Dr. Rao and all his team are amazing. You can tell that he is an expert in his field and has had a strong medical support staff for a long time. I am blown away by the caliber of his office. It is a beautiful space and everyone is so friendly. I am so grateful to have been helped by Dr. Rao, especially in Fresno which I could not even have imagined to have this level of service and expertise in this city. 11/10. 5 stars all day. Rao Dermatology is a cash and grab for your insurance. They literally removed half a cyst and sewed me back up. They failed to contact me until I left a 1 star review on their page. Even when i had the stitches I called 2 times saying i was still in pain and needed help. they told me to just recover because once you remove part of a cyst its supposed to feel that way. Now there trying to cover their asses by saying they kept calling me but i have screenshots of my call log and voicemail. I would never in my damn life recommend this place to anyone on this earth due to the fact they will perform half surgery and tell u to come back later so they can fill in appointments and cash grab your insurance. The sad thing is they tried belittling me over the phone once i reached out to them and they lied about contacting me when my lab results came in. I had to play phone tag and now since its a serious issue to where i can sue. they're trying to cover their ass. If anyone goes to this place make sure u don't leave until u get the treatment your insurance paid for. i never leave bad reviews but here i am 2 months out and now they're saying they can finally help me now lol and today they just gave me my lab results. This place is extremely unprofessional. If you even google maps the place or visit you will see its a shared building with other companies which isn't a good look. I am now about to attend school for a month for a career. afterwards ill have it removed but I'm most def letting a lawyer look into this for me. Super disappointed about this facility. I got a bill for the office visit and I paid for it by phone since they don't allow online payment. What is irritating is that I got mail continuously saying I did not pay my bill for several months until it said they will send it to collections. I called and told them I paid the payment. They stated they did not get any payment. When I paid it again, I noticed my old receipt in my email from last year. I do not want to go through another headache of wasting my time and trying to get my money back for a very minor appointment. I was referred to Rao Dermatology by my gp . I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. I was treated very well by the staff, and my doctor was very precise in her diagnosis and treatment. I'm very happy with the care I received and I would recommend this office to anyone that needs a dermatologist. They do cosmetic treatments there as well. read more

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I went in about a year ago to help get rid of my acne and my skin has never been better. In the past, I have had 2 moles removed on my face and wasn't satisfied by the way it turned out as I have 2 bumps still remaining where the moles were. Daughter had a large growing mole removed and it formed a keloid because it was too large of an area without the skin being put back together. Was told to put a powder on it after it was removed and when it healed, the doc thought it was fine. Now will go elsewhere for keloid help as it is in a noticeable area. read more

I had a 2:30 appointment there for Botox. I arrived on time but unfortunately for me, the PA that was supposed administer the Botox was having a fantastic conversation with a drug rep. The conversation was apparently so titillating that she couldn't stop talking with her. After a 1/2 hour of listening to their conversation from the exam room I got up to leave. As I was walking out she walked in and was startled to see me leaving. She asked what was going on and I told her that I have been waiting over a half hour listening to her non-work conversation with the drug rep and that as much fun as it was I needed to leave and pick up my kids. She gave no apology and just said, "Well, I'm here now. What can I help you with?" I left, saved my $500, but wasted about 45 minutes of my time. Drugs reps will gladly come back. They are trying to sell a product. They will probably even wait the 45 minutes I had to. But the patient who is buying a product and actually paying the bills should not be kept waiting. I have been a patient with this office for years for both medical and cosmetic services. The new PA is awful. Just awful. I may not go back. read more

I cannot believe how fast they acted to keep my daughter on tract with the only treatment that has worked. They took us in on short notice. Squeezed us in at 730am to accommodate us. ( we live an hour away ) and did everything possible to make sure my daughter had what she needed. My daughter was so worried. Dr Rao made everything all good. Sounds kinda silly but unless you have a 14 1/2 year old daughter you just cannot understand how important their service was today. Holly, griselle , all top notch. I cannot speak to the experience of Dr. Rao, as it is impossible to get an appointment with him, he is booked months in advance and only in the Fresno office once a month. The available doctors are less than stellar. I was overwhelmed by the product placement and complete focus on cosmetic procedures at this office. These are not serious doctors, they are one step up from sales clerks at a beauty bar. Botox and other like products obviously make up the bulk of this office's profit margin. If you have an actual skin concern, or are just looking for a doctor to perform an annual exam--find someplace else. I had an 8:30am appointment and was kept waiting for over an hour because the doctor was "held up" with a "tricky" injection. My skin cancer screening was the fastest and least complete exam I have ever received. Unless you are looking for cosmetic procedures--go somewhere, anywhere else. read more

Reception is incompetent at best. Scheduled an excision, they wrote it on the reminder card but after taking the afternoon off I showed up for an injection appt and they were incapable of performing the removal. I had no services rendered, but because the nurse sat in the office while reception tried to make schedule adjustments they billed my insurance. I protested the charge and they refunded my copay. I believe this is INSURANCE FRAUD. Lastly, i paid all services as rendered or at the very least when billed. I get a letter for a bill from 2 years past. Once again their inept receptionist goes through the billing, not reflecting any of the information on the bill in my hand and then explains this is the 5th attempt. 5th attempt on a 2 year old bill, including bills before my insurance paid. Seriously, what doctor's office does this. You bill after the insurance or at minimum with the estimated patient portion, something they never figured out because every appointment they failed to collect the correct copay. THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT PROFESSIONALS. The office was nice and Diana performs excellent facial planing. Too bad i wont be returning. read more

I am a patient at Rao Dermatoloy I had an appointment on Friday with Joseph Contreras, PA-C. While waiting for my turn to go into examining room, I observed the staff in the outer office. I noticed how the greet the patients, answer the phones and how they interact with each other. They are very professional and personable. I could hear the young lady "Grisel", answer the phone and make appointments for the next office visit. She was so kind and her voice was very respectful and gentle. When I approached her desk I thanked her for being so kind and professional. I let her know I didn't feel like I was just a number but I felt like she really cared about me as well as other patients. I told her she was an inspiration to me and she really made my day. I truly appreciate being so well taken care of. All the doctors are great. Dr Rao has done surgery on my nose for skin cancer. Very kind and gentle. I have always felt like I was treated with respect and totally cared for by all the nursed and Joseph. I have confidence in their knowledge and treatments my skin requires. I found out about this place through a friend. It was very easy to get an appointment and sooner than I thought. Most places I called were booked for months. The staff was very friendly. I did not see the doctor, but the nurse practitioner was great. The building was a little confusing and I got lost on my way there but overall, I had a great experience. read more

I was treated with excellent customer service! Everyone was so friendly! The girls in the front were more than willing to answer all my questions and help me select the best product for my face! The room assistants were great and being there to answer any other questions I had. The clinicians were very specific on what treatment would be best for my condition and they were right! It worked!
