make sure everyone was helped. We didn't get any training we were just told where to go and given the gun and ammunition. This was probably because I told them I wasn't a beginner but my friend was so she should've gotten some kind of training. Other than that it was a great experience. I absolutely enjoyed my time here. I walked in nervous, but I was very confident. Mr. Pete, the instructor was amazing. He went over a lot of useful information, and he made sure we knew the 4 rules to controlling and handling a gun. I've always had a fear for guns, but Mr. Pete, made that fear go away. He called me Rambo, and that boosted my confidence a little more. I will definitely be making this my go to spot for Sundays. Where do I begin? When we walked in, after waiting to be helped for a few minutes, we were finally told by an employee to sign in and that we would be helped. After that, we were helped promptly. We brought in our own guns to use, including a rifle, meaning we needed a rifle lane. I was with my boyfriend and our friend, so we paid for 2 lanes for the three of us. Two people in one rifle lane was $30, which in my experience is on the higher side, but I'm willing to pay for quality. Now, when we were checked out, we were not informed of the 1-hour limit in the rifle range. And when we were checked out, the guy at the counter told us someone was in the rifle range spending the last of their bullets. That meant that the time on our ticket (4:40 pm) was partially used by this other person. Not much, but the system kind of didn't make sense. Anyway, we got in, started shooting. I started with our 9mm to warm up and my boyfriend and I were taking turns in our lane. Time flies when you're having fun.. so about 5:30 rolls around and this girl walks in and tells us she needs to see our receipts. Hold up... who even are you?! She wasn't identifying herself as an employee and was being a bit blunt and even a little rude. She looked at our tickets and walked back out. Just a minute later, she called through the speaker that our time was up. But wait.. it was 5:35 and by my count, we had 5 more minutes left. And we were gonna try and finish our mags, but she said it again and we just left. We were mad. Not once did the man cashing us out mention the time limit. And even if we had seen it, we missed out on 5-10 minutes of our $30 hour because of the guy who was in the lane before us and because this employee cut us off 5 minutes short of our hour. This is my money, I am paying for a service and not even getting fully what we paid for. I stayed behind to pack up our guns, but when my boyfriend and friend went out to ask about the one hour time limit, my boyfriend mentioned the man who was still using the lane when we paid for it and the fact that nobody informed us of the time limit or at least when we needed to be done in there, and this girl said "that's above my pay grade" RIGHT NEXT TO HER MANAGER! And we were going to speak to a manager but he was making a sale at the time and we would have had to waste even more time there. Now, on to the facility itself. It looks really nice from the outside. On the inside, however, it is just alright. Nothing special. It wasn't terrible. The range itself was a different story. There was trash on the floor of the very tiny rifle range when we got in and the trash can was mostly full. There were shells all over the floor, which can be really irritating. There also was no broom or anything in the rifle range, which meant that if we wanted to clean up our area, we would need to use our tiny amount of time in the range to clean up after someone else? Uhhh, no. That should have been dealt with beforehand. Did I mention that I don't mind paying steeper prices for quality experiences?? This was absolutely not the quality that I expected for $30 lane. All in all, I feel that we were treated disrespectfully by the receipt-demanding employee and I feel also that our concerns were blatantly ignored. This was a gigantic waste of $30 and we will NEVER be back. Hopefully the owner will reach out to me.. or at least train the staff better on these procedures. read more

I can't speak highly enough of the service the staff provides! I found myself on a return trip to Atlanta for work related matters. Ron and Derrick were very accommodating and friendly. Usually when you go to a range and rent firearms for use, you tend to get surprised by the cost of the ammunition. That was not the case at this straightforward "no drama" range. Coupled with a good selection of recently released hardware and if your experience mirrored mine, you'll certainly say you had a good time. Even though it was a busy weekend, I did not feel rushed. Really good range and very friendly staff but be ready to spend an extra 20$ on ear and eye protection for each person if you don't have any. They do offer training and AR building classes for decent prices, however they are on the expensive side when it comes to buying products from them. read more

Okay this is why I give this place a 4 star. They had a variety of the latest handguns, machine guns, riffles, safes, and carry conceal items available. And not to mention they are experienced in the type of weapon that you want to buy. AS a woman I wanted a carry conceal strap that would fit and stay put while running or on a hike and IMPORTANTLY hidden. My helper spent an hour showing me and letting me try on the carry conceal strap on, which included jumping up and down and running around like a fool. So I was please that they had patience with me, not to mention the ammo prices were super cheap, I've been to ranges and the ammo was so expensive. The only thing I didn't like was the range was a little beat up, but hey as long as you can shoot a target right. I like this location much better than the one off 85 North. The guys seem much friendlier. We came here yesterday and it was pretty packed, but we were assured that turnover was very quick. Sure enough, we were waiting no longer than 5 minutes before we were assigned a lane. You know what the best part about this range is? They have cold air blowing in the lanes. Now, it might be a little chilly, but I would rather be cold than hot, and without that A/C blowing, it would have gotten really hot with all the people in there, firing their guns. For once, I wasn't sweating bullets (no pun intended). Minus one star only for the sketch location with the pot-hole ridden driveway. I wasnt impressed. I purchased a certificate from a deal of the day site for. It was good for 2 people. So a friend of mine and I went hoping to use the certificate. The person who helped us basically told us we neede to take a $100 4/hr class in order to shoot at this location. We explained that we were familiar with shooting and and also with firearm safety. He still said we needed to take the class or come back with someone who had taken their class. We went to the car and called the other location they have in atlanta. They were super nice and advised us that we could shoot at their location with no proble. Stopped into here trying to find a range that's close to downtown and not Quickshot. It was alright. Range is a bit dim, target system is ghetto (some of the targets sagged badly... I don't want to practice shooting a 4 foot tall person). Ceiling/walls are in bad shape from stray shots. Staff were decent. Not overly friendly but they got us what we needed. Paid about $30 for two shooters and 6 targets (brought our own guns/ammo). Seems reasonable enough. I was not overly impressed but will probably go back when I don't feel like driving up to the northern suburbs to go somewhere I like better. read more

I would recommend this location and probably will return. I've been there twice - both times on a weekday afternoon. The first time was at the beginning of this year. I went to meet my BFF and shoot with a Groupon for a 2-person deal. She didn't show up but the manager worked with me to let me shoot with the coupon and still get a discount so my trip to the range wasn't wasted. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was fairly new to shooting at the time but the guy who checked me in accompanied me to my lane, reviewed some safety basics and came back to check on me several times. That made me feel more comfortable about shooting alone. My second trip was a few weeks ago and I found that the staff was still friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I noticed that the guys did a thorough job of explaining the rules, answering questions and helping customer (especially ladies and new shooters) to feel encouraged about their decision to learn how to safely handle firearms. This time, I brought my own equipment and ammo so the check-in process was fairly quick. Ronnie was great. He helped me to adjust my grip and stance and my accuracy rate went way up. If you're looking for uptown, millennial, froufrou ambiance and décor, this not the place for you. The facility is not as big, modern and fancy as some of the midtown ranges but it serves the purpose and the staff more than makes up for the basic look of the place. I felt closed in and in the beginning I was jumpy when I heard the gun shots, in my defense it was my first time, thank goodness for ear protection gear. Ill go again if my bf drags there.
