We found this store by pure coincidence when we were in the area for a fun annual event in Carlsbad so we stopped in to see the clothes. In fact, my daughter was the one who had to come see because she said the clothes were so pretty she had to go inside the store to get a closer look. She wasn't wrong. I thought it was a motorcycle gear store and then stepping into was able to admire the painted surf boards, female and male apparel, second hand clothing, cool laid-back art...and the super surprise of a bondai shop or garden in the backyard. I bought a shirt there. I had some tops I was hoping to get rid of it so I thought I would tried selling there. I should have known better, I've tried selling clothes at Plato's Closet, Flashback, Buffalo Exchange etc...and they never take my stuff. I don't know why and I promise I always made sure they were clean and in good condition. They were brands they listed they accepted on the site: Anthropologie and American Eagle...they didn't take any. The girls were super nice and I appreciated it. But it just always seemed wild to me that they take on brands such as Wild & Fable and A New Day...and my stuff isn't that super outdated again I don't know their process for selecting clothes because they do have curated pieces. In summary, for shopping it could be fun and you can find some stuff but not on a thrift price. However as for selling, unfortunately at this point now I've just never had a good experience selling clothes at these kind of places. If you want to sell clothes you will have better luck on Poshmark where I've sold clothes more easily. So this place can be fun for buying but for selling you might leave feeling frustrated and confused which is why I rated this place at 3 stars.

Initially planning to check out one store ended up being 2 separate stores with the same name. The smaller store had so many nice items. There were figurines, artwork, dishes, A LOT of various glassware and more. And the prices were also good. The larger store was huge. This is where they have bigger household items. SO many different couches, chairs, dining tables, decorative rugs, etc. What I loved about these stores is that they were organized, clean, and have quality products for a good price. But seriously, they've got really good stuff. I haven't been super impressed with the furniture yet, but Coast 101 is the PERFECT place to find little knick knacks and home-decorations you didn't know you needed until you went there. Inexpensive tools, outdoor pots, kitchen ware, and books (just to name a few categories). Check their website for estate sales around the area too. Sometimes they're a waste of time, but I tend to love going even when I leave empty handed.

Response to Ann's comment regarding my negative review of her and her business…read more.. Her statement of "someone we never conducted business with" is an outright lie! I met her several times at the property and after meeting with Ann and one of her competitors, I engaged Ann and her company to do the liquidation. Her company was on-site several times after the date that I hired them. Also, her comment that I was "going through a tough time" is laughable. My ONLY tough time was in dealing with her and her shady operation. As a seasoned businessman, I would NEVER treat my customers like she did and I would NEVER recommend her business to anyone.
