Great place great people and been around for quite a while... I think in a lot of these places you have to come in with a certain level of respect or a certain level of appropriateness in this day and age... It isn't like a decade or two ago, where it was a lot more fun and lighthearted things have gotten heavy in this community, and I think that shops have to be a little more professional and at times people can't take that as offputting. I didn't get that vibe here. I know some of the reviews mentioned certain things they didn't like about the staff, but I as a long time to 2a supporter know that I wouldn't have acted in that manner. Good prices I mean here and Keith's are the place to go in the area and this place is great for NFA. If that's what you're looking for and I will definitely recommend it as they are good people are friendly, no BS and a very clean nice show room. read more

I had purchased a firearm, completed the background check, and then was called saying I was approved. I had originally provided an Oregon license but misplaced it. I then decided to use my passport and vehicle registration which is sufficient identification per federal law and ATF standards. They stated I needed my initially provided form of identification to "know it was really me". I believe some education for the staff needs to happen in terms of acceptable identification. I had written a previous review that, after further contemplation, wasn't necessarily deserved and resorted from frustration. I had been inconvenienced due to the distance I had to travel and after getting off that morning from a shift at the hospital. EDIT: Yes, I presented my passport initially and had my registration on hand. After they denied my passport, they specifically stated I needed to have my initial identification given at the time of purchase. So, there was no misunderstanding. I was given bad information by an ill-advised staff member. After being told I needed my original identification that was initially scanned, I assumed providing a vehicle registration was not going to satisfy their requirement. I later found my license, but could have been a bigger headache had I needed to wait for a replacement, because my background check would have expired. read more

I have been a long time customer of firearms, shooting and hunting supplies. In the last decade I have purchased 4 or 5 firearms from Rapid fire. Approximately 5 years ago I went in with my girlfriend. We noticed the rude, vulgar language being used by the staff in anonchalant fashion. This was not only in the presence of the owner, but it seemed to be instigated by him. My girlfriend found it offensive and when she mentioned it. I started noticing. They seem to think it was amusing and that everyone wanted to hear it. She refuses to go in there again. I occasionally still go in to see what they have in inventory or if there is any. Thing I want. I have noticed that every time I go in this rood offensive loud language is occurring. I was in there within the last week and I heard them discussing female body parts. I heard large tits, huge brown areola, 2 inch nipples and huge fucking meat curtains. These are direct quotes that were spoken at a very loud volume. I proceeded to turn and leave. I do not consider this finny in any way or an appropriate way to run a business. Again, this seemed to be mainly instigated by the owner but. Also involved the other employees. read more

Tried this shop about 5 times spent around $1000 total in those visits. this last time I stopped by to check it out, grab some mags and talk ammo with some of the guys, the manager told me how I was a friggen idiot for not selling the ammunition I own right now. Seen as how most people purchase things to own and not resell, I was offended and put my mags back and left the store. I will not try again, these guys know it all and put unnecessary 10-15% more on everything. Go elsewhere cheaper, and not deal with the know it alls who are too good to sell their shop. I have loved Rapid Fire since I walked through the door the first time! Brian and his staff are AWESOME! They are patient and attentive to your questions and or concerns. I've spent a pretty penny at Rapid Fire and always know I'll be happy with the business I do there. It's a half hour drive for me to get there and I will always choose Rapid Fire over the numerous shops within 5-10 minutes of my house. Let me start by saying I've never had Bad service here, ever! The guys in the shop are always super informative and helpful not only when purchasing guns, equipment, ammunition, I find it comical looking at other reviews of people who are being idiotic or childish. I was able to find a kel-tec shotgun here that they got back in stock after waiting 4-5 months for. The only problem I've ever had is every time I go in I want to buy something new or just everything! I have bought 2 rifles from this store and I've had no complaints about it at all I have been wanting a new hunting rifle and Brian gave me all the information I need to make the purchase he gave me business recommendation and personal recommendation for the gun I wanted to buy. June 27-2022 Went in today to look at Hand guns as I have been thinking about getting one! It has been many years since I had one so was looking to get some recommendations on what type of gun would be best for me. The salesman who helped me was very patient and informative on the types of guns and was vey helpful in showing me many different types of guns! He went over the pro and cons of each of the guns we looked at as well!! Took his time in showing me and helping me get informed on the guns!!! He showed me at least 10 different types of gins to help determine what would be best for me and my wife! There gun prices were as well very reasonable priced as well!! It was important to him we were comfortable in a the gun before we purchased it as well!! His customer service was absolutely amazing and will absolutely go back to purchase my gun from they and would absolutely recommend them to all of my friends and family members!!! A few days ago I wrote a review for the store and listed it as 1 Star, and in all honesty that wasn't fair. Even though I had a bad experience with one sales guy, I need to say that there were two other gentlemen working in the store that day who were both knowledgeable and kind. And the store itself... while I won't shop there because of the one sales guy and the subsequent conflict with the owner, it is an impressive place, with a full and Thorough inventory of weapons ammo and accessories. And if you avoid any humor while inside the building, you should have a good experience. Im leaving my original review as well. I went in to check the store out for future purchases and jokingly asked if they sell pint ball guns so I could shoot a kid in the bottom who was skate boarding continuously back and forth in front of my house. The response I got by one specific employee was rather aggressive. I must admit his instant over the top anger did cause me to push the joke a little farther than I normally would, saying I suppose it wouldn't be good to use a pellet gun and that i had already decided it would be bad to use my 22. I know I shouldn't have but his attitude kind of got me going. Seeing he was getting even more angry I explained I was kidding, something the other two gentlemen already seemed to realize as they had laughed. I explained I was kidding and that I had actually spoken to the child about why he liked the spot directly in front of my house, but he still maintained his violent threatening demeanor. He then stated while staring hard directly at me that if someone shot his kid with a paintball gun he would kick down their door and wipe the floor with them. I took this as a personal threat. Not the best attitude for someone who works at or owns a gun shop, it makes me think that a man who immediately threatens violence upon a small woman must already be prone to that behavior and as I don't like to frequent businesses owned or operated by that type of person I will go elsewhere for my weaponry needs The owner of this store is just as aggressive as his employee. I see from a past review this is normal behavior for him. Accusing me of promoting violence towards children... insisting I am just a "mean" reviewer, telling me he watched the video and saying I said things I didn't as well as that I was seriously threatening a child. This guy is just a bully and I'm glad to know it before I spent money at his store . Go elsewhere! read more

Rapid Fire Arms is the single most ill-informed, rude, and unprofessional gun shop I have ever encountered! My trading partner selected Rapid Fire as his local receiving dealer to complete an internet firearm trade with me. I shipped my firearm to Rapid Fire and they received it, but told my trading partner that I did not provide the proper information in support of the firearm transfer. This was not true, and was the second instance of misinformation from Rapid Fire. Prior to shipping, Rapid Fire provided my trading partner with blatantly incorrect information about interstate shipping requirements for firearms. Troubled by their false report and bad information, I called Rapid Fire at the suggestion of my trading partner to clarify the matter. From the start, I was treated with suspicion and contempt, as though I was somehow trying to deceive them. I was not pleased by this, and wanted to know why they insisted on receiving completely unnecessary information from me outside of Federal requirements. The representative transferred my call to a second person with no explanation. The second person (who I later learned was the owner) was immediately hostile, refusing to let me speak and angrily insisting that I must meet HIS requirements (as opposed to Federal law.) I tried to protest and he abruptly hung up the phone. I absolutely DID NOT use defamatory language or profanity during the brief conversation. Stunned, I called back and said I'd just been hung up on. The owner immediately and profanely berated me, saying, "Yeah, 'cause you're being a d!¢k and a f*¢k!n' a$$h0le. Are you gonna give me the information I want or just be a f*¢k!n' a$$h0le?" I immediately hung up, as I will not tolerate demeaning language. The very next day, without ANY additional information from me, Rapid Fire transferred the firearm to my trading partner, clearly proving that their childish demand for extra information was bogus and foolish. Rapid Fire Arms epitomizes the cliché of ignorant, self-important know-it-alls running a gun shop. There simply HAS to be a better, more professional alternative for FFL services in the Sandy / Portland area. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! read more

These guys are awesome. I go in with my husband every now and then and am always treated like a friend. No question is ever looked at as silly or stupid, always a straight answer. When trying to figure out which firearm would be the best option for me, they were very patient and informing of each one they showed me (which in total was probably close to 30 different ones). Not only were they helpful, they were friendly-- which is a lot more than I can say for other, more well known gun shops in Gresham. The staff was knowledgeable, the shop was clean and had a great selection. They were even willing to stay open an extra couple minutes as I raced to buy a gas block to finish a project.
