The team was able to help us create a plan to identify the source of the water and get it dry quickly. Unfortunately we had to pull up our flooring and do some demolition to our walls to access all the water but they did that in less than a few hours . I was grateful they disposed of all the damage materials. It took a lot of equipment to get us back to dry but the noise was not too bad with our doors closed. I am thankful to be dry, sanitized, and mold free. The 3 gentlemen were able to explain every step of the process and keep us informed on what it takes to stop water damage in our Ellisville home. They showed up in a couple days after being called, so not too bad. Then is got bad. they would show up for a day and get some things done and then call and say they had an emergency and then not show up a couple days, later when they showed up do some work, they would leave the wet carpet and debris in the basement. Would call and not show up for a week. finally got all the wet carpet, padding and drywall. They started in 2nd week of March and finished in later April. They would ask if they could leave some equipment behind, so they did not have to drag it around, and then charge me for it being stored at my house. Also, they never quoted a price until they found out how much insurance was covering. When they found that out they got a contract out to us at the end of the work instead of upfront. I feel that they took advantage of a situation and inflated their prices knowing how much insurance would cover. I would never recommend or even come close to using this company ever again. read more

My experience was great with this company until today. They came out at the end of September, messages I have is September 25th, but not 100% sure on the actual date they came out and completed demo. Long story short, we had a bad experience with our insurance adjuster at our insurance company. Keep in mind, that I had kept Grant informed every step of the way of this process. The lady that was helping us was either fired or quit, which delayed our claim being approved. We waited a couple of weeks, trying to get in touch with our adjuster to see what was going on. We were finally assigned a new adjuster. I had to send her everything as she didn't have any of the documents/pictures/information on the claim. I let Grant know that we were assigned a new claims adjuster and that they stated it was approved. The insurance company just had to wait for them to sign off. This was Thursday, November 7th. Yesterday, November 12th, I was able to finally sign the docs with the insurance company. They stated we would have the check 5-7 business days. Again, I let Grant know via text of all this communication. Today, he called me and was extremely aggressive on the phone. Stating that I am past due 30 days and that I need to pay him immediately. Stated there is interest on my invoice that I need to pay. I wasn't aware that I would be charged interest, or I would have paid Rapid Dry a long time ago. The way he spoke to me on the phone would bring the negative side out of anyone that he talked to this way. He stated that he was extremely busy and that he had taken over 2K phone calls and didn't know if he had talked to me or not. My issue is that I have been communicating with him this entire time that we were having issues with our insurance company, and he didn't say anything about the invoice accumulating interest. I have text messages showing that I have been keeping him updated on the status of the claim. I will never use his company again nor will I EVER refer them to anyone. Not because of the work that they did, because this was good, but merely due to how he spoke to me and how aggressive he was on the phone when he just called me. Grant literally was screaming at me. After 10 minutes of a phone call with someone yelling at you and being aggressive, I think about anyone would react to this. Grant called me on Wednesday and cleared time to see my the following day Thursday. Since we are dealing with possible mold, he wanted to make sure to see the possible mold damage as soon as possible. Upon inspecting the damage, he determined that the area was definitely moist and he suggested that we talk to a roofer. There wasn't any mold yet. The roofer will determine what the problem is. I see lots of good reviews. And i can agree Grant is nice and explained a lot. When your sewer backs up you are overwhelmed. We called him on Saturday, he said he would come Saturday around 6:00 pm. He called at 9:00 pm to say he was tied up and would come Sunday. When he came Sunday i explained i was not sure if i had insurance and he kept saying don't worry, we will get this all replaced. Then he had me sign a paper that we wouldn't touch the equipment and he put a dehumidifier in my basement. I found out i had very little insurance and decided to go with another company and do some of the work ourselves. I called him on Monday morning after talking with my insurance. He said ok and picked up his equipment. But then i got a bill from Tammy in the office. She is not easy to deal with. I explained to her my insurance said the machines were doing nothing in the basement until you rip out the carpet and even though the initial call to come out was supposed to be free - i would pay for the service call. She argued with me and talked over me when i talked. Said they could reduce some things. I felt bullied. And i feel like he put the machine in my basement just so he could charge me even though i said i didn't know if i had insurance. They wanted over $300 for doing nothing but showing up for 30 minutes to walk through the house. I offered to pay $174 for a service call. Now i am getting harassing phone calls. I rarely write reviews unless I feel a strong sense to share a positive experience with others, and that's the situation I find myself in today. I rent a house, and while I consider myself fairly saavy with many tasks, plumbing and sewage problems is not something I particularly strong at. Given that, when my sewer drain in the basement started backing up, things were not looking good. After getting the drain "unclogged", I had quite the mess to cleanup. Frantically trying to fix the problem myself, I knew that I needed a professional, and so I set out to google. Rapid Dry and owner Grant Erfert was the third or fourth result that came up, but for some reason, they were my first call. I called the number, and to my surprise, the owner himself took my call. He was helpful, friendly, and most of all UNDERSTANDING. He told me he'd be there as soon as he could, and less than an hour later, Grant was at my door. He immediately diagnosed the problem and started working on as much as he could-for free. Unfortunately, the owner of the house wanted me to cut some corners so Grant was unable to complete the job for me. However, he diagnosed the problem and even helped me with a few minor issues I was having with my AC and dryer before he left. Having sewage in your basement can be embarrassing and shameful. You feel dirty. You feel like if anyone sees the mess coming out of the ground in your home, you will have to move to another state from the humiliation. Not with Rapid Dry! They understand.
