First time at Quickshot - targets are $2-3. Came mid morning on Saturday and there was only one other person (getting a lesson). Security/Lane Check was very attentive and did scold us for breaking rule 4 (you cannot pass a firearm unless it is in a carrier between lanes) because we were trading/comparing. It was unloaded but still a no-no. Shells were frequently swept. Nice powder pads to clean your shoe soles off upon exit. No signs to wash hands and face post shooting but I guess each place is different. Oh - guests of members shoot free ... so if you and a buddy want to share a membership ... it could work. read more

Spur of the moment fun with my boyfriend. We're from CA, so when they asked if we wanted fully automatic I froze lol and had to think for a second. We just did the semi-auto just so we can have a slower fun time. It was my boyfriend's first time shooting a rifle (M-16), so it's best to go that route. I was able to show him the ropes and enjoy the moment. We were greeted immediately and everyone was super friendly and helpful. Pretty energetic to say the least, like they were excited for us. Love this place. Everybody there is bad ass ex-military. They have really interesting pistols and rifle as well as machine guns. They have a yearly plan that is very affordable if you most use your own guns and anmo. You also get free access to one semiautomatic at a time. The machine guns aren't included. If you use their guns you have to pay for their ammo but it's worth it to have a kick ass birthday shooting HK MP10 or a GP2. They even have a tommy gun! read more

Super convenient if you're in the area. Has 7 lanes out to about 15 yards and $18 per hour. They sell paper targets for about $2-$3 and rent ear protection for about $2, if needed. Ammo sounded pricey (about $1/round for 9mm, I believe) so BYOA (bring your own ammo). Good place to get some trigger time in. read more

DO NOT do FFL transfers with these people they're the worst.. they make up excuses as to why you can't pick up what you purchased.. I have used them only out of necessity and EVERY TIME they do transfer for me there's a problem I always have to wait several days to pick up my purchase after it's delivered.. the first time they claimed they stopped doing transfers and had to send it to another Quickshot to do the transfer although I had to select them from a list of local FFL dealers the second time they claimed they don't do transfers on Fridays even though my last transfer was on a Friday. I've wanted to go shooting for a long time and purchased a Groupon to Quickshot. Upon my arrival with two friends the small parking lot was almost full because a group had a meet-up. The sign in registration process seem a tad complicated because the person checking us in review the basics quickly leaving me with questions. She did ask if this was our first time and we acknowledged that it was.. yet she was not thorough and appeared to be annoyed. Once we got our gear (targets, goggles, headset, ammunition and gun), we were to shown to the shooting area. The staff in the room was friendly, professional and helpful in showing us how to load the gun and work the system to get our targets in place. Checking out with the same person who checked us in also seemed a tad complicated. She suggested a coupe of times that we split the ticket 3 ways, even though I treated 1 friend and the other was paying for himself. The facility is clean and well organized. They even have coffee and donuts in the waiting area. Overall we had a good time. Would definitely return. read more

Visited on a Saturday about a month ago. I brought about 1000 rounds to shoot that day. Bought a few targets. On the lanes there was a large group of friends shooting and having a really good time. I set up my target and started firing to zero in a new optic. I managed to get a few shots in before the knuckleheads at the range started shooting across lanes, and shooting my target. Being a silly, careless dummy at a gun range is how negligent discharges happen. I packed up immediately and told the guy at the counter what was happening and that I had planned to shoot much more, but had to leave for safety reasons. He explained that it's always crazy on weekends, and to come back during the week when nobody was there. Wasn't concerned at all about the lack of safety or etiquette. Still charged me full price regardless of my 5 minutes of range time. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody that's serious about training, or would prefer to not get shot by some giggling idiot. read more

Been shooting here for about two years, however they've changed management, I came in to shoot and realized I forgot a card in my wallet, so instead of firing right away I texted a friend to see if I left my card at work, this was cause for alarm apparently. As the lane safety approached me and asked if I was alright, I told him I was good to go. I was then told not to fire my weapon, I asked what was wrong and was simply told that the owner was watching the cams and was concerned. It being "this time of year" I executed proper lane and firearm safety, I was respectful, and despite shooting here repeatedly they were concerned. Good on them for being alert during the holidays at least , although the new management is obviously paranoid. So bad on them for making the wrong call. Ammo is also a bit expensive here, compared to other ranges. Looks like I won't be shooting here again. read more

Last year I joined quick shot when they were running a special.. the people working here are knowledgeable, respectful, safety, oriented, and extremely professional. In my humble opinion, if you own a firearm, you need to practice regularly, so you are constantly familiar with the operation and safety of a firearm. First, the staff welcomes you as soon as you enter, secondly, they had Krispy Kreme Donuts, Tea & Water for there guest and a a nice lounge area to hang out. They have great guns to rent & you are secure with staff monitoring the guest and how they manage their equipment at all times. We felt completely safe! I came in honest. Never triggered a firearm I'm my life. "I have a baby on the way and would like to learn how to use a gun" , I said. They gave me a 22 and charged me close to $90 dollars. I didn't know at the time that a 22 was basically a glorified BB gun. "Would this even stop an intruder", I asked. "No" was the the reply. I'm still on my gun high, haha. My bf and I have never shot guns before, so I figure it'd be a fun activity for us. I had NO idea this place was hidden away on Druid Hills. I'll come here often probably. It's close to us! Parking is ok - the lines are kind of confusing, but the warehouse that Quickshot is in - the parking kind of has no choice to be. The inside is pretty big surprisingly! They had a lounge + magazines for people to sit and entertain themselves if they had friends still shooting. Looked nice, can tell they put effort into their display. I think all guns are displayed in their shelves. We're new so.. we just used the 9mm Glock. Ammo was 20 bucks? We bought 2 and we were fine for an hour or so. One day I'll use a rifle! We also received eye and ear gear. I thought ear plugs were the norm, but I was happy to use a headset :) Our instructor was really patient with me haha. I'm already jumpy as it is, so... when I heard other guns go off, I jumped a lot. I also had no idea a 9mm gives so much force when you shoot it. The first time I shot the gun, the instructor put the palm of his hand on my back , I'm glad he did. I was like wtf? How does this little gun.... The instructor we had was very good at explaining how to get everything done. Extra star. I'm a complete idiot when it comes down to machinery like that. They do have week day specials including date night, ladies night, if your older than 50 years old, and etc. Ask ahead! Is this a lounge or a shooting range? Atlanta always does everything big, but in a Southern charm way. You will be blown away when you walk in, because it looks nothing like a shooting range, more like an art industrial style studio with trendy paintings along the walls. They also have cookies, coffee, and doughnuts! It is modern, clean, well ventilated. The staff is friendly and approachable. They don't sell guns here, but you can rent them. It is $16 hour to rent the lane which doesn't include the gun rental and the bullets. It was my first time shooting a gun and I was a bit scared, but I had a blast. Everyone said I was a natural. ;) I would definitely recommend this place for a first timer or a gun owner who wants to sharpen up their skills. Enjoy :) read more

Clean, well-ventilated, friendly, and approachable. Lanes for long-guns, too. Please note: They don't sell guns here. This is a shooing range only, with guns available for rent (for which you must buy the range ammo, of course). Staff here was very friendly. Help was clearly available if we needed it, and the range-master did actively sweep up brass throughout our stay. The price tag for an hour of range-time was a little high, so if you plan on shooting here with any frequency, an annual membership may be the way to go. But let me reiterate that the place is clean and well-kept. There's a very different "loft-ish" feel which differentiates this place from other ranges I've visited. And the folks I met definitely did not give the "hardcore, libertarian, gun-advocate" vibe. (No judgements from me, I've been accused of worse.) And yes. Wanted to share a great experience we had at Quickshot and a practical "date night" idea for those of you considering the purchase of a firearm but don't know where to start. Or heck, still a great deal if you already own one. Quickshot was highly recommended by our East Lake neighbors. Given this summer's crime spree, we recently exercised our 2nd amendment rights and purchased a firearm for home defense (Adventure Outdoors -Smyrna). We bought a no-nonsense HD shotgun - a Mossberg 500 Persuader (12ga). I've now been twice to this range, and while my first experience was great (first time ever shooting a gun...EVAR!), the second trip stood out. On this Thursday night the Mrs. and I went to Quickshot with another couple that lives in Ormewood for "date night" at the range so the ladies could familiarize themselves with proper gun safety and our home defense guns. The date night rate is an awesome deal: $30/couple includes gun rental, range lane, ear and eye protection. You can try as many kinds of their guns as you'd like - just pay for ammunition and targets. We shared a lane, shot 4 kinds of guns, and got out of there for about $43/couple. I also think the ladies enjoyed seeing other couples/women in there so they were less intimidated by the whole thing. Gun ownership isn't for everyone, i know. If you're on the fence about home defense this is an excellent opportunity to find out if you're comfortable with guns in the first place and zero in on the caliber that fits your preference. This is the only shooting range inside the perimeter and it is close to my house. Most ranges are either too dark, small, and poorly ventilated. Quickshot is completely the opposite and they have tons of room to grow - they are adding another 7 longer lanes soon. Staff is super friendly and the pricing is on par with other ranges close by, but they are not the cheapest. I think the convenience of having an in town range and a nice new facility, I definitely will be back. read more

For the most most part this place was pretty good. It is cool, like half art gallery half gun range. We,ve been there a few times and I wanted to be sure it wasn't an off day before I wrote the review. They have coffee and candy and comfortable chairs if you need to wait in the guns really aren't loud if you're in the waiting room. I guess that's a really good thing for the people who work there. And they have so many guns to pick from. The restrooms are strange like you're going to your friends loft but they do have the special soap that I guess cleans the gun powder off of your hands. They have a wide selection of targets and you can even shoot zombies. So what's my problem right? This place sounds awesome. I get that they have to be stern, I mean these are guns! For the most part they seem very concerned about safety. So if somebody yells at somebody else because they're doing something stupid I totally get that. But there's a difference between that and just being rude. From the second we walked in I got the stink eye from this girl and she had the "I don't wanna have to bother with you guys" attitude. We didn't even have a chance to do anything stupid yet, lol. Most of the staff seemed very professional and know their stuff but there was just one girl there that was just such a bitch. You know there's entitled millennials that think that they deserve their job whether they actually have to work or not. She seems to think that it's OK to spend all day frowning and being bitchy to customers who spend a lot of money to learn how to shoot. Yeah I'm still kind of new and I have questions, but no Carmen can't be bothered to answer them, she's too busy being unfriendly or maybe flirting with guys. I was starting to think that maybe that's just what she looks like all the time but then this guy came in and she was all smiles. So I know she can be friendly if she bothers to. If you're a good looking guy you might be fine, otherwise she's going to be the most unpleasant, unfriendly, unprofessional, person you will encounter. Luckily she was not the only person there. And if you're shooting a machine gun, you really don't want her to be the person putting her hand on your shoulder. Not because she's really short but because she's just a B and you don't feel safe with somebody that has such a crappy attitude about their job. Because they probably don't care about doing a good job. And this was not an isolated incident. I happened again our second time there. One time she was in the front and one time she was in the back so they probably can't figure out where to put her either. She's clearly younger than the other employees and maybe that's the problem. I can't imagine why she got hired in the first place. When we were done we were at the counter and we are ready to check out and there was no other people there and she was cleaning some stuff and she made us wait a very long time like again she couldn't be bothered to do her job she kept looking at us and then back to cleaning those ear thingys. You can do those with no ones waiting. It was like we were interfering with her job rather than being part of her job. There was some guy next to us with so many guns, and he could tell I was getting irritated and he looked over at us and he kind of smiled and nodded like yeah, she's that way. I told my boyfriend let's just leave, if they don't want our $200, we can go spend it somewhere else. If you read through some of the other reviews you can hear that we are not the only people that have a problem with this person. Whenever the terms rude, unhelpful, unfriendly, show up, there she is. So we just found out that they were open to even though in the middle of this quarantine and my boyfriend asked me if we wanted to go shoot and I got really excited, and then I remembered her and I told him I didn't want to go. He was surprised and asked me why and I told him because that @#*& @#&% Is probably there. He said well why don't we go to the other one? The is an OTHER one? Yay. I didn't know that. So go to the other one. From now on we are only going to go to the other one. Unless they have somebody like her there too. You will probably hear about it if they do. I wanna be clear that every other person there was pretty awesome but it only takes one awful employee to ruin the experience for everybody. This place you has a lobby and then a shooting range, there's not really a back room. That's where you're supposed to put the people don't get along with customers. If you want an orgasmic feeling you MUST try the MP5 9mm full automatic it shoots like smooth butter! Or you can just come here and practice on your target shooting. This wasn't my first time at Quickshot, but it was the first time I've used the range. The prior visit was an art opening featuring my wife's photographs of women & guns. Seems strange to talk about a gun range and an art show in the same breath. But there you have it. Quickshot is a bit unlike other ranges. The lobby is not your typical range either - they don't sell guns and you'll find plenty of places to sit while you wait for friends to show up, finish their round or whatever. While you're there, check out the art. The staff are also perhaps cut from a slightly different cloth than what you might expect. I don't feel like I'm entering a survivalist outpost at Quickshot. Here, you'll get friendly greetings, friendly talk and friendly advice. Basically, a nice experience. Range bosses can sometimes be overbearing and authoritative at many ranges. Not so here with my visit. Quickshot's boss greeted people sincerely and very nicely tales care of business. He's there for everyone's safety but wasn't jerk about it. After determining this was my first visit to his range, he briefly explained the basic rules and then left me alone, although still watchful. Mind you, I know how to handle guns so I wouldn't expect any need for him to correct me on anything. I did notice him giving pointers to the guy in the next stall and he did so in a very courteous and helpful fashion. That's important, I think, with those unfamiliar with guns. The range itself is fine and pretty standard. The target trolley - or whatever you call it - worked fine and the acoustics weren't bad. All in all, a great range. I especially like being able to take a rifle. I own a vintage M1 carbine and occasionally like to run a few rounds through it. No problem at Quickshot. Thankfully, although it was Full Auto Friday, nobody was shooting an automatic weapon while I was there. That can be a bit distracting when you're concentrating to line up a shot. Recommended for gun nuts, novices, those just wanting to have a good time, everybody. read more

Is this an art gallery? A tattoo parlor? A lounge? One of those places where yuppies hold secret dinner parties? No, it's the most unlikely looking gun range, which is what makes it fantastic. This is not a hipster gun range - this is a fully-professional, veteran- friendly range down the road from Emory, just off Briarcliff. At least three Marines work there (Semper Fi) and they offer everything from one-on-one training to group classes. Yeah, they have free candy and coffee and comfortable couches as well as zombie targets, but these people are pros. This has to be the best gun range in Atlanta to take someone on a date. I walked in and thought that I was in the wrong place. As others have stated, it looks like an art gallery when you walk in. I thought it was cool. The lady at the desk told me who the artists were. She had time to do that because we got there as soon as it opened at 10am on a Saturday. Thank goodness because when we left, it was a mad house. While my companions filled out and signed the paper work that essentially states that if something bad happens, it's your fault, I went to work on the coffee and donuts that they had waiting for me because they knew I was coming. We chose our targets and proceeded to the back area where a very large and friendly gentleman ran down the rules and regulations. This was my first time at a gun range and also my first time shooting or handling a real gun, so I was a little bit nervous. The gun worker was so nice. He helped me and gave me tips, and actually he's the one that makes this a five star review. I wish I remembered his name. Since I don't I'll describe him: big, tall, Black, incredibly nice, and oh so very patient. I noticed that they offer classes for the various levels of gun knowledge and I will consider taking one here. This was the perfect place for my first time. That price will creep up on you if you're not careful. There were three of us and since we brought our own guns and ammo, I looked around a bit at the price. Again, it was my first time, so I had no kind of frame of reference. Whatever. I had a great time and I really liked the folks that worked there and that super cool lounge/art gallery. Hello 2016! This was one of my bday adventures and worth it. I have been a gun owner for quite a number or years and had about 3 different styles. I prefer revolvers and am not soo power hungry or an enthusiast, simply want to know how to shoot what I own. I have a 38 revolver and a 22 caliber. Its unfortunate we live in these times, so its important to protect yourself and your home. I had 2 friends who joined me and 2 who whimp't out...LOL We arrived on a Sat morning about 11 am-ish. We were promptly greeted by a nice young man at the counter who was very informative,... very!!! We had lots of questions and we got answers. We were shown a multitude of styles, it was kinda overwhelming. We were told the rules of engagement etc.... Next we chose what we wanted to shoot, got our guns and ammo, then entered the range. How LOUD I thought...LOL. Initially its a shocking sound (if you're unaccustomed to it and we were. We're nice girls but we will shoot if we must..:-) We put on our head gear, met our assistant, lined up, loaded up and aimed! I am not the best shot but I definitely hit the target, especially after 3 or 4 targets. I was best with the 38, although its a snub nose type (not for distance)...the 22 was kinda weak but its also what I own. I highly recommend if you are a gun owner or are planning to become one, you NEED to know what the hell you are doing so get out here, attend these ranges and learn...get the knowledge you need to handle a firearm! read more

Came here with my sisters. Everyone one super nice. We had our own guns and ammo, however a box of 50 starts at $50(FYI). We did 3 targets, goggles, headphones,and $18 per person. That put us right at $75. As stated we have guns but wanted to be be shown that proper way to use them. Q was AMAZING! He goes over the rules with everyone and assist when needed. We told him we need all the help lol. She should us how to load, aim, stand, fire and anything else that was needed. We did not feel rushed and this was with him helping us and still bouncing to greet and instruct each group that entered a lane. Although everyone was friendly, we come back just off of his service. We felt prepared to shoot and comfortable to do it on our own once he was done with us. read more

New to the Atlanta area and just dropped in to Quickshot to look at the facilities. Friendly staff greeted me as I walked in, and I ended up shooting 150 rounds instead of just taking a quick look. Very pleased that Quickshot rents the full earmuffs, rather than use the simple plugs. Nice selection of pistols and targets; used the Zombie target for "fun" but found that it was a great target with a lot of target areas. Going to try the playing cards target next time... and there will definitely be a next time. read more

The staff is very friendly and patient, and take the time to explain to you all the necessary steps of handling a gun & shooting. I'm not gettin' the hype, but I'll start out with the pros: 1. They have a nice space out front of the range. It looks more like a gallery and less like a gun range. For in town urbanite types, this will appeal to you. 2. Decent gun selection for rental--all standard stock market fare that gives you a solid representation of different brands/calibers. 3. Cookies/coffee--this is total schtick but folks will dig it, so props to you for this...I guess. Cons: red headed employee, grey spot on his head. 1. Control freak--if your clients come in with multiple guns and clearly know what they're doing, you shouldn't act like a bossy dad. 2. Gun safety--if you want to show your friends/loved ones how to properly load, unload, point and use a weapon, know that the only safe zone is in front of the red line in your shooting stall. This makes sense when there are folks in the range, but if you're the only guests, a quick safety lesson should be given in a safe zone. The red line stuff does not create a conductive environment to show folks how to properly use a weapon. You have a table in the back for a reason. Let folks use it. 3. Moving other people's guns--Mr. Manager--my guns are mine. You should not pick them up and move them of your own accord. You should ask me/your guests to move to areas you deem appropriate, but moving guns and magazines into a range bag and scuffing up other people's firearms is just uncool. 4. Recycle--It's not 1982. You should recycle the plastic that houses bullets. Don't throw them away. 5. Comfortable environment--you should create a safe and comfy environment for your guests. Brow beating them into your controlling ways incentivizes your clients to go elsewhere. 6. Pricing--your pricing sucks. $16 per hour, per person is absurd. This is the only indoor range I've ever visited, so I don't have anything to compare it to. However, it's a nice and welcoming place with friendly staff. There is art on the walls and they have coffee and water - and candy- for customers. This would be a great place for first-time shooters. There are tons of guns available for rent. When you walk in, it doesn't look like a shooting range. Instead, it looks like some sort of industrial art studio. There are trendy paintings on the walls, along with some targets. They even have a huge lounge area to chill. I like that. I can sit on the couches while waiting for my friends to get there. The ranges are clean and well ventilated. The range masters there sweep up the brass frequently and they all seem friendly and helpful. Actually, everyone that works there seem cool and friendly. It seems like they have no caliber restrictions on their range. I saw people shooting shotgun slugs, pistols, rifles, and even fully automatic guns. They also seem newbie friendly. The range masters take time to take care of the newbies, teaching them safety and such--unlike other ranges who seem to let the newbies fend for themselves. They also have delicious cookies available for free. They were tasty. One negative thing I did notice was their men's bathroom. Inside, they had two toilets, not urinals, in the open. They should put a stall around the toilets for some privacy. I mean, what if someone has to poop? read more

A recent visit shows that they've opened about half-a-dozen more lanes suitable for both handguns and rifles; they have also started renting rifles and machine guns. These lanes include a motorized target retrieval system. However, I have one little hang-up and it's bugging me. A lot. So, the prices are "$16 per hour". That's fine. But they don't specify if that's per lane or per person. Just a flat price. So, here's the thing... if the price is per lane, they should only charge per lane used, no matter if there is 1 person or 7 people sharing the lane. (If they do this, they should really cap it at 3 or 4 people per lane.) But if the price is $16/hr, per person, then I want my own lane. I don't want to share. If I go with someone and we are each paying $16 per hour... we should get our own lanes. Upon my most recent visit, I had to share a lane with the person I went with. Both of us were firing. And it would have been really nice to both go in, shoot, and be done at the same time. Instead, we had to go back and forth and take turns. When I was done, I was ready to go. But no, I had to wait around for him to finish. Look, I'm selfish, impatient, and easily frustrated. I need you guys to spell out what you mean. Oh, you charge per person, per hour? Cool. Give me my own lane since I'm paying for it anyways, or ASK ME if I'm okay with sharing one.
