Absolutely fantastic! We could not be happier for the care provided to our two older GSDs!…read more We had horrible problems with our old vet: diagnosed our boy with cancer and even wanted to remove his leg, then without asking raised his allergy meds and he had a severe reaction. We had enough of them and decided to wait until Mountain Lake opened and would make the move! Dr. Kranz changed our lives and informed us our dog did not have cancer rather was arthritic in his legs. She changed his diet and his brothers and both are on their way to living healthier lives. More energy, and losing weight and happy to chase balls! Don has been incredible as well answering our frequent calls and getting our pets taken care of! Cannot recommend them enough!

Is she perfect? Nope. Because there is no such thing. Remember that. Doesn't change the fact we still like her and trust our dogs lives with her. It's interesting seeing folks be upset about how they are treated or how much they have to pay. I am sorry, but that is on you for not doing your homework. Pets are not cheap. Do your homework on what your breeds are prone to, what the costs are, if there are any specialists you might need in your area. For some of those spinal and allergy issues we have had to bring our dogs all over Colorado and sometimes out of state. Knowing those details will actually help you make your decision. Veterinarians also get very busy. You are not their only patient even though you think you are. If its an emergency, take it to the Emergency center. If you are not happy, find a different veterinarian and be unhappy over there. You want cheap? Get a goldfish.

As we are moving to another country the veterinarian and staff researched the proper protocols and verified with me every step to Ensure our dog would not be quarantined. Costs were reasonable and a timeline set to accomplish my goals. I give a 5 star rating for exceptional experiences. If your pet has need of a veterinarian I recommend this office for a smooth and friendly experience. Conveniently located right behind the Walgreens of downtown Caste Rock.

The old management team and doctors were the most amazing people we have ever encountered helping our pets. They were hands-on and genuinely loving and caring to the animals as well as the owners and they didn't overcharge or over bill. During the Covid season, our family had to put down one of our dogs. The vets were the absolute kindest and allowed us and our masks on to be in the room. A new team of doctors and management has taken over I am not at all pleased. They did tests on one of our dogs without talking to us first as to what tests would be done and at what cost. I walked out with an extremely high bill. I was told I could have a free check up in one week and they found something else to charge me for without even asking again and then wanted to throw a shot for $70 for who knows what and then more pills to take. They do tests and they do not tell you how much the tests are. I'm very disappointed in the direction that Blue Spruce animal clinic has gone because we really did trust the previous doctors.

When we…read morebought our first one we were already established with another veterinarian though Dr DeTurk provided most of the initial care for her and our second pup as part of the contract. Shortly after this, we lost our primary veterinarian and transferred all our care to Monument Vet. We have never had poor service and yes they can be busy- that is why veterinary hospitals for emergencies exist. Neither my husband or I have ever experienced rudeness from anyone. Also, this is very common with most busy vet practices in this day and age due to a shortage of veterinarians. As to the "up-charges" when you bring a pet in for some services- esp. those involving any sedation or anesthesia, these are offered for the safety of the pet as they are usually labs to ensure the pet is healthy. It is up to you rather you take them or not. We always consider this and do them. However, I'm sure if this is involved they will provide a total cost in advance if you ask for this. Our dobies are now 8 & 3 years old respectively and are great dogs. Both my husband & I highly recommend this clinic.

They had healthy dog visits and vaccines there in April 2026. Recently one of the dogs had a critical health event. The front desk is improperly trained in understanding situations and quickly directing people to the right care. After two phone calls we were given the address to an emergency care facility. In the first call, the clerk informed us of their unavailability that day, and for the next 4 days. She suggested to "try another vet". Our dog passed away in route to the emergency clinic. The emergency vet did a scan of our dog post-death and gave us some information about the issue causing her collapse. We wanted to share this with Dr. Erin DeTurck but she has not responded to our message and call. I'm sure this vet office is fine as long as your pet just needs an exam and vaccines and you understand that you will get an upsell for dental work. We found out the hard way that you cannot count on this clinic for much more than that. In a panic time you should be able to count on getting some sound advice and direction from a vet with which you have had a long-standing relationship.
