When called I was taken to a changing room and given a gown , and assigned a locker where I chose my own code to secure my belongings. The technician verified my name& DOB, reason for the MRI and reviewers my medical history. I was then led too the procedure room and secured in place on the table , given the mandatory headphones and panic button and the exam was completed in about 30 minutes. The radiologist was extremely pleasant and ensured my comfort. I can only go to the locations with somewhat " open "'machines because of claustrophobia- the top sides of the machine are open do that you can see the room , so even with claustrophobia and being inside the machine up to your neck most people should be fine since you can still see your surroundings. There are other facilities with more open machines but I've been informed by doctors that they aren't as accurate. The results were available quickly online at the patient portal for me and my referring physician. The front desk staff was efficient. The parking lot is somewhat small but there are usually some spots along Sunrise Highway in front and some street parking in the back . Overall a an efficient, professional and straightforward process with good radiologists. I only go to this location for MRIs and recommend them.

As for Oak Street Health in Freeport, NY, I find the operation/offices/waiting room to be immaculate, spotless, and extremely well-managed. The Staff, both Nursing and Clerical, are stellar professionals that clearly have your care in the forefront of their operation. The GOAL of this office is to not accept people without appointments! You can tell that this is purposely done. They barely call people that have appointments. I witnessed for about 15 minutes at a time of the screen in the lobby displaying zero (0) patients being serviced. You can hear them from the waiting area laughing and joking in the back. It's so unprofessional. Not sure who is managing the place, but they can use some supervision from someone who actually cares. My teenager needed blood work done. We were told by his doctor not to eat or drink after midnight before his appointment. He was apparently dehydrated and so I was chastised about not giving him water to drink. She couldn't find the vein even though his veins were showing on his hand but the phlebotomist said they didn't have any butterflies. Amazing! Luckily, she was good at what she does or I would have raised hell. She got it in one poke. Thank goodness. No one hurts my son. So parents, if your kids' veins are hard to find, call and make sure they have experienced phlebotomists or butterflies. ***second review*** This does not change my terrible experience for my first son as this time around, my youngest had a great experience. The phlebotomist, Darla, was amazing with him. He was anxious from the night before and she did an amazing job calming him down. He did not feel anything because this time, they had the butterflies. She talked to him and was very engaging. She needs to train that other person. This place would be better for it. Changing the stars just because of this experience. They get 4 stars from 2. I would have given them 5 stars but the first experience takes that star away.

I've had an appointment for a procedure rescheduled by them (at the last minute) 4 times! With no regard for my health, they called me 3 times the night before my appointment to reschedule, because the staff needed for my test wouldn't be at the location where my appointment was... really? They scheduled the appointment in a location that couldn't do the test? This past Wednesday, I left work early for my appointment (originally scheduled in December), and you guessed it - they asked to reschedule AGAIN! I was already at the facility, they had already taken my payment, and I was sitting in the Women's Health waiting room when they told me the necessary staff wasn't there! My scan is not 4 months overdue! Furthermore, their communication system is excessive, and I've been bombarded with text messages, voicemails, and emails - all are impersonal and redundant. I'm done with them. Please NEVER use Lenox Hill -Go elsewhere for your scans and tests. Your health is worth driving the extra miles to a better facility.
