Next, we go to the back to do the "fitting" and the "pro" CJ doesn't give any input to what driver he recommends and why he recommends it, I basically fit myself. I had to pull him out of the back room to give me any input on club choice. For a customer to walk in wanting to spend a good chunk of change on a club and get treated like that explains why this place is a 3 star, I should have done my research before, and I will not be coming back to this store.

They also had a great selection of all the newest clubs and any configuration you could need. I've never been fitted before and it was definitely an experienced I enjoyed and already hit the clubs I got very well.

Instead of giving up, the guys at Grips searched all over town- even after hours to find the right screw and get my club repaired. They went way beyond what anyone would expect--and only charged me $20. The driver is back, once again ripping wicked slices into peoples' back yards as the Good Lord intended, and I couldn't be more grateful. Outstanding service and genuinely great people.

I came to Springfield for a tournament and discovered upon arrival that I had lost my go-to wedge somewhere the previous day. I called my home club but no one had turned it in. So , I borrowed a wedge from the Head Professional to get me through the tournament. He told me about Grips. I went to the shop the next day and was "gobsmacked" by the service. I expected a quick in-and-out with some stock club, but I left with a wedge customized with the shaft I had in my lost club, the grip I use, length, loft, lie and swing weight adjusted to my specs. All with no up-charge! In fact, the charges were quite a bit less than pro shop retail pricing. I don't know how I can give this place more than 5 stars, but. If I could, I would.

There were no rangers on the course. It rained heavily two days earlier and play was restricted to cart path only. It took over 4 hrs to play the first 9 , we were 4th in line at 10 . We left at 5.5 hrs on hole 12. I drove 10 hours to play the course. Fees were 300. Dollars. This was a birthday present my 60th . I play to a 12 handicap. I would not recommend. Definitely not worth 300 dollars. They should look after their guests, it could have been a better experience if they were properly staffed, and available for questions (starter). If a ranger patrolled the rate of play, and not allow groups of 8 to ruin play and drive paying customers from the course .

Everyone was friendly and greeted us with big smiles, hello's and friendly service. I mean everyone from ground staff to wait staff everyone was ready to serve or just being helpful. The pool area is top notch and would compete with any resort. There is a kids water play ground too. Bar service evil it's ISR was prompt and properly frequent. Our room was great despite the aforementioned, bed was comfortable and all the little details in order. Our room had a walk out balcony which we really appreciated and used throughout our stay. There are several restaurants on the property but make a reservation at the Summit, spend a little too much cause it's worth it. Immaculate service, wonderful top flight foods, ridiculously good deserts! Pull your boat up to the courtesy slips and enjoy a meal or pick up supplies at the ship store. There are 27 holes of championship golfing with more to come, a full service gym, spa, sauna, and the typical ball rooms and meeting rooms. Really this would be five stars if not for all the noise and I can't fault the staff or service, perhaps the building contractor? Sadly then, they really deserve five stars, we are already planning a return visit and plans to rent a boat. PS we would have rented a boat but the weather was not great on this trip and really you come to a place like this for four things; boating, fishing, golf, and pampering afterwards.
